“I had a really nice time at Golden Abacus. We eat at it's neighbor, gyro and kebab frequently and I wanted to give it a shot. We were seated promptly and received our food quickly. We both got dinner combos and I really enjoyed the food. My husband and I both thought the amount of food was good value for money. I really enjoyed the food and so did other folks in the dining room. I heard one woman telling the waiter that she comes down from Jamaica plain for it and she'd brought her daughter to try it. Now, that's a rave! I am not sure I'd drive from JP for it but it was solid Chinese food. The parking lot for this set of businesses can be a little intense if it's busy, but it's usually fine. Also there is a psychic next door if you want to spice up your outing.“
“Been here several times already!!! Food was good, price was under average from the other Chinese restaurants I’ve been to. Where else you can find combination plates under $15, I found it hard to believe! Other places I’ve been to could have your eyes pop wide open with over charge prices!!!“
“Food is amazing! We had the Yunnan Potato Pancake but it's really taro. Also hear classic chicken and broccoli, LaLa beef, sweet sticky rice ball. Service was OK decent. Waiter was helpful in recommending dishes to us, but not the warmest. The restaurant was full, the waiters didn't rush us out. Environment and safety distance - Ambience is great. Spacious in between tables. It was full but didn't feel rushed. Noise level was good. You can hear other people's cheeriness but also able to have a private conversation.“
“I recently dined at this Chinese restaurant that left a delightful impression. The diverse menu offered many different flavorful dishes.. The attentive service and inviting environment added to the overall enjoyable dining experience. I highly recommend trying their signature dishes for a taste of authentic Chinese cuisine.Vegetarian options: Pretty good amount of options for those who are vegetarian!“
“Drove 45min to try Ding’s Kitchen and it didn’t disappoint. Ordered Peking duck, salt and pepper Dungeness crab, stir fried lobster with glutenous fried rice, salt and pepper calamari, and dim sum. Decided to order a couple more entrees to go for dinner tonight. That’s how good it is! Very authentic and flavorful. Will definitely be back!“
“Great Wok Wellesley is a culinary treasure tucked away in the heart of the town. With its inviting atmosphere and attentive staff, it promises a memorable dining experience. From classic Chinese dishes to innovative creations, every bite is a delightful fusion of flavors and textures. Whether you're dining in or taking out, Great Wok Wellesley delivers exceptional Chinese cuisine that keeps customers coming back for more.“
“This is my all time favorite restaurant for Chinese food I'll get it everytime. Never have been disappointed with their food. I recommend trying their salad it has this amazing dressing on top that can't be beat. I also believe that they have the best phad thai in my opinion compared to all others I have tried.“
“Easily the best and most authentic Chinese food in the area, or even broadly Massachusetts. Excellent high quality food at a price that is more than fair. Delicious, flavorful, always on time, with great staff who obviously care about their craft. I cannot recommend them enough.“
“Food: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Service: 4/5 Food at price point: 5/5 The server was almost too personable. I do not like to have a conversation on the average day. And the neighboring table was the worst group of women maybe in the entire world. Out of the restaurants control so it's fine. You must get the dole whip drink!!!!“
“I have ordered pad Thai from this restaurant over 50 times. Recommend topping with peanut sauce, lime, and chili flakes or sriracha sauce. The rest of the menu is hit or miss, so I highly recommend you try the pad thai before you try other dishes.“
“This’s the first time I come here but I feel everything good. We ordered Amazing Sizzling cumin beef and Beef fried rice. Very delicious and I liked. I’m sure, this restaurant better than almost Chinese Restaurant around Boston and Quincy. Good luck to your business! Thank you!“
“I called in to place an order on New Year's Eve. I called about 3 and I was told I could pick up at 7:30. I arrived at the restaurant and my food was not ready. They were so busy so they weren't taking anymore orders. It took about 15 minutes. I ordered the twin salt and pepper lobster. It was hot delicious and plentiful.“
“This is a hidden gem. They have authentic Szechuan dishes. The dumplings are homemade. You can taste the Quality in it. The fish in Mandarin sauce was amazing. The tuna taco was fresh and crispy. The gray short rib was so tender and favorful. The winter rose was scrumptious. The Dan Dan noodles was so soft and spicy. The fried rice was good. The rice roll in brown sugar was sweet and soft. It's pricey, but worth every penny. Staff was so helpful and nice. Definitely will be back“
“Went here with some friends yesterday. It was a snowy day, and we were looking for a cozy place to get some nice Chinese food. I was recommended this place by a friend, so decided to give it a try. This place has absolutely amazing Chinese food that tastes homemade. we talked to the owner and she makes the food homemade every day, so nothing is stuck in a freezer for days on end. I think this made an incredible difference and how awesome our food tasted. Service and atmosphere felt like you were in somebody’s home being served food as a guest. Very cozy vibe and attentive service. The only thing is that it is a bit small, and I can’t see it seating more than eight people at a time.Highly recommend Wonton noodle soup was amazing along with their scallion pancake wraps. Honestly, you won’t go wrong with anything on their menu.Food - 17/20Service - 9/10Atmosphere - 6/10Total - 32/40“
