“This is a nice local pizza place where the pizzas, though a little doughy and oily, hit the spot in the right way.Food (4/5):There is a large variety of pizzas, from which you can buy slices, or pies ranging from medium to large. I got a medium pie for a 20$ that I was able to eat over two meals myself (I got the clam pizza). The taste of the pizza was very good, but it was a bit oily for my tastes. Plus, the dough was a little chewy; I like to eat the crust, but it's a full mouth workout to eat. Although I think the 20$ price tag for a medium pie was a bit pricy for my tastes, it's definitely better than what you get at a chain.Service (5/5):The people who work there are very friendly and are rather quick in producing your order. Sometimes they strike a conversation while you eat or wait (only if you want to though)!Atmosphere (4/5):The vibe is of a local pizza joint, which I appreciate; it feels very local. However, there's not much seating around; only about 3 to 4 tables inside, 1-2 outside, and 2 hightops with no seats. “We recently stayed in Newton for a mini vacation from Canada (visiting Boston). Every night of our stay we ate at this restaurant. I know, not overly adventurous but when the food is this good and the atmosphere is right, why bother looking? You won’t find better! We tried: - Pan seared chicken: AMAZING. - Fish and chips: when you live on the east coast it’s hard to get good fish and chips but these hit the mark! - Filet Mignon: Full of flavour and tender. - Steak Tips: Again, tender and full of flavour. - Risotto: Wonderfully strong mushroom flavour but yet offset with a field of flavours. - Scallops: Seared to perfection. - Short-rib Meatballs: Meat and cheese combo to die for. - Calamari: Another difficult one to get right and find fresh! This was one of my favourite with the dip and hot peppers. - Sirloin: Cooked to perfection, flavour was a hit and a good portion size, well worth the money. THE HOUSE SALAD: All I can say, EMAIL ME THE RECIPE FOR THE DRESSING!! This was the best item for me on the menu. Fresh, simple and full of flavour. I got it with every meal. So to recap: 10/10“

“I only visited to quiet 🤫 hunger pangs, the unauthorized sequel to Games 🎯, and I was short on time. The Furikake Mac Salad appetizer looked good, the ingredients read okay, and the price is right ▶️! It tasted good and held me over till dinner.
Service was good. I was given a smile. I ordered at the self checkout screen.
I am curious about their items on the menu. They have multiple locations and I am going to recommend this one.

“Kenzoku Mazesoba is a great eatery for comforting, brothless ramen (mazesoba). The interior is bright and the staff are accommodating.

The meal started with three warm Kurobuta sausages that were topped with pickled red cabbage and a mustard-based sauce over fresh greens. Overall, a well-rounded appetizer with a nice balance of textures, richness, and acid.

Next, the torched Hamachi roll had fresh fish slices laid on a roll and then torched. The hamachi was then topped with black tobiko and complemented with fresh ginger and wasabi. The roll was light and tasty.

The Yuzu Shio Ramen was the standout and featured braised pork chashu and a delicious poached egg. The medium-bodied noodles were a pleasant to chew with the toppings.

The vegetable mazesoba (vegan) included tofu soboro, mix of corn, quinoa, red pickles, and other goodies. It was a lighter flavor and we appreciated the opportunity to order the truffle oil on the side.

Overall, recommended for a casual and pleasant dinner among family and friends. The food quality and atmosphere make this hidden gem a great choice.“

“The Halloumi Cheese Pita and/or Plates with Charred Eggplant and Garlic Skordalia spreads are my favorites. I especially love the Charred Eggplant spread as it’s extremely tasty and unique. I don’t recommend getting meat as the protein as it’s usually pretty dry.

The Zucchini Chips are also my go-to side dish.

The Loukomades (Greek donuts) are good, but nothing special.

It’s a bit hard to navigate in the Newbury location when it’s crowded as it’s so small“

I had the kofra kebab plate, ground beef with lamb, rolled and fried, salad, hummus, garlic sauce and tabouli. Look it up. I'm probably not touching it all the great aspects of it. Every part of it was exceptional, full of freshness and taste, each part distinctive in taste and presentation from another part. Not the usual commodification of Mediterranean food present in most imitative restaurants. So many spots are predictable, bland, food feeling like it sat around waiting to be served and unremarkable in every way. Not here. A full size salad, bright, light tastes with just the right amount of a delicate dressing. Not just the typical hunks of greens and ingredients thrown together with no soul and doused in some soybean oil based imitation.It was not the thick flour pita pocket that despite rips apart when you try to lightly stuff it with your salad or grape leaves or tabouli, despite being the thickness of baseball glove leather. This pita pocket was as thin as it could be, not the chewy baseball glove we usually get, yet completely resilient. It held everything I stuffed into it.“

I liked the atmosphere and it was really clean and a pretty nice building and it’s around a good area with a bus stop right outside. I decided on fried chicken and fried vegetable rice, which turned out to be an awesome choice. The rice came out first, and it was fantastic. The chicken was perfectly crisp, just the way I like it, even though I didn't request it that way. The customer service was top-notch—very professional.
