It was crowded for us on a Sunday morning and the food took a pretty long time but its pleasant to chillax at one of their picnic tables to wait. You can also buy maple syrup, maple frosted donuts, maple fudge. I also had a talk with the guys in the back running the maple syrup boiling machines to learn how the process works. Probably good for kids to learn about. Worth the stop if you are in the area. Great for families and a real authentic "New England" experience.“
“My best friend and I stumbled upon this very upscale but casual restaurant overlooking shellburne falls! I wish I could bring this place and all the staff back to New Haven, CT because it would be THE SPOT to go. We’re loved the atmosphere, the food, the service, everything. I couldn’t even scrounge up something negative to say. We sat at the beautiful bar and had the absolute pleasure of meeting the bartender, Casey. SHE IS PERFECTION! Don’t ever let her go and if you do….. send her to New Haven CT. We left with full bellies, full hearts, and definitely a stack of desserts to go!!!! Let’s get into the food:We started off with the crispy polenta, which tasted like a crispy, crunchy garlicky polenta egg soufflé… It was absolutely FAHKING heaven. We also shared a really fresh beet salad with walnuts and goat cheese, and a tangy citrus dressing. It was kind of standard, but it was also absolutely perfect and delicious roughage.Then for dinner, my friend Eliza had the rack of lamb that was cooked, perfectly medium rare, and it was laying on top of the creamiest, mashed potatoes and other sautéed veggies. I had the swordfish, which I have never had before, in my entire life, and it was pretty mind blowing, the fish slathered in this creamy basil lemon sauce and served over basmati rice. SO GOOD!!!! We didn’t have the opportunity to take photos of the food because we were too busy shoving it down our faces!If you’re ever in the area, this place is a must go to! They are local. “Our server Shayla was amazing. She was knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations. We ordered the oysters Rockefeller appetizer. They were done just right. I had the hangar steak which you could cut with a butter knife. My partner had the seafood risotto which she loved. We shared the sticky toffee pudding and let's say it was the best I ever had. Definitely will be coming back and recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal with great service. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice and we loved the music in the background.“
“A true farm to table dining experience in the Pioneer Valley! My wife and I have been going the Blue Heron for years and always have a great time. The service and food is consistently excellent with ingredients from local farmers. Blue Heron offers an upscale dining experience and is very close to Mount Sugarloaf, Tree House Brewing Company, Yankee Candle and more! I highly recommend the Ricotta & Honey small plate and Curried Vegetable Tian although there isn't anything on their menu I wouldn't try. The Chocolate Truffle Torte with espresso ice cream is a great way to finish a perfect meal!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options never tasted so good. I am not sure if it is available all the time but the Curried Vegetable Tian is fantastic!Dietary restrictions: While they offer a wide range of choices, many are gluten-free and vegetarian or vegan-friendly.“
“I love this place and their food. The service can be slow sometimes but that is because they have so many regulars that come in and the staff likes to see how their day is going. For the most part, since I moved to Greenfield, Ma. From East Texas, I get good service but sometimes I feel like I've been forgotten. I hope to give them some East Texas favorites that I think even people from this area would enjoy like Frito Pie for one. The prices are good and you get a good amount of food for the price. I just wish they were open longer than 3 PM. It would be so AWESOME to have dinner here and then go next door to Greenfield Gardens Movie Theater. Give it a try when you're in Greenfield.
