“Came in on a weekday for lunch. Ordered Lunch Course ($27/person) with Set C meat and garlic spanish + fried dumplings and ice cream, together with 3 2--BBQ-items lunch combo ($14.95/each). There are parking garage nearby with plenty of space. The restaurant is big and have all the same chain quality of this restraint chains. The grill was not oiled and the first set of meats kept sticked to the metal grill, which is very unpleasant experience. However, one thing that is more disappointed is that they don't have green tea ice cream, one of the main reasons I ordered lunch course. This is not quite acceptable for a Japanese restaurant. They can only offered vanilla ice cream; however, the top was freezer burned. That put a bitter end to this visit, unfortunately.“

“First-class dining right in Chestnut Hill. I’m so glad I discovered this place.

I visited during a tasting event, which offered a great opportunity to sample several dishes from across the menu. The fish was beautifully prepared and expertly seasoned throughout. The standout was the black cod, perfectly balancing savory richness with just the right touch of sweetness.

The shiromi ususukuri — Japanese white fish sashimi — was delicate and refreshing, with candied quinoa adding an unexpected and satisfying crunch. On the meat side, the pork belly bao bun was superb: melt-in-your-mouth pork tucked inside a pillowy, perfectly steamed bun.

Every dish felt thoughtful and polished without being fussy. Hands down one of the best meals I’ve had in the area. I can’t wait to come back.“

“We tried a variety of items. The miso soup and the mushroom and onion soup were both delicious. I ordered the Philadelphia and the OMG roll. The Philadelphia comes with smoked salmon which is hard to find. Both rolls were hands down the best sushi I have had in the Greater Boston area! We also ordered the Sakura fried rice and beef with onions and peppers. They were pretty much the same you can get anywhere else. The sushi is the stand out here! The service was great. The food came out quickly and the server was very friendly. I will be more than glad to drive out of my way to come here again!“

“I love Takara in Medfield. The staff is wonderful. I eat here almost every week. Even during COVID, my family did take out weekly. This is my go-to restaurant. My wife takes me there as a reward!! The food is wonderful and well prepared. I think that I have tried almost everything on the menu over the years. My favorite meal is the spicy tuna avocado salad! The rest of my family enjoys the sushi, sashimi, and various maki rolls which I always help them finish. Korean inspired food is a nice twist on typical sushi. Great place with great service. Over the past month, I’ve tried the chicken teriyaki bowl and multiple sushi rolls. Everything is so delicious, so reasonably priced, and always ready to go within just a few minutes of ordering. The portion sizes are large and reasonable for what they cost, and the service is very quick and friendly. This has definitely become one of my staple lunch spots in the area!“

“Sushi Today, is by far my favorite place to order form during quarantine. I ordered from them before quarantine whenever I would babysit for my neighbors. Even though a lot of places are busy and haven't gotten my orders wrong, sushi today has not disappointed me yet. Sushi Today is the only place I will ever order sushi from. They make eel avocado rolls, which are surprisingly rare and hard to find when looking for take-out. Overall the accuracy, taste, and packaging of my orders from Sushi Today have been awesome.“

“Decent Japanese Korean cuisine. Atmosphere gives off Asian asthestics with a water fountain at the entrance. Pricing is more on middle-high-end, so a group can easily rack up a bill of 150 to 200 dollars depending on what you select. There are reasonable amount of alcoholic choices. Dessert wise is limited. Food quality is passable, as the thin slices of meat are on the dry side, so if you have a hard time with dry over cook food, you may need sauce or condiments to compensate. One my group members commented the food taste sweet, so to be fair, Asian foods that use teriyaki sauce in their ingredients will taste sweeter than the usual Japanese and Chinese cuisine. I would like to try sushi but it usually expensive here compared to a strictly sushi restaurant. Overall this one the better quality restaurants I've been to around the Greater Boston Area.“

We ordered the Vegetable Fried Rice, Sesame Chicken, Spring Rolls and Cashew Chicken. The Fried Rice and Cashew Chicken were the best dishes. It's a very large restaurant and they have plenty of seating. Can be a bit pricey, but worth it!“

“What happened? Are there new owners? This used to be the best Chinese Restaurant on par with China Temple in Brookline. The people at the front desk are very rude & not at all welcoming, & the take out food was terrible ( no inside dining during CIVID). I don’t mind paying their new higher prices, but do not cut back on the food quality. You have lost a long time customer.“
