P&K has been a neighborhood fixture for over seven decades, and you can feel that old-school charm the moment you meet the owner. He’s the kind of guy who’s always friendly and never skimps on the toppings—generosity is clearly baked into the business. While the sandwiches aren’t quite the size of Al’s famous subs, they still pack great value, and honestly, they’re hefty enough that I rarely manage to finish one for breakfast. My favorites so far were the seafood salad and the classic Italian sandwich.

Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re looking for no-frills, classic Italian subs. Just keep in mind that the hot subs aren’t usually available until after 10am.“

“Stopped in today, this was my second time shopping. Got 10lbs fresh kielbasa and lots of other goodies. Very helpful and pleasant staff. I’m not Polish, but my husband and kids are, so I cook the traditional Polish food. I will definitely keep coming back, so hard to find good authentic Polish food!!“

Had a hot italian sausage sub with peppers and onions and the flavor was to die for and I will definitely go back. The bread was from the bakery next door - Piantadosi's and was fresh as can be. “A very pleasant surprise. My wife had a side salad, and I had chicken noodle soup. The soup has to be home-made. I haven't had a soup like it in over 20 years. Many Chicago loop deli's used to serve Chickem Noodle like Prime Deli's.

We both had Spaghetti with marinara. It was
a mega portion with two large pieces of garlic bread.“

“We have been getting subs from Boyles since I was a child over 5 decades. They have always been consistent and can honestly say that they have the best Italian subs I’ve eaten. I hadn’t eaten there since we moved away and miss the taste of their subs. The large deluxe Italian has all the Italian meats you would want. It was huge. Deli sized Pepperoni, hot cappacola, mortadella, salami. They cut their meat thick too and use cubed veggies which I feel is a must on an Italian sub. Kudos for Boyles for their consistency through the years and always making subs my family loves.“
