“We recently stayed in Newton for a mini vacation from Canada (visiting Boston). Every night of our stay we ate at this restaurant. I know, not overly adventurous but when the food is this good and the atmosphere is right, why bother looking? You won’t find better! We tried: - Pan seared chicken: AMAZING. - Fish and chips: when you live on the east coast it’s hard to get good fish and chips but these hit the mark! - Filet Mignon: Full of flavour and tender. - Steak Tips: Again, tender and full of flavour. - Risotto: Wonderfully strong mushroom flavour but yet offset with a field of flavours. - Scallops: Seared to perfection. - Short-rib Meatballs: Meat and cheese combo to die for. - Calamari: Another difficult one to get right and find fresh! This was one of my favourite with the dip and hot peppers. - Sirloin: Cooked to perfection, flavour was a hit and a good portion size, well worth the money. THE HOUSE SALAD: All I can say, EMAIL ME THE RECIPE FOR THE DRESSING!! This was the best item for me on the menu. Fresh, simple and full of flavour. I got it with every meal. So to recap: 10/10“

“Simulators are legit and it feels like you are outside playing on the actually course you've selected. It's a nice vibe and a great bar to watch games or golf on and the pizza is amazing. (get the sweet heat, it wont disappoint) They also offer leagues and spots for parties/events. If you're looking for a spot to work on your game this winter, grab a beer and watch some sports I highly recommend Birdie Bar!“

“This weekend we stumbled upon Lamplighter Brewing Company in Cambridge. It has a welcoming and hipster vibe. Really enjoyed seeing the pride flag at the bar— felt like a safe space for all.
The Cambridge location is busy around the time we went, which was around noon on a Saturday. There is lots of seating in the front but also in the back which is a little more quiet.
The setup is a little confusing for ordering though. There's one big line for food and coffee, but you don’t need to wait in that line to order beers. I wish we knew that because we didn’t see any signage to indicate where to order what. We also saw a lot of people sitting at the bar eating and drinking coffee, so it took a little bit to find a spot at the bar just to have a drink. I think the bar should be reserved for those looking to have a beer.
A positive though is that the beer tasty— light and refreshing. I thought some of the flavors were really creative. For example, I tried the Chrysalis which I believe had notes of jasmine and honey.
Overall would definitely come here again and try their food and coffee next time!“

“I have lived in the Boston-esque area for twelve years and have eaten so many good meals, but the fish tacos here are the only meal I needed to have before my upcoming move out west(ern MA). Cocktails are fun and creative, service is 13/10, the XL portions of fries that require to-go boxes are the only fries I’ve ever found to reheat well, and if you’re lucky, Steve will be tending bar. I love going at the slightly quieter times but I’ll never gatekeep the euphoria experienced by a meal here. Bonus perks: Max & Chelsea have the best senses of humor, the murals on the patio are always amazing, the beer and wine selection are vast (also the mocktails!), and the decor always feels like your favorite “I Spy” book.“

“My friends and I went to try out their trivia and it was an ok experience for that. It’s definitely more of a sports bar that just happens to do trivia weekly. It felt like trivia wasn’t the focus of the hour even though most groups were playing. The host was solid and questions had good variety but the pace was rather slow. For food we ordered some dishes to share and a couple of personal plates and I can say across the board it was really pushing the line of being a bad value. The taste was solid but the small portions were a real disappointment. For example the tacos were so small you could easily finish each of the 3 your given in 2 bites or even 1 with little problem. The atmosphere was energetic and staff were kinda but at the end of the day it’s not for us.“

“Went here for my first time for my birthday with my kids and husband. I can’t believe how small they are compared to how it looks online. Regardless, we had a good time, good drinks and good food. We ordered a good amount of food and we waited less than 20 minutes for it. Everything came out so fast. I was impressed! The first drink we ordered we didn’t like (Morning in Miami) and the manager was nice enough to switch them out for us without giving us a hard time. Steve and Niko were our servers, and they did a great job. Very attentive, and always making sure we were okay. For the size portions, I feel like they are a little pricey, but the food was good, so I will be coming back. I wish they had better music to vibe to.
Kid-friendliness: They had pizza, french fries, and chicken tenders. Perfect for kids.“

