“I've been going to Gene's since I was about 11, so 1981!!!! Of course, back then, it was for candy and soda, lol!! As I got older, I realized what a hidden gem it truly is! They have great subs and pretty much anything Italian. Not just the deli but stocked on the shelves as well. I don't make sauce because theirs is so good. Makes my life easier to boot! Thank you Gene's. Everyone who works there is very nice and wicked happy to help. Every time I go in, it brings back memories of walking to the pool and stopping at Gene's on our way there. I've never been disappointed or dissatisfied with anything I've gotten here! That's a lot over 42 years. Just sayin lol!“
“Where else can you make a phone call, pull into the parking lot, and ten minutes later walk out with a consistently excellent lunch at a fair price. Service is awesome, friendly, funny, and highly competent. Selection? It would take you a year of once-a-week lunches to sample all the different choices. Ashland and nearby hamlets...give Marathon a try. Speaking of trying...the Mayflower and Pisano roll ups are exceptional.“
“These folks make some unbelievable handmade sandwiches and you will love everything on the menu. The ingredients are fresh and the service is remarkably fast. There's usually a line but it moves quickly and you can order online to skip the line if you're in a rush. Most customers take-out, and there's a small dine-in counter. Finally, there's plenty of parking.“

Their rolls are so fresh and are the perfect compliment to their chicken salad which has the added cranberries and walnuts!The service was pleasant and super fast!A great way to take a break and 100%Worth the ride!“
“The Parma is the most amazing sandwich..I tell them a little extra on the olive oil. The Italian is very good as well. And they have a nice selection of affordable good wine. And if you notice all the girls there are absolutely beautiful.“

“We visited Zaftigs for lunch meeting up with a friend that recommended it to us. We first started out with Matzoh Ball soup (O.M.G. it was amazing, better than mom's... sorry), and 2 meat filled Knishes, wow so good. Then ordered the challah french toast and fake maple syrup, a little disappointed that it wasn't the real thing but no worries, still delicious. The Reuben was phenomenal I can't tell you how delicious that tasted! Can't wait to go back!!“
“Recently stopped in for a quick lunch. Place is hidden but I fondly remember stopping here frequently years ago when my commute would take me by. Great sandwich, prepared quickly. The space looks great and is super clean. Server and manager also super friendly and welcoming. Looking forward to stopping back soon!“
