“I love Takara in Medfield. The staff is wonderful. I eat here almost every week. Even during COVID, my family did take out weekly. This is my go-to restaurant. My wife takes me there as a reward!! The food is wonderful and well prepared. I think that I have tried almost everything on the menu over the years. My favorite meal is the spicy tuna avocado salad! The rest of my family enjoys the sushi, sashimi, and various maki rolls which I always help them finish. Korean inspired food is a nice twist on typical sushi. Great place with great service. Great bar and wines too!“

“After noticing Sushinoya open for a year or so I finally decided to try it. I was craving sushi and ordered take out. We ordered California rolls, spicy tuna, eel, salmon, and shrimp tempura for take out. The order was ready in under 30 minutes. After eating some of the sushi I instantly knew it was special. Sushinoya made some of the best sushi I've ever had. It was fresh, delicious and perfectly balanced. I am looking forward to going back and trying their other offerings. Their prices are also very reasonable.“

The Ramen bowl was good, flavor was more complex than expected from Ramen. Poke bowl was great with nice with a good balance of various flavors. Service was timely and polite! Service is personable and excellent even when they are busy. [As an observation more than criticism, Asian restaurants in general have had to struggle obtaining and affording top quality rice of all sorts, from Japanese-grown short grain to premium Indian basmati. Unfortunately, it seems Yama is no exception — the rice is good and acceptable, but not exceptional.] Lunch bento boxes and sashimi/sushi specials are excellent and good value.“

“My fiancee got the pork katsu rice bowl and it was the most tender and flavorful she's ever had outside of Japan. I got the sushi for 2 and the quality of the fish matched the presentation! Some of the best tuna and salmon I've ever had!

“Now that Oga's is closed, Nori Sushi is our favorite sushi in the area. The presentation is beautiful and everything is fresh and tastes amazing. “Sushi Man is a restaurant with a long history in the Newton area, first being located in a smaller area right off of Route 9 before moving to their current location a few years ago.

The staff are really friendly and make the food quite quickly, reminds me of the service we used to get in the past.

The food was of good quality and how I remember it. It does tend to be on the expensive side for these meals, but was still pretty good and tasted well. The sushi was fresh, with good rice to fish ratio and presented well. The udon had a good broth that went well with the noodles, and had some toppings and sides that were crisp and tasty.“

“Incredibly friendly and attentive service. The doors (there are two) are super heavy, and I couldn’t open it. Someone jumped right away to help.

I got the Japanese udon noodles and the miso soup. The soup was fishier than I remember miso being but it’s been a long time since I have had. It was hearty and hot and enjoyable.

The udon noodles were well-seasoned. The veggies were delicious. The chicken was a little fattier than I am used to but it was all yummy and the food came promptly after ordering.

My water was refilled as I drank and the check came just as I was finishing my meal, so very attentive but respectful service.

Would recommend.

Food was amazing they knew exactly what I could and couldn't have and said mine would be cooked in the kitchen not on the hibachi grill with everyone else's. The food comes out efficiently, with little wait time for their best sellers as they have multiple staff operating and cooking the food.

The food is quite basic, but for the price it serves well to eat and enjoy. The Chicken Teriyaki sauce is quite good, and you can request extra sauce to be put on the rice or vegetables. They also serve sushi here, but the sushi was just pretty average.“