“Food was great, server was good, p price reasonable. The only they had overhead fans running and it was cold inside the restaurant. However all of the service and staff were wearing short sleeves. So it must have been hot near the kitchen. I would definitely go back.“

“This is the best restaurant on Moody! My wife and I came on a whim when they opened a few years ago. We have been coming almost monthly ever since. The food is fantastic. The variety is incredible. Service and atmosphere wonderful and inviting. And the drink menu is extensive, both in delicious cocktails and a sake list we are still working through to this date. Any time we have friends in town, we bring them to Shiki Shabu Shabu as a treat to ourselves and them. Casual dinner at the bar is fun and groups at tables is an experience. This is what Moody has been missing!“

“La mejor! After trying several Mexican restaurants on Moody St, I can confidently say THIS IS THE BEST. The tacos are SO flavorful, juicy and delicious! ? and the horchata is perfecto. And though I'm a white girl, I grew up eating authentic Mexican food in Chicago, so I know what's good ????“

“First visit here since the restaurant change. Inside is cozy with live music which was a welcome surprise. Definitely check out their drink specials which were also great. Bartenders were top notch. However, I ordered the steak tips medium rare and they came out almost medium well. It also came with rice pilaf which was wicked dry and had no flavor.“
“Great open space with a patio area and a rooftop area. The craft brews are great and the charcuterie options were spot on.“

“Was staying in Medford, working in Boston for 18 days. The food was so good I ate there 16 of the 18 days I was there.(tried some Italian restaurants while I was there the other 2 nights). Everything I ate was great! The chili was the best I’ve ever ate, the wings were awesome, the loaded nachos, the steak tips, the meatloaf, sweet potato fries, the brussel sprouts, the collard greens, were all great and some of the best southern food I’ve ever ate and I’m from South Alabama! And the drinks were great also. It was my home away from home for 2 1/2 weeks. The atmosphere was very welcoming, Scott, Erin and Sylvia took great care of me. We don’t have places like this down here. 12 out of 10 rating for me! Hope I get to come back and visit. Thanks for making a fella from Tanner Williams, Alabama feel welcome.“
“First, this is not a fancy restaurant. It's very low key, cozy. More like a small neighborhood bar restaurant. I counted about 60 seats in a small space. Alot of take out. The food was excellent. We started with the grilled veggie antipastoGood portion, perfectly toasted bread. Then a house salad that was shareable for two. We had chicken pesto, caramelized pizza and it was delicious either of us are huge pizza eaters so this was a treat. The caramelized onions were perfect..It was absolutely a great thin crust pizza. Our server was friendly and made sure the chef took care with my food allergy. The entire meal was delicious.. We wanted something low key but really good food.. Ducali's did not disappoint. Oh, and the prices are very reasonable .wonderful find on our weekend in Boston.“

“Solid choice for an upscale bar experience with decent food and drinks.
When The Fed opened a few years back, it stirred up plenty of hype after being named one of the best cocktail bars in the nation. I missed it during its initial hype, but recently had the chance to drop by for drinks and dinner. While it didn’t quite have the grandeur of Grana, it offered a similar touch of luxury with cozy couches circling the central square bar—plush, stylish, and perfect for unwinding in style.
As expected, the menu here felt a bit overpriced, though pretty typical for a 5-star hotel restaurant. However, the food quality didn’t quite live up to its reputation. They stuck to classic dishes without any interesting twists in ingredients or sauces—perhaps a bit too simple for items like the Fed Burger, Lobster Roll, and Crab Cakes. Honestly, they weren’t much different from what you’d find at upscale taverns around the city but came with a higher price tag.
The fries, lightly dusted with Old Bay seasoning, were a nice touch and probably my favorite part of the entrées. The burger was decent, though lacking in veggie toppings, and the patty leaned a bit dry. The Pork Belly Bites and Clam Chowder were our favorites—especially the chowder, which is hard to get wrong.
The cocktail menu offered some interesting and creative options, but the execution was just okay. As for the service, it was probably the biggest letdown—after taking our order, our server was MIA until we flagged him down for the check.
While the Financial District doesn’t have a lot of cocktail bars, I’m not sure this would be my go-to spot even if I’m in the area. For a better experience, I’d recommend heading to Vermilion Club instead.“

