“Perfect. This is the kind of place I can come back to! Local, historical, ethical and flavorful! We were lucky enough to get seats at the counter where you can see all the action. Food, service and atmosphere are all top notch. As an added bonus for all of you day drinkers out there, this diner has a liquor license. This place is historical and also nowhere near the Patriot Trail so if you're there you did it on purpose. I think my favorite thing was the hustle and bustle of regular folks coming in and out of the diner, including two cops who were picking up a lunch order!“

“My wife and I were in Wakefield to purchase car and when we were finished we realized we had not eaten all day. We found this gem of a diner. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding. I started with the beef stew. it was excellent. It was not to salty, you could tell it was homemade the flavor brought me back to childhood. My wife started with the chicken and rice soup which she said was also fantastic, once again not to salty. I had the hot turkey sandwich with gravy. The gravy was outstanding. My wife had the teriyaki chicken stir-fry which was delicious. We needed the meal by brining home 6 raisin oatmeal cookies. I would highly recommend North Ave. Diner if you are in the area.“

“What an exceptional gem in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city! The waitor was extremely kind, patient, and accommodating to our family. We traveled in from out of state for medical appointments and were welcomed with open arms. My sons have autism and ADHD, one is non-verbal. No judgement, no looks, no differential treatment, and absolutely no doubt we are valued customers. What a fantastic feeling knowing you can come to the city and there is a place that is not only kind but accommodating to individuals who are different. As a life long expert on eggplant- everything eggplant-pizza, sandwiches, full dinners, even as far as eggplant pancakes ( just kidding on this one) you folks get a ten out out 5 stars every time! “Food is decently priced compared to the area. The Carne Asada plate is not their forte but they do have great burgers and omelets. No truck parking. You can park on the side of the road but it's not that convenient. They do have delivery however and they're fast and friendly. If you're delivering to the Boston Market or the New England Market then hit this place up for a nice freshly cooked meal.“

“The Liberty is a neighborhood gem, interior has the bones of a classic diner street car, all narrow lines and lived in charm, with none of the gimmicks some places lean on to fake that feel.

The crowd is what makes it. A comfortable mix of working folks and locals who clearly know the staff by name, and the staff know them right back. Service is warm without being performative, the full bar is a nice surprise for a no frills spot, and the food is exactly what you want when you walk through the door: home cooked meal with generous portions.

One of our favorite local stops for an unfussy, satisfying meal. If you want a place that feels like a neighborhood rather than a concept, this is it.“

“i ordered banana stuffed pancakes as per the menu and well it wasn’t what i imagined and they were kinda tough for a pancake. but tasty paired with the warm syrup. it was a nice touch. my other dish was maple peppered chicken benedict i thought it tasted like thanksgiving. there was and overpower of pepper vs the no maple flavor it provided lol. the home fries were very salty and cold but small so their cute. our server was great, friendly and attentive, although some of the employees seem overworked. great place for a late night eat!!

p.s. the door is pushed closed by the wind pressure It creates so pull hard when opening!!“

“If you want a hometown diner feel, this is the place to go! Went for breakfast here this morning and it was great! The service, food and staff were awesome. I just had surgery on my hand and I mentioned to my cousin how an omelette would be easier to eat then picking up a sandwich. The waitress quickly chimed in and told me the cook will cut it into fours for me! I would recommend this place to anyone! 😊“
