The wife is amazing hostess, outgoing and with a smile. Her children work there too, a real authentic family established. One of the very best Solid Crispy sesame chicken, very Little flour, less batter more meat!!! It’s healthier and you can taste the texture of flavors. It’s one if a kind, a signature dish most definitely worth trying.

Not greasy, not oily, not salty . The chicken wings have an amazing marinade glaze, the chicken lo mein is phenomenal all freshly prepared with love and attention. The standout dish is the FISH with black bean sauce!!!! Try it, the best kept secret in Norwood. I drive from Newton and honestly if this was closer I would go more often. Because of that we were hopeful that Cathay Kitchen would be be an improvement. It certainly was as we found everything to be excellent. “Grandma and Grandpa here from NH visiting grandkids today. Grandpa suggests Chinese.. found these guys-- ordered for 2 adults, a 10 yo, 8 yo, 4 yo. Pickup avail in 15 mins. I was concerned over ordering enough. We had way more than enough for, and lot for the next day for a more than reasonable price. Everyone was happy... quality was more than good for Chinese. “I have to say, PuPu has come a long way. For a few years the quality went way down. I would just go to Tahiti even though it was farther away. I would say now how the turntables turn. I think Tahiti is gross now, and PuPu has went above and beyond. Check out my pfp. The food has full rich Chinese flavors, and the portions are huge! “Food is always hot and fresh, I went in because my sister had bought some food there and the chicken wings. What your typical Chinese chicken wings? It was like a fusion of American fried Chicken in Chinese chicken wings. Very good. Very tasty. So I wanted a seafood fried rice which I didn't see on the menu but I asked do they have it? The woman at the front desk was like thought about it for a minute and said you want all seafood in it and I said yes. She was like every I said everything that comes in fried rice but just all the seafood and she made it for me and I was so thankful and when it came out it was hot and it was fresh and it was very delicious. I recommend that to anyone who goes there and I continue to go there even though it's like a half hour from where I live which is not too bad but for good food I will travel 😁“

“I got take-out that was ordered online. The food was good, but the portions were small for the price. Spicy tuna roll - 6 smallish pieces and a shrimp tempura roll - 5 pieces. After tax it was almost $18. So I liked the food, but felt it was expensive for the portions.“

“I come here every couple months when visiting, and they know how to do chinese takeout right. Their crab rangoons are some of the best (even better than some of the thai restaurants I like), the chicken fingers are always crispy and hot, and the chow fun noodles are always great. After moving out of town we tried to find a new place but realized that the team at the mandarin cannot be duplicated !!!!! We find ourselves still making the drive ! “This is the place if you want to get cheap Chinese food made in the 1980's style. Definitely not fancy. You find any modern or exotic dishes here, but if you just want some old-school appetizers, fried rice, chow mein, etc. This place is worth a try.“

He encouraged his subordinates with small compliments, telling them they're doing great especially since they were swarmed with online orders. The people at the front desk are very rude & not at all welcoming, & the take out food was terrible ( no inside dining during CIVID).