“I came to the square root to hear jazz. The place holds jazz evenings once every two weeks on Sundays. The place is cozy, well ventilated, good acoustics and most fun, it serves good food! We ate great pizza with ham and bacon and a cinnamon roll with excellent coffee. Highly recommended.“

“Great place for drinks after work. Great selection of cocktails. Or even better for a huge salad at lunch. But our most recent visit featured the chicken Milanese and it was delicious. Perfectly cooked. And this place has a terrific vibe in the evenings.“

“Okay, so the crux of this review is to thank the staff and the management at Saus for creating one of the coolest (and unexpected) “linger a while” environments in downtown. We are pedicab drivers. In the winter, when we come out, it is usually for short shifts that anchor themselves on Bruins and Celtics games. Most of our work riding pedicabs is during the in and out of the game, so the in-between is when we need to refuel and get warm. In the past we had a favorite coffee shop, but they reduced their hours during the pandemic and never returned to night hours. So winter pedicab riders had to adopt a new home for the mid-game “hiding and eating.” During the 2022-2023 winter, we adopted Saus. And we have not regretted it since! Okay, we can go on and on about the delicious fries and sauces. (Our favorite is the CHONKY-ASS CHICKEN NUGGETS and their unsung hero meal of the chicken sandwiches.) But as much as we love the poutine, we want to sing the praises of Saus for other reasons. The staff is proudly funky, fun, and casual. Not that kind of aloof, weird funky. They are GOOD at their jobs! And they have fun with each other. HUGE props to the management for encouraging this culture of “let the employees make their own vibe.” IT WORKS. The staff is friendly, chatty, and quick to remember us regulars. This kind of familiarity in such a touristy ;part of town is not just refreshing, it is heartwarming! So while we warm our butts before heading back into the cold for pedicab, Saus became one of our mid-game homes. Thanks for keeping such an awesome staff culture, and of course delicious food. And thanks for letting us linger and chatting us up. Come to Saus for the fries. Stay for the cool, casual vibe!“

“Very good, affordable modern dining. Great entertainment/atmosphere. Like almost all restaurants, salt content is unnecessarily high. 25% of all Americans would benefit from lowered sodium levels, and increase restaurant business accordingly.“
“This review is for the TopGolf upper level section of this establishment. I was here for a work event and we rented out the three TopGolf simulator stalls on the second floor of this place. This is located in a treacherous area of Boston, inside the Boston Garden building which, if you arent here for a game and just want to eat, its hit or miss if you are going to encounter a mob scene. This restaurant is very large and has two levels, and all kinds of nooks and areas to sit, lots of seating and large TVs all over the place, one huge wall of TVs which is the largest I have seen. Elevator to the second level of this place and in the back are three TopGolf simulator stalls and seating areas and these are pretty cool, lots of games to play, golf, dodge ball, hockey, football etc. The service here was impeccable and the wait staff worked very hard here and had to move in and around people swinging golf clubs. The food here was decent, good candied bacon, churros, sliders, sweet potatoe puffs, chili etc, all very tasty and hit the spot. Not sure of the pricing here, but I assume on scale with any Boston establishment. The dining area on first level open air and looked crammed packed with a very large bar running along the entire wall. The only thing I can say, elevator was down when we got in and stairs are tucked away in back, also there was a smashed glass door and they were trying to remove it while we were there and it shattered more. In all though, not a bad place to eat.“
