“I was not impressed. Boneless spareribs were way too sticky and some were burnt. Like other restaurants now there prices have gone up a bit much. Also they are bit off Rte 9 and I think there are other places that are of better quality. I would only give this 3 stars.“

“Simply the best Chinese restaurant in Framingham. They don't offer sit-down tables as it's mostly takeout. It's a family-owned establishment with phenomenal food that consistently delivers the same delicious flavor. I've been a customer for over 15 years. Navigating to downtown Framingham can be a bit tricky, but the effort is worth it for their always fresh, cooked-to-order meals at reasonable prices.“

“Great little takeout place! Food is delicious and the owners are so kind and caring. You can see when people care about their product. We got orange chicken and chicken noodle soup and everything was very fresh, meaty and delicious. Crab Rangoon were crispy but not overfried, just perfect. Highly recommended!“

“Shaanxi Gourmet has delicious authentic Chinese food without having to drive into the city. The restaurant itself is very clean and casual and the staff are very friendly. They make everything in-house. I started with a lychee iced tea, delicious! My first plate was soybean paste homemade noodles. This was this noodles in a mouthwatering soybean meat sauce. The flavors were amazing! This dish also had fresh sliced cucumbers that tasted really good mixed into the dish. My next dish was pork intestine in a brown sauce. Pork Intestine, in general, is like eating extremely tender pork. It is delicious! This also had my favorite wood ear mushrooms, fermented black beans. This dish was a showstopper! I also tried their crispy orange sesame chicken. This was crispy, with nice flavoring without a heavy sauce. Definitely recommend! The egg rolls were a mix of cabbage, celery, and meat. They had a nice flavor. The duck sauce was traditional with a little spice added, possibly cinnamon. For dessert I had warm tapioca. It was also delicious! The restaurant quickly filled up. It seemed the majority of the guests were speaking Chinese! I take that as a good sign. Shanxi is part of Northern China. I think they do an amazing job honoring their food. This is a must try!“

We hah Pork Egg Foo Young, Shrimp Fried Rice, Chicken With Cashew Nuts, Tangerine Crispy Chicken and Crispy Orange Flavored Beef. All the orders were hot and ready when promised. The staff was also very cordial. Very good variety of food on the menu--and sizable portions. I'll be back.“

“They did a really nice job with the interior. Clean, nice decor and the staff was welcoming. The menu was huge. Chinese, Japanese (very large sushi menu), Ramen, Thai and Poke bowls. Choices for everyone.
My review at this time is strictly based on their Chinese food. They say you start eating with your eyes. I also believe the soup sets the tone. The Hot and Sour Soup looked delicious!! Had the right fillers and a nice amount of heat. With that said it was a little watery and lacked those flavors created with vinegar, wine and the old school method is to finish with sesame oil. It was good, but needed to be stronger. The presentation of the PuPu Platter for 1 was one of the nicest that I have ever seen. The Beef Teriyaki was extra crispy throughout. I like a little crisp on the edges but this was completely crispy. The Boneless Spareribs were cut into bite size pieces and had a nice flavor, they were good. The Crab Rangoon's were slightly sweet, with a nice flavor overall. I really liked them. Chicken Wings were standard breaded Chicken Wings. They were moist on the inside and had a nice coating. They weren't the Boston style that's more likely to be made with a little fiive spice, soy and no breading. Egg Roll was more cabbage and pork. It had a nice flavor. Had a little liquid towards the bottom. Overall it was good. More modern than the old school celery. Chicken Fingers were solid! I very much liked the flavor of the Lobster Sauce. My one critique would be to make it thicker. The duck sauce is more of a red sweet and sour sauce. Flavors are fine. I know some go for the dark apple or plum based.
Overall I think there's a lot of potential, especially for the location. Excited to try some other menu items!“

“Food was good and service was quite pleasant, although we did have to ask for a few things that usually show up automatically. As soon as we ask they were provided. The restaurant was also very accessible for people in wheelchairs
Parking: A parking lot is small but it has a number of handicap spaces which was useful
Wheelchair accessibility: The parking lot and restaurant were both accessible. We did not try the bathrooms but I am almost sure they would have worked. They had no trouble finding a table to accommodate two wheelchairs“