“I have always had great consistent food here. Small modern, casual Chinese and Japanese restaurant. Staff is always very friendly and you get service with a smile. I always start with their Hot and Sour Soup! They use a thick old school recipe that hits you with complex flavors, plenty of fillers like wood ear mushrooms, golden needle, pork and all the good stuff. It finishes with a strong kick that will clear your sinuses. Their Spareribs on the Bone are some of the best around. Definitely one of my favorites. Their Shrimp with Lobster Sauce has a delicious flavor to it. It has a little sweetness complemented with black beans. They switched to the smaller shrimp. I actually like this because you get one in every bite. Like a famous chocolate chip cookie. The shrimp are cooked perfectly are not rubbery at all. Love this dish! Wings are crispy and juicy! Beef Teriyaki is delicious! The Egg Rolls have a really nice flavor. The ingredients could be chopped a little finer. Their sushi is delicious! Today my daughter had a Sushi Taco! Very yummy! There's also conveniently an ice cream shop right next door if you have any room left. Highly recommend eating here!“
“This Vietnamese restaurant ranks among the best I've experienced for both dine-in and takeout. It was an enjoyable adventure for me. If it's your first time visiting, I recommend studying the menu and familiarizing yourself with how to eat the dishes beforehand. Even better, consider going with a Vietnamese friend to fully appreciate the experience. I found the service to be friendly. Here's a tip: When trying drinks like the raw fresh sugarcane juice, request "no ice" to maximize your value.“
“Everything was good. Cold noodles had a good amount of gluten cubes and cucumber with peanut /sesame sauce. Liang pi, a favorite. Eggplant with garlic was very generous. Good flavor and texture, not too soft. Fried intestines with celery excellent as always. This is the only Chinese restaurant I come off the Pike for.“
“Surprisingly good for an austere shop. My daughter was singing her praises of it last week and dragged the rest of the family in. Her favorite is the beef and broccoli combo. My son enjoyed his shrimp fried rice and is not easily pleased. The portions are generous, and the vegetable lo mein I had was delightful and filling. We will be back again, I am sure!“
“My family has been dining there for 30+ years. When I went on Tuesday and ordered a cup of tea they brought me a cup of hot water and a tea bag. When I requested another cup of tea the waitress refilled my cup with hot water (no tea bag). When I requested a pot of tea I was told they no longer use pots only individual cups. I don't think I'll be going back.“
“We’re from New York, we were recommended to go here by the locals at the Asian market (truong thinh supermarket)and Vietnamese jewelry store. They recommended Saigon #1. We’ve only been there during lunch, My parents and I ordered the family style meal and it was so good! Offer a way better variety than the Viet restaurants in the Albany, NY area. Service was good, staff was friendly. I recommend this place if you’re in the area for a family style meal!“
“Looking for good Chicken Fingers, I found them. It's been years since I had good Chicken Fingers. When I traveled out of New England it was so hard to find Chicken Fingers, then I was told to ask for sweet and sour chicken. It's made the same way, just smaller pieces of chicken more like the size of chicken nuggets. Yummy makes them good size and how I remember when I was younger. I'll definitely be back.“
“Finally found a decent authentic Asian place in Massachusetts. Still no comparison to what we have in Seattle. Walked into a somewhat dark and odd smelling place. Prepared myself and my daughter for another harrowing Asian food experience in Mass. I was so wrong and this place surprised me. I've finally figured Chow Mein in the NW does not equivalte to the Chow Mein in NE. Ordered Mongolian Beef, Orange Chicken, Sichuan Chicken, Hot & Sour Soup, Egg Rolls, Buffalo Wings, and Crab Rangoon. The soup was absolutely delicious and fresh. The orange chicken, drum roll please, was NOT breaded and drenched in sweet sauce. The egg rolls were also freshly hand made. The Mongolian Beef and Scichuan Chicken was not drowning in thick sauce and overloaded with the entire vegetable garden. Crab Rangoon was average and wings were just regular hot buffalo wings. Chow Mein was unappetizing and looked really sad. Only wish the food was actually spicy. The flavors were really mild. Asked for hot sauce and was given Sriracha sauce. No complimenrary Oolong tea. ? We will be back! It's worth the 2 hour trip!“
“I ordered delivery tonight. Basil Fried Rice, Wonton Soup, Moo Shu Beef, and Boneless Chicken Wings.9 minutes later, my doorbell rang. I looked at a man holding a brown bag and I had no idea what it was. I stared at him and said, "Westwood Jade?" He said, "yes". Seemed impossible to cook and deliver to food so quickly.....YET: the Basil Fried Rice had the most intense flavor I have ever had in a fried rice dish, the soup broth was flavorful and piping hot with plenty of wontons, the beef was perfectly cooked, tender and delicious and the best boneless wings you can imagine.Good Lord, the food was amazing, the speed of delivery was amazing and great value.“
