“If you’re looking for an amazing pre- or post-workout treat — or just something delicious to satisfy your sweet tooth without feeling guilty — this place is it. The service is always wonderful, and the Cowabunga Smoothie is one of my personal favorites. Everything they serve is made with natural, organic ingredients, so you don’t have to worry about a bunch of ultra-processed stuff going into your body. It’s refreshing to find a spot that focuses on quality while still making drinks that taste this good. It’s always a great choice when you need a quick energy boost to keep your day going. “We got takeout from this restaurant. Managed to pick it up right on time, just like the app said. Food was alright overall, the dumplings were the standout for me. Knocking off one star since the food was slightly oily for my taste, but other than that it was pretty good.“

“Hi Mal & Team! Visited Mal's for the first time this past Saturday after driving by so very many times! I am a breakfast fan so was very pleased with the Steak Bomb Omelet and the homemade Hash!! Took home enough for breakfast on Sunday. I was not only impressed with the QUALITY of your food...but the service and the atmosphere. I knew that when I stopped by and saw the wait that it would be good. Actually you moved your guests in and we did not even wait 15 minutes. Appreciated the cleanliness and the atmosphere....the decor that was not only funny but encouraging. Know that you invest in the best equipment like freezers and ice makers. Well Done!!“

“Absolutely love this place and it’s staff! The ice cream is delicious and there is a huge selection of flavors. The ice cream sandwiches are to die for. They are made with homemade cookies, so delicious. Maggie is crushing it! The owner Matthew is so kind and friendly and openly invites suggestions! **Allergy friends, they keep all nuts separate from everything else in the back. We were very pleased. We’ve already made two trips this week!!“

“Food: I thought the broth rivaled a lot of other popular options in Chinatown/Allston. The spicy options were my favorite and complemented many of the options well. I thought the sauce bar was decent but not as extensive as some other places.

Service: mostly self-serve off an iPad - they won't check up too often.

Atmosphere: I appreciate the lanterns and the booths in the back. Will come out and sing for birthdays too which seems to be popular.

Overall: quality across the menu is great, and the soup bases are possibly my favorite in Boston. Can be a bit more expensive than other AYCE options, but generally worth it for the quality.“

“The quality and presentation of the food was top notch. We were incredibly impressed by the dining room layout and staff. If you are looking for a place to propose to your significant other… this is NOT the appropriate place. As I mentioned the food was the finest I’ve ever had; however, the music was terrible. We felt like we were in a 1990’s discotheque. The music was loud, very heavy beat and not remotely romantic. We did mention to our waitstaff and they attempted to get it turned down to no avail. No coffee or dessert available either. I understand space is limited; however you have two of the finest dessert businesses well within walking distance. Even if you only carry two desserts. I would still go back there for the food with the hopes of different music…even soft jazz would be acceptable.“

“In the heart of the South End, Toro is serving up Spanish-style Tapas in a great atmosphere with high quality service.

We made a reservation outdoors, but because of rain they were kind enough to accommodate and moved us to an indoor table. Our waiter, Michael, was so helpful in explaining the menu and giving recommendations, as this was our first time eating Tapas.

For the uninitiated, like we were, Tapas is small, shareable plates. They have a wide variety to choose from! We ended up getting Street Corn, Grilled Shrimp, Fried Potatoes served up “Bomb Style” with Pork Belly, sauces and fried egg, Cod Croquettes, and Steak. We were pleased by every choice!

Our total with 6 orders, tax and tip was $150.“

Its s great place to try with 2-3 people, the minimum purchase is 3.
Its not a great place to order a bagel in your way to work or for a quick bite.“