“This has been my go-to Chinese restaurant since childhood, and it never disappoints! The food is consistently delicious with rich, authentic flavors. The portions are great, and the service is always warm and friendly. It’s a true neighborhood gem—I highly recommend it if you’re in the area!“
“I hate to be the one to say it, but this sequel is better than the original. I don't know what is different, but whenever I get food from here it tastes fresher and is more flavorful than the Original Jings. The service is rather quick too, I am able to order my food at the counter and be out the door in less than 10 minutes.“

“I highly recommend this takeout restaurant. I’ve driven past it a thousand times but I stopped by on a whim last Saturday at 9pm. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Absolutely the best boneless spareribs I have ever eaten. Terrific pork fried rice that had many added ingredients similar to house special fried rice.“

“Let’s face it, not all Chinese restaurants are created equal. Working at the next town over I’ve had Chinese food from different local restaurants and so far this one is my to go to. Food is delicious and fresh. Portions are great. My wife and I can share one of their luncheon specials. Highly recommend!!!“
“I been ordering for over 10 years and I notice that the portion was lot smaller but I called them and they explained the cost went up this is why they had to take down in the amount. Also when I ordered last time food tast noy good but today I ordered again and they fixed the tast then food was delicious .. my suggestion is if anyone is not happy with the food call them they are willing to costumer satisfaction.“

“We typically go elsewhere, but Christmas Eve our usual spot was closed and Joy Luck came through for us! We loved it and it’s become our new favorite. Veggie lo mein was amazing and my husband is obsessed with their hot and sour soup. Portions are generous, and while the prices seem slightly higher than other Chinese places around here($50 for 2 noodle dishes, soup, and an entree), we will definitely go back because the portions are large and the quality is really good. Sometimes they underestimate how long it will take so I recommend going to pick up like 10 min after they estimate it’ll be ready.“

“One of the best Chinese food restaurants in the whole MetroWest area! Their hot and sour soup is one of the best I've ever had in addition to their gyoza, chicken tenders, pork fried rice, beef lo mein, and just about everything else on the menu!!
Dietary restrictions: Very willing to accommodate for dietary restrictions
Parking: There is a parking lot right next to the restaurant that is very easily accessible and free.“

“I didn't want to give a low star, but I need to mention a few things, so they may improve for the better.
- The front lady wasn't friendly, she didn't even respond to our "thank you" and didn't look at us when we left and same when we entered, which she supposed to say "thank you for coming" etc.
- Air circulation wasn't good, and the lighting was low.
- They need some background Asian music to feel the Asian vibe and prevent noises.
Thank you.“

“Topical all you can eat restaurant some of the meat options are very tough and chewy. However there is a wide verity of food so this makes up for the above statement. Good to come at lunch or dinner starting times guaranteed fresh food. Also the customer service didn’t stand out in any way waitress didn't check up on my table and drinks were left setting empty at edge of table so it could be seen so I ended up helping myself. Prices were a little high for dinner if you got crab legs however I wouldn’t recommend
Parking: Large parking lot“

“Westbound, hungry, and driving through an unusually slow traffic, it was only a matter of time before my itching fingers and fiendishly famished stomach determined the next course of action. Swerved off the next exit, pulled up a list of nearby restaurants, rerouted, and floored it. Fudge it. Hungry. Don’t care. Hungry. Just drive like another M@$$hole and get this nonsense over with.
U Dumpling House had immediately caught my attention. I couldn’t recall where I had read about it but it was positive. Now that it’s just a few minutes away from where I was, why the heck not? Dimsum and soup dumplings? Can’t go wrong right? Then again, I don’t ever remember anyone this hungry complain about anything in the moment until *way* after the meal…
So I rapidly ordered away like it was my last meal before I met my maker. Stuck to the usual choices to see their take on classic dim sum dishes. Best part? Food didn’t take long at all to trickle in straight from the kitchen (no dim sum cart here, as expected).
While the preparation was slightly different from what I’ve been accustomed to for the last few decades, I found their style both pleasant and tasty. At least, most of it was…and I would have given them 5 stars easily if it wasn’t for a few missteps that I can’t let slide.
Dry Sautéed String Beans. As good as your version is…the word “dry” means a particular technique that does not involve blanching the beans. I expected something but received something else. That one step has a different texture and matters to those who know this dish well. Moreover, I expected the soup dumplings, which you are famous for, to stand out. I can’t say it did and that’s me being nice.
Anyways, I definitely recommend anyone in the immediate area craving Chinese food or dim sum to at least try them out once. You may end up being one of those several regulars there that day that obviously frequent this place.“
