“Stopped here for lunch on the way back to Amsterdam NY, from Boston. We sat at the bar as we usually do everywhere. The service was excellent, the food came out fast and it was delicious. Will go back for sure.“

“Half Rats is just what this town needs. A low key, stylish non pretentious place to spend an evening and socialize; or just sit alone by yourself and read a book on the 1970 something couch. A couch made of wool and steel. It reminds me of the couch my grandparents had when I was growing up. That couch; a brown wool couch, was where my grandmother would take her last breath as she spoke on the phone with my brother. She was 90.“

“So fun! It was an old speakeasy and it has a comfortable old timey vibe as soon as you walk in. The food was good and the service was fast and informative. We left before the live music at 7pm but I could see how that would be a fun experience and this atmosphere. The cocktails and mocktails were delicious! Worth the visit!!“

“On our way home from drone daughter off at camp we stopped in. I got the brisket and rib combo. My wife got the burger. We got a pretzel and Mediterranean snack. It was all delicious. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. I will go again.“

“It's a nice place, but just be warned that it's a Beer & Whiskey bar. They have very limited mixers, so very limited cocktail options. If you're a Beer and/or Whiskey fan, you'll enjoy it. They had one option each for Red & White wine in case there's a wine drinker in your group.“
