“It was about to snow and I decided to warm myself up with a Chi latte tea. Unfortunately the person taking my order was no familiar with that, thank goodness there was a colleague in the back who was able to explain what I wanted. Then I had to explain, I get mine with 2 pumps not 4 which is the expected amount for a large. I had to ask the lady in the back could the lady upfront understand and make my order, she replied, yes. I must say that the lady up front who didn't understand my order the first time around made me an exceptional latte, just how I wanted it.“

“Glazed Bytes Coffee is selling itself short by being tucked inside a tiny, painfully forgettable mall in Brookline. The coffee itself? Not forgettable at all.

We ordered two Cloud Foam Lattes (I think that was the name), and that foam was ridiculous in the best way possible. It sits somewhere between an absurdly fluffy marshmallow and canned whipped cream, except smoother, creamier, and somehow lighter at the same time. I genuinely have no idea how they made foam feel “luxurious”, but there we are.

The coffee underneath actually held its own too. Strong flavour, unique profile, not just another Instagram café trying to survive off aesthetics and oat milk. Properly good coffee.

Honestly, the mall needs them more than they need the mall. Places like this drive foot traffic way harder than another random clothing shop nobody remembers walking into. More food spots. More cafés. More reasons for people to actually stay there.

“The type of breakfast sandwich that really gets me out of bed on a weekend. Would love for them to open a location in back bay (please) but I'm willing to traverse multiple blocks for this. It can get super busy but I ordered online ahead of time. No seating but could easily sit on a stoop or the curb or a bench nearby because it's in a cute neighborhood too. The Fancy sandwich is a top 2 contender for my favorite breakfast sandwiches in Boston“

The owner, in particular, was exceptionally helpful—he gave me all the pens in the shop for free, helping me solve a major work problem! He said he didn't need any thanks from me! “I absolutely LOVE this place. We have so many brunch options in the area, but THIS is the right choice remember I said it. The mini donuts are a dream. I literally dreamt about them 🤣 Brussel sprouts are mouth watering & the apple cinnamon pancakes are out of this world! The breakfast sandwich is on a cheddar biscuit… nuff said! The service was so outstanding I didn’t have to ask for anything! They made me feel like I was family 💜 I will be back for dinner, which is just as great as brunch but for brunch look no further! “We ordered a vegan half sheet almond cake from Luna’s—it was TERRIFIC. It joined several other cakes at a family gathering, and everyone loved it.

I found it easy to communicate with the bakery manager, and that she had some terrific ideas for flavors. I would absolutely order from them again. Pickup was super easy, too!“

Because my son has celiac disease, options for baked goods is limited, especially when your plane lands at 6:30pm on the big day and gluten free options aren’t known to last long once baked. Unfortunately, living in Southern New Hampshire, delivery via UberEats or GrubHub wasn’t an option But, being a father himself, Ruben kindly offered to deliver them personally after work. This man went above and beyond, first driving home to pick up his kids. You see, his wife needed to get to her job so he brought his kids along for the adventure. In addition, he refused all forms of tipping despite my repeated insistence. He explained that he hopes someone would do the same for his kids if he was in my position and, as the manager, he felt compelled to make it happen. Ruben, you’re an angel, one in a million, an amazing human! I hope you receive back the blessing you bestowed on me and my son 10-fold! Thank you isn’t enough. It was known for its excellent coffee and pastries. Miss it and this is the only place I've visited that is just as good. I highly recommend people to check it out. Also, very friendly staff. “This has amazing hot chocolate. Worth trekking too on an 80 degree humid day. The hot chocolate is creamy, smooth, rich, and sweet. The gentlemen who made mine was very kind and friendly, possibly the owner? A few more people behind me ended up asking for hot chocolate as well. “Here from Chicago on a rainy Sunday morning. Looking for a breakfast place near our hotel. Saw this online and was 5 minute walk so we headed over. Surprisingly great coffee is always a good start. The food was delicious! Pancakes were thick, light and fluffy. Good sausage and eggs. Service was very attentive- seemed to be a family run place. Highly recommend!“
