Came in for lunch and this place blew my expectations. My girlfriend was craving mentaiko udon and this place served an amazing Uni Mentaiko Scallop Udon, it was super creamy and the uni was fresh. The appetizer of Maguro Ceviche was really delicious and the notes of oranges paired well with tuna. Botan Ebi nigiri was super delicous also. This place is a must try!!
Drove 40 minutes here based on google reviews and pictures of ube matcha latte, and was not disappointed. Natalie, our server was friendly and helpful, food was delicious and the environment was laid back and tastefully decorated. Will be back!
This is not a 5 for food in my book. It’s ok, was not in love with any of the cooked foods. Sushi was fresh, but not a 5 for me sorry

Umizen | Japanese Restaurant is a must-try Japanese restaurant. The Uni Mentaiko Scallop Udon is super creamy and the uni is fresh, and the Maguro Ceviche is really delicious with notes of oranges that pair well with tuna. The Botan Ebi nigiri is super delicious also. The sushi is top notch and authentic, and the Yakitori is highly recommended when dining in — nearly every type of yakitori is fantastic. The spicy salmon crispy rice and the special toro roll are also worth a special shoutout. The miso soup is very good, albeit a little too salty. The environment is laid back and tastefully decorated, with great vibes, spacious and clean. The server is friendly and helpful, super nice and on top of everything. Food comes out quickly and everything is coursed out really well. Take out is always fantastic too. This is one of the best Japanese restaurants in the area, especially for a traditional Japanese experience and cuisine. Definitely worth checking out Umizen if you are in the area.
