Village Restaurant Reviews
I’ve been going to The Village since 1961 and when it was sold years ago it was still the same great food. Lately however the management, service and prices have changed completely. Possibly Covid had quite an effect on the place. Last visit we waited for hostess, then waited for soft drinks and bread. Haddock and fish and chips came pretty quickly and was hot. Nice place, food was good. Top knotch Sea food, my girlfriend got fried scallops, they were outstanding, huge plate, well over a dozen of them. 9/2/23 Just had a delicious salad and fried clam plate. My husband had a small fish stew and fried clam plate. Everything was very good. I had not been here in over 2 years.I have been coming here since I was very young. My parents go to restaurant.
The Village Restaurant is a pleasant dining destination that offers delicious food, particularly its seafood. Standout dishes include fried scallops, a large serving of over a dozen, and generous portions of boneless chicken tenders. The wedge salad is generously sized, with an abundance of bacon pieces, sliced cherry tomatoes, red onion, and blue cheese dressing. Their fish stew and fried clam plate are also highly recommended. The onion rings, served as an appetizer, are a must-try, known to "knock your socks off". The restaurant has maintained its consistently high-quality food over the years, making it a popular choice for many. The service is noted for being attentive and efficient.
