“This place has become somewhat of a tradition in our family. We come to Massachusetts to visit my aunt and uncle and we reserve a few lanes for a couple of hours on Black Friday. They have a package deal which is a little expensive but the food keeps flowing and the service is pretty darn good. It was about $2,500. I believe they have other package deals. The one thing that upset us was that there was a $450 bar minimum. It's 11:00 in the morning! Don't get me wrong I enjoy a good bloody Mary in the morning but this is a family affair! Not to mention we have been going there for about 5 years now maybe longer and they still haven't cut us any type of a VIP deal. If you do the math I'm sure we've spent over $10,000 with them. Anyhow, the bowling's fun the food is good the service was good I would recommend this place for sure. I wish I had photos to share but it basically looks like any other bowling alley just nice and clean. Enjoy“

“Holy moly! Rainy first night in Boston staying up the way at the Commonwealth we visited the Kenmore. Nathan took great care of us. Solid pour at the bar. Can I say enough about the K Burger? Likely not other than the first bite blows your mind. Quality over everything else. Great spot, will be back tonight and tomorrow night looking for Sturgill Simpson fans.“

“What the menu lacks in variety, it makes up for in quality. We had the kebabs, chips & salsa and the chicken sandwich, and every single one blew away our expectations. Flavors were complex and robust, food perfectly prepared, and the worst part of the meal was when the decent portions were gone.

“If it's crowded expect to wait a long time for your food. My food actually came out before my drinks did. I was told the bar was backed up but when I looked there was no one there. My waiter was new which I held space for but she was little forgetful and would forget to. Ome back to our table. Again she was new and it was her first day not in training. She was super nice and sweet.

Parking: If you can find parking on the street for free good luck.“

“Second time here within 6 months. Last time they were good and I vowed I would give them another try. Last time there was no table service, I sat at the counter then. The place was lively and the food was decent. This time I ordered veggie omelet with shelled eggs and beef sausage with home fries and grits on the side, plus coffee. Then I sat down.

Prompt service from Ms. Edna..she's on point. She's personable, has great multitasking skills, and tries to anticipate your wants in a timely fashion. The only issue I had was with the home fries. Some of them were undercooked and you need to use a generous amount of salt/ pepper for the grits.

If I'm in the area, I will stop in for a decent, generously proportioned meal. Breakfast or lunch. Solid choice“

“Service at the bar was outstanding and the BBQ special was by far one of the best we’ve had, and we’ve eaten a lot of BBQ in our days. I wanted “comfort food” and to me that screams chicken pot pie. The dish was basically tasteless and had a thick, over flowered, white gravy. You could hardly make out any of the chicken or veggies. Everything else was outstanding and would recommend revamping the dish or take it off the menu.“

“Food is great. Not that many vegetarian options but offers a good selection. Prices are reasonable and it's a safe and comfortable atmosphere. Make sure to ask for specials of the day. There are great combos to try. Service is fast and there is a lot of seating available which helps when it's busy.“

Our server, Holly, was incredibly polite and attentive, she offered great recommendations from the menu as well as other must-try spots in Boston. “Savin came recommended in a restaurant group so we gave it a try tonight. It was my friend and I with 5 children from 4 to 14. I arrived first with my son and was promptly greeted by Brody (who also waited on us). I explained we had 5 kiddos and inquired if a booth was available. He brought us over to a half booth which was perfect. The booth as well as chairs were very comfortable. I asked if we could have the older 2 girls (both 14) sit at the table next to us (they enjoy doing this). He was so accommodating andhappily set us up. Water was brought over for all of us and he asked if we had any questions on the menu. He said he would give us a few minutes to make our selections and went to get the beverages we ordered. 5 minutes later he came back with drinks and asked if we were ready to order. I got the chicken penne and added shrimp. My friend got the buffalo chicken quesadilla. We usually order 2 items and split them. Both were delish and we really enjoyed both entrees. The older girls got the adult portion max and cheese, which was cavatappi pasta with a ritz breadcrumb. They both said it was perfect consistency and enjoyed it. 2 kiddos got the kids size mac and cheese (cavatappi pasta with cheese) and 1 got the pasta with red sauce. Decent portions for a kids meal. The atmosphere was very nice. The music selection was also great and perfect volume. Brody was absolutely wonderful. He was attentive, but never pushy. Service was definitely a 10/10. This was the first time we have been to Savin but we will definitely be back. We felt the check was very fair for 7 people. (I snapped a few quick pics which really don’t do it justice but…).“

“I was hoping to order a la carte, but my only option was the breakfast buffet. Our waiter was less than enthusiastic. The buffet was well stocked and the lady who made my omelette was sweet and she did a nice job. Bananas Foster were yummy. I think we got there at a good time. It was quiet. I would hate to be there when it gets busy. It was ok, but I wish it had been a tad cheaper for what it was.“

“Best Mexican, Salvadorean and Guatemalan food I've had so far within a hour radius. We got the fajita tejanas and the gordita (pollo) very flavorful, meats were soft and butter like, good cuts. Tortillas are homemade. I was the only white person here which is a sign that it's authentic or close to it. Will be dreaming of this. Seems like they have dancing at some point, and they have two bars. Great portions.

“I've gone here a few times over the years. The atmosphere of Marina Bay in general is gorgeous, and this restaurant has a great view of the water (if you can get a good table that's facing the water). I had lunch here, so i had a salad with chicken and, of course, a side of French fries (crunchy and delicious). The food was good, but I've had better - it's good. There is plenty of free parking for the general public (the sunsets at Marina Bay is a good highlight to end the night). Would continue to come here.“

“I was really surprised at how good our food was at a casual hotel restaurant! The clam chowder rivals anywhere, which is a real statement in the Boston area, but it's true! Otherwise, we shared chicken wings which I thought were fine (but my guest called them out as better than Buffalo Wild Wings, for the record.) I don't know if I'd say Riverbend Grille is worth a special trip, but it's well worth consideration if you're passing through the area and certainly if you're staying at Marriott Boston Newton.“
