“No one should say anything bad about Dōngběi. It is one of the most genuine and lovely places in China, with the warmest and most sincere people, and you can truly feel it through their dishes. Please come and try Dongbei cuisine here, you won’t regret it!“

“Food: I thought the broth rivaled a lot of other popular options in Chinatown/Allston. The spicy options were my favorite and complemented many of the options well. I thought the sauce bar was decent but not as extensive as some other places.
Service: mostly self-serve off an iPad - they won't check up too often.
Atmosphere: I appreciate the lanterns and the booths in the back. Will come out and sing for birthdays too which seems to be popular.
Overall: quality across the menu is great, and the soup bases are possibly my favorite in Boston. Can be a bit more expensive than other AYCE options, but generally worth it for the quality.“

“Had a great time trying out Lamei’s hotpot. We went on a rainy, misty Sunday and tried their all you can eat menu. This is the beat option if you want to try alot of things. We picked two flavors broth. If you want something mild and not spicy, try the mushroom broth. If you don’t like hot spicy, avoid the spicy tallow broth.🥵🥵 you may die as a result of heat. We eat alot of hot spicy but the medium heat level was too much for us.
For meat, we tried everything from chicken, pork, lamb, beef, shrimp, gizzard,
For vegetables, we tried bok choy, a choy, watercress, corn, tofu.“

“Spontaneously chose place after my graduation. First time being here. Party of 10 and we all enjoy ourselves, and the food. Our servers were friendly and organized. Definitely a place reserved for celebrations, our bill was over $600.
Side note: if they had a buffet style, One Price all you can eat, it would be realistic to come here more often. I like a balance between quality and practicality. The quality was good, but not practical on a consistent basis due to the high (accumulative) prices. Everything is priced individualy and separately, including the broth. This can add up quickly. Hope this helps!“

“Happy Lamb in Cambridge is my preferred location in Massachusetts.
I've been going to this location for quite some time now, and it never disappoints.
I always look forward to going because of the consistency of the flavor, atmosphere, and the great customer service that is provided amongst the entire staff.
I would like to single out three ladies that always go above and beyond to make sure that everything is up to the best standards. These ladies are Stephanie, Julissa, and Adrianna. They always have a smile on their face, are extremely kind and attentive. They make the experience always enjoyable for myself and my friends/family. It's always a wonderful restaurant experience and with them it feels like I'm visiting family for dinner with their warm welcoming back.
I really appreciate that level of service that Stephanie, Julissa, and Adrianna always provide. I always look forward to seeing them, and they are a great asset to Happy Lamb in Cambridge.
Thank you for all of your hard work.
I can't wait to go back and see you all.“

“Wonderful place to get a hot pot whether you're a seasoned pro or a newbie. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is great... But what really stood out was the service: I've never in 45 years been to a place where the host comes around and warns you about the parking ban on the street, but I have now. That's truly going the extra mile for your customers!“

“Was in town visiting Salem and noticed this place on our way. Headed here for a late dinner on our way back to our hotel. We’re immediately impressed with the design of the space. The owners son Joe greeted us and was incredibly helpful because we mentioned we’ve never had hot pot before. Past the great service and friendly atmosphere the food was absolutely incredible and we easily agreed it was in our top 10 best flavored meals. Would recommend to anyone in the area.“

“Blue Sakura Shabu All You Can Eat is a lively hot pot spot in Allston offering an AYCE experience with a wide selection of meats, seafood, vegetables, and sides. It’s a popular choice for group dinners, especially with friends or classmates looking for a filling meal.
The space is modern and energetic, with individual burners built into each table for a more personal hot pot experience. It can get busy during dinner hours and weekends, but the atmosphere adds to the fun, social feel of the meal. Service is generally attentive, with staff bringing out orders steadily and checking in to swap out broths or refill items when needed.
The menu offers a good variety of thinly sliced beef, pork, chicken, seafood, and classic hot pot additions like fish balls, tofu, mushrooms, and leafy greens. The meat quality is solid for AYCE, and portions come out quickly enough to keep the meal moving. Broth options range from lighter house broths to spicier selections, allowing you to customize the experience. While it may not be the most premium hot pot in the area, the value is strong for the price point and the unlimited format makes it easy to try a bit of everything.
Overall, Blue Sakura is a reliable AYCE hot pot destination in Allston, great for casual group outings, celebrations, or when you’re just really craving a big, comforting meal.“
“Generous portions for cheap! They give a lot of rice which fills you up, but a decent portion of main dish (I got pork and tofu). The main dishes are a bit oily, but they taste very good. The pork had a decent amount of lean meat as well as fatty, which is good. I wish the tofu had a little more taste, but it was still good. Food came very quickly. The soup it came with was too salty though, tasted like salt water. Everything here was around $12 which is a good deal! Recommend for a quick but filling meal.“

“Decided to walk through Allston on a grody, misty afternoon and look for some food. Walked in by chance and at my SO’s insistence that we give it a look. I loved everything about the aesthetic, and enjoyed the soft music playing in the background. Being able to choose the ingredients I wanted - knowing they were organic and that they looked more than delicious raw...that was the absolute best part. The gentleman at the front was supremely helpful and answered any question thrown at him - by anyone in the shop. The price was more than worth the amount of food received, and the care extended to us as guests was wonderful. I absolutely would recommend anyone to give this a try. Don’t hesitate to ask a question, you will definitely get an answer. :)“

“Spacious and clean restaurant in very convenient location! They only have AYCE options, but they’re fairly affordable, and I appreciate that the most basic/classic option includes seafood like shrimp. Many fountain drinks also included! I personally didn’t have any of these, but I think others would appreciate the egg rolls/fried rice/desserts. We went on a weeknight, and spent about $75 for 2 people after tip.“

“On our visit it was more 'All you can't eat' The staff could not replenish displayed items fast enough. An ordered pancake came undercooked. Other items were fine. The banquettes can seat three on a side, but it's a real pain to move around when people need to get many of the foodstuffs during a meal.“

“Restaurant is has cozy and chill vibe. Staff is very friendly. The Biang Biang noodles are the star of the show! Super flavorful and great dough texture, taste very homemade. Meat pie is good too, almost as good as in China. The garlic crawfish bursts with flavor, they make it fresh from live crawfish so take a little more time. The pork belly with preserved veggie is way too sweet but meat is super tender so I took it home and ran it through hot water bath twice to get it to be less sweet😅“

“We got the split broth and the meat/ vegetables were amazing but the best part was definitely the mango smoothie and pork gyoza. The mango smoothie was the best mango smoothie I’ve ever had and the gyoza was very delicious. I can’t wait to go back, definitely a great place for friends/ family to go“

“My 100% go-to for hot pot. Sauce bar, all-you-can-eat, huge menu, and great service. What else can I say? You’ll be eating within five minutes of sitting down. Also, don’t forget the to-go ice cream if you eat in! Ibasaw checks all the boxes when it comes to hot pot.“
