Greatest services by Bryanna. My wife and I owned 4 restaurants and eating out a few times a week. Bryanna is the best server we have met. She made our experience so wonderful!!! If you come to the restaurant, do ask for Bryanna. She will make your experience a wonderful memorable one! Thank you so much Bryanna for making our experience so memorable. You are the BEST!!! Keep up the good work!!!
First ever disappointing meal last night 6/1. Chowder not warm. Seafood Platter… Too few clams were overcooked, scallops were undercooked, fish and shrimp okay. Dessert strawberry shortcake biscuit flavor was inconsistent and not as tasty from the first time we had it this year. Biscuit overcooked. Won’t recommend or return for a while. Service excellent.

The Black Whale offers an exceptional dining experience, especially for special occasions. The soy miso sake marinated Chilean Sea Bass is a standout dish. The newly renovated deck adds to the lovely atmosphere, although the noise level can be a bit high. The food is consistently delicious, with the pan seared scallops and boom boom shrimp as customer favorites. The setting near commercial fishing boats adds to the overall charm of this favorite New England restaurant. Customers praise the outstanding service, with Molly and Conner receiving high marks for their attentiveness and expertise. While the atmosphere can be lively and crowded, making conversation a bit challenging, the exceptional food and service make The Black Whale worth the visit for an exceptional dining experience.
