“The best Italian sub I’ve had, bar none. As a kid, I used to go to this old deli in Chicago that has long since closed; I’ve been looking for a sub that could match the quality that place had. This place has it, but better; I’m so happy I walked in!Couldn’t recommend this place more!“

“Classic diner feel and great food. Very fast paced and no long wait. All types and variety of dishes. Street parking may be an issue. Last visit was a garden salad with grilled salmon and BF got bacon chessburger on toasted rye bread with fries.“

“Came in for lunch today. Saw the place advertised on Phantom Gourmet and was in the area. Place did not disappoint. Got The Fresser which was HUGE and so delicious. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Will certainly return next time in the area!“

“Had a burger plate with fries and rings; delicious for a good price! No frills - it's a hole in the wall place - but good food made fresh to order with great service. The style that reminds me of some of the great small town burger joints I've had over the years - not the gastropubs and brewery/restaurants that seem to be way more common in Metro Boston. Bravo!“

“My opinion is 9.6/10. Came here because of man vs food did the 2 lbs burger. This place till this day has the juiciest burger meat I ever had was literally dripping down my arm, but not only juicy flavorful and highly enjoyable. “Stopped in today, this was my second time shopping. Got 10lbs fresh kielbasa and lots of other goodies. Very helpful and pleasant staff. I’m not Polish, but my husband and kids are, so I cook the traditional Polish food. I will definitely keep coming back, so hard to find good authentic Polish food!!“

“Best in the world I live for it. After working all week I take myself there and their chicken salad is the best in the world. The potato salad is scrumptious the people that work there are the best. They take good care of you and care about their customers they make it so pleasant going in there. it’s the yummiest most delicious chicken salad and potato salad I have ever had and I’m from a family of good cooks. Make no mistake. It’s the BEST! If when I’m out I make D and G part of my day. I would also like to say that my car didn’t start and the owner eagerly came from around the corner to help me. “I was working in Boston it was early morning and I was craving a breakfast sandwich so I found Max’s Deli Cafe conveniently it was open around 6:30am. I ordered a pastrami, egg & cheese sandwich on a roll it was tasty the service was fast and accurate i will have to return for lunch but breakfast was exactly what I wanted.“

“Ate here on vacation twice and the family loved it. Breakfast was great- I had the breakfast sandwich and the kids had pancakes. Lunch had many unexpected items. I had the musaka, which I had no idea what it was, but it was amazing. The guys working the counter bantered and were a ton of fun.“

The ”Godfather” I took for lunch today at work. Delicious! The combo of flavors was just perfect. They certainly know how to cook at this place! Wow! The Real Deal will be my new go-to place for take out!“

“I ordered an Italian and a steak bomb and both subs were amazing!! I had both toasted and it was just the perfect. The portion of the food was huge in both subs. The quality and the service was great. I recently discovered this place and will be going back. I loved the food.

“I was actually thinking of giving them 5 stars but also had a few minor suggestions. In actuality this is a 4.5+ stars. I ordered fried dough and a chicken parm sandwich. The fried dough was great - light and airy and no hint of greasiness but it definitely needed more powdered sugar. The chicken parm was fantastic - the chicken to bread to sauce to cheese ratio was all spot on. The one suggestion I have is for thinner pieces of chicken- the chicken was on the thicker side. Overall I will definitely be back - sooner than later. I want to try so much more on the menu what should I try next?????“

“Was greeted promptly and in a friendly manner as soon as I walked in the door. Pamela was so helpful and SO accommodating. Had a hot italian sausage sub with peppers and onions and the flavor was to die for and I will definitely go back. The bread was from the bakery next door - Piantadosi's and was fresh as can be. That is the bread we buy at home as well. Nice butchery shop was plenty to choose from.“

For years we've been getting the egg and cheese Croissants which are fresh made and great value. Not the dry crusted croissants one can expect from the coffee shop America runs on.

“Parking: Great place to grab a healthy meal to go or to enjoy while you do some people watching on Centre Street. My favorite is the Thanksgiving Day Sub, delicious every time. They have all the things you would expect at a convenience store with lots of Irish specials food too. There is a guy named Ahmad there, and he is incredibly kind. “We LOVE Inna's! My son devours her chicken pot pies regularly! Her gluten free baked goods got us through a real tough period when he found out he was allergic to wheat. The knishes are fantastic and we LOVE her cookies. Of course the non-gluten free stuff is great too!“
