“We come here often and love it! They're always consistent, order pick-up is ready within the time frame they state, and the food is delicious. Staff is always friendly and greets you as you walk in the door. There's no space to eat, but take out here is awesome and you get your food fast. Kids love the Pu Pu Platter and hubby and I really enjoy getting the dinner specials. Our favorites are the hunan crispy beef, General Gau's chicken and beef and broccoli. “I came for Chinese BBQ ribs. Was advised to get the bone in ones. I specified that I wanted them very tender. They were as tasty as the first Chinese BBQ ribs I ever tasted, which were the ones that made me seek having that taste once again. I ate slowly from nostalgia, it was like eating memory. They made the ribs very tender. I asked for a small one, but was very satisfied with the portion size. The employee was kind and patient. I absolutely loved it. I also had vegetable spring rolls, which they gave me with some sweet and sour sauce that was yellow, not red. I would come again definitely.“

“My Chinese friend recommened this place when I asked her about Authentic Szechuan/Chinese restaurants in central MA. I was told that the best bet is driving to Boston Chinatown or Red Pepper in Worcester. So, my husband and I went this place as soon as it opened for lunch. I heard staff talking in Chinese and I saw Chinese-speaking Asian customers come in. At least for me, that's how I know the place is serving authentic Chinese dishes.
I honestly think this is the best authentic Szechuan restaurant you can find in Worcester area. Ordered Dan Dan noodle, Szechuan beef stir fry (name?) and Ma La Xiang Guo without changing spicy level. Yes the dishes just taste like what I had in Chinatown in Boston, Philly, and NYC.
Hot tea and rice (we ordered chefs special) were complimentary. Lunch special seems affordable enough as eating out is not as cheap as it used to be. The restaurant has typical American Chinese menu for those not interested in trying new dishes. We will be here again for sure.“

“Shangra-La catered our 2025 New Year's Eve celebration for over 90 people at a local over 55 community. The food was just amazing. Everyone who came was commenting on how delicious the food was. Each dish was so well prepared. Shirley was absolutely amazing to work with and helped us to create the menu. “China wuk is Absolutely the best food that has to come to Solomon pond mall. The reason why I say this is because I have tried the different food places within the mall in China wuk By far has the most flavorful food I can say it’s almost even better than the local Chinese restaurants in the area. I hope they never leave and even open a restaurant. Their food needs more recognition because it’s that good. And their hospitality is even better. There is one cashier/server that is just absolutely so sweet and so attentive every time I come in she remembers me and my order. Love this place!“

I’ve been to countless Chinese takeout spots — often times, the food may not go down well or feels like it has too much sauce etc. Not here, and moreover, the quality is reproducible every time I order. “I’ve ordered from Great Wall three times now, including once over the phone for pickup, and every experience has been easy, comforting, and satisfying. The ordering process was simple and clear, the portions were generous, and the food always came out fresh, hot, flavorful, and very reasonably priced.

This is definitely more of a small hole-in-the-wall takeout place than a dine-in restaurant, but honestly that’s part of why I like it. There’s something very comforting about the atmosphere. The staff have always been kind to me, and the whole place has a quiet, peaceful rhythm to it.

I know some people are looking for ultra-authentic or upscale Chinese food, but that’s not really what I come here for. I come here because the food is tasty, filling, affordable, and genuinely comforting. The wonton soup was hot and steaming and exactly what I needed on a cold, rainy day. The sweet and sour chicken especially scratches that cozy Chinese takeout craving in the best way, and the boneless spare rib special was generous and satisfying too. Even the little fortune cookies at the end sweeten the experience.

On rainy Worcester days especially—when we’re all waiting for the rainbow to appear—this place feels like a warm, dry place to quietly pick up a good meal and decompress for a moment. It’s the kind of food you want when you’re tired, bundled in a blanket, and just want something warm and reliable. I’ve appreciated that more than I can explain.

Everything had a very faint flavor... like spraying perfume on a little sampler card and then walking around with the card to try to smell good... ?‍♀️I probably liked the crab Rangoon the best but I will stick to Wen Hing even though they went down hill too. Mins Wok is also good.