“Ordered here for the first time tonight because our usual place has been closed for renovations for the last several months. Placed an order for delivery online and scheduled to be delivered when we got home from work. Order was on time, driver was friendly and followed my delivery instructions.Food was good, portion sizes were a let down, for $80 it didn't seem like much food at all but the food was tasty, fresh, and I didnt have that post Chinese stomach uneasiness that comes from most places probably because the food wasn't super greasy which was nice. The boneless spare ribs had a good flavor but we're a bit on the dry/overcooked side, the chicken fingers were also good but some were dry and some were perfect. The white rice was fluffy but not mushy, the duck sauce was on point, the friend shrimp was good, the beef teriyaki was super tasty and the crab rangoon was DELICIOUS. I feel like the dryness can probably be explained by the fact that we were ordering for the first time on the busiest day of the year for Chinese food- New Year's Eve.Online ordering was easy but be forwarned that even though it doesn't say it anywhere, the online orders are fulfilled by DoorDash, which was kind of annoying because I specifically don't order through them anymore since every time I have ever ordered through DoorDash the prices are higher and the portions are significantly smaller than they would be if I just picked it up myself. Which honestly if I'm willing to pay for delivery I don't understand how it's ok for DoorDash to charge more PLUS charge a delivery fee for less food. We will not be ordering delivery again for that reason but we do look forward to trying takeout again sometime.“
“By far the best Chinese food I had in a while. If you’re used to that old school Boston Chinese food, this is the spot for you. They have great customer service and cool the food fresh. It was worth the wait. Definitely will be coming here again and again.“
“Food here is very good! We had the hot n' sour and wonton soups. Hot n' sour not all that spicy on this evening. I prefer spicier but it was delicious and packed with black mushrooms, etc. Egg rolls were good, boneless spare ribs were the strip type. They weren't bad but I like the meatier types. We also had the Ginjo fried rice which wasn't dark - I prefer a lighter style - and had big chunks of pork, shrimp and other ingredients. Fresh and good. Also we had the Singapore rice noodles. This was also very good. Light curry with snow peas, shrimp, etc. Overall a very good meal and we would definitely go back. They have an extensive sushi menu here but we didn't try it. Small but clean space.“
“I heard from a friend that this restaurant is quite tasty, so I tried it today and it tasted really good, very authentic, large portions. The restaurant was clean and tidy and the waiters were very nice. Will recommend to other friends next time too.“
“Never have I ever felt so chinese before in my entire life. Its as if god had this place sent down straight from heaven, giving me this opportunity to feel what its like to be chinese and what a great life is like. Out of every chinese restaurant, this place has left me ascending only because of a singular slurp of chicken lo mein.“
“I’m a CPA in the trenches of tax season right now, and this sesame chicken pork fried rice combo is bringing the right doses of euphoria melting away the stresses with every bite.Their pork to fried rice ratio is fantastic. Packed with good amount of pork chunks for that source of PROTEIN.Sesame chicken sauce is nice and tart. It’s like the restaurant version of Trader Joe’s orange chicken except it was made by an Asian family with love.I eat half and save the other half for later. Excellent portion size to price ratio. Panda Express has nothing on Cathay kitchen. All of this satisfies my hunger and craving for Chinese food, along with 200mg of caffeine from a can of Celsius is keeping me LOCKED IN to refuel and get TAXES DONE ON A SATURDAY! WOOO!!!“
“Great food and service. Definitely authentic food. The medium spicy is a little spicier than other places, so do be aware. The kungpao chicken was a great dish, a little saltier than normal. The pork soup and soup dumplings were on point. Def a good place to try.“
“This place is fantastic! They are quick and also their food taste great! Reasonably priced as well.My new go to hole in the wall chinese food spot!- Accidentally went in 15 minutes before they opened and they took my order and made my food anyways! ????“
“Best Cubano sandwich I've had in a long long time,Also my GF needed to use the bathroom and none of the businesses around would help her out and the owner was awesome enough to let her use the one in the back. She ordered a Torta and Guava Agua Fresca thoroughly enjoyed both“
“I opted to order takeout from there, and I must say, their menu offers a diverse range of options, making it challenging to decide. Ultimately, I went with the rice bowl featuring duck, chicken, beef, cabbage, and scallion ginger sauce. It was delicious, satisfying and filling, providing enough for two meals. This is going to be my "go to" Asian restaurant.“
“I ordered the egg toll, pork fried rice and the moo shi pork. Best egg roll I have ever had!!!! Rice wasn't great but not bad. The Moo shi was perfect, except they didn't send the sauce with it. Other than the missing item, very solid. Courteous order taking and delivery. I will order from here again.“
