“Been here several times already!!! Food was good, price was under average from the other Chinese restaurants I’ve been to. Where else you can find combination plates under $15, I found it hard to believe! Other places I’ve been to could have your eyes pop wide open with over charge prices!!!“

“Nice Chinese cuisine in Sharon. More authentic than the typical American Chinese restaurants. Variety of fish and spicy beef and pork dishes. Though for those who don't like real 'Chinese' food you can still get your fried platters, scallion pancakes, fried rice or noodles.“

“We did an online dumpling making course from Mei Mei and had a fantastic time. Our instructor, Rachel, was super clear in explaining the processes taught in the class, and made it fun to learn! We ended up with great dumplings and a cool new skill.“

“My girlfriend and I were in the mood for takeout food, so we tried a place near us that we hadn’t had before.
After trying to branch out to find new places to eat and were mostly underwhelming, Bamboo Cafe came through for us! We got the chicken pad they, vegetable Lo Mein, boneless spare ribs, and Ravioli. Everything was delicious and we definitely plan to go back.
The spareribs and ravioli were especially delicious, probably the best we’ve ever had.“

“Food is good, but it is often too salty for my tastes. We enjoy the dim sum dishes, but it can be hit or miss as far as liking something enough to order it again. I guess, like any Chinese restaurant that I have been to in the area, there are some dishes they do well and appeal to my taste and other dishes that do not.“

“Shaanxi Gourmet has delicious authentic Chinese food without having to drive into the city. The restaurant itself is very clean and casual and the staff are very friendly. They make everything in-house. I started with a lychee iced tea, delicious! My first plate was soybean paste homemade noodles. This was this noodles in a mouthwatering soybean meat sauce. The flavors were amazing! This dish also had fresh sliced cucumbers that tasted really good mixed into the dish. My next dish was pork intestine in a brown sauce. Pork Intestine, in general, is like eating extremely tender pork. It is delicious! This also had my favorite wood ear mushrooms, fermented black beans. This dish was a showstopper! I also tried their crispy orange sesame chicken. This was crispy, with nice flavoring without a heavy sauce. Definitely recommend! The egg rolls were a mix of cabbage, celery, and meat. They had a nice flavor. The duck sauce was traditional with a little spice added, possibly cinnamon. For dessert I had warm tapioca. It was also delicious! The restaurant quickly filled up. It seemed the majority of the guests were speaking Chinese! I take that as a good sign. Shanxi is part of Northern China. I think they do an amazing job honoring their food. This is a must try!“

“Incredibly friendly and attentive service. The doors (there are two) are super heavy, and I couldn’t open it. Someone jumped right away to help.
I got the Japanese udon noodles and the miso soup. The soup was fishier than I remember miso being but it’s been a long time since I have had. It was hearty and hot and enjoyable.
The udon noodles were well-seasoned. The veggies were delicious. The chicken was a little fattier than I am used to but it was all yummy and the food came promptly after ordering.
My water was refilled as I drank and the check came just as I was finishing my meal, so very attentive but respectful service.
Would recommend.
Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible but doors are very heavy. I needed help.“

“Exactly the Americanized Chinese food I was looking for. Beef and broccoli was my favorite. Very solid pork fried rice. Peking ravs were the fried kind that are drier on the outside- not my style but still juicy and tasty inside. Crab Rangoon was crispy and delicious but abandoned any thought of crabbiness.“

“The food here is great . Scallion pancake wraps with beef ,crispy chicken or shrimp are fantastic . Steamed buns , dumplings and noodle dishes too . Service is great . It's a small place , only a few tables , so takeout may be a good option . Definitely worth the trip .
Parking: On street parking . I've never had a problem , but it is a little tight in the neighborhood .“

“They did a really nice job with the interior. Clean, nice decor and the staff was welcoming. The menu was huge. Chinese, Japanese (very large sushi menu), Ramen, Thai and Poke bowls. Choices for everyone.
My review at this time is strictly based on their Chinese food. They say you start eating with your eyes. I also believe the soup sets the tone. The Hot and Sour Soup looked delicious!! Had the right fillers and a nice amount of heat. With that said it was a little watery and lacked those flavors created with vinegar, wine and the old school method is to finish with sesame oil. It was good, but needed to be stronger. The presentation of the PuPu Platter for 1 was one of the nicest that I have ever seen. The Beef Teriyaki was extra crispy throughout. I like a little crisp on the edges but this was completely crispy. The Boneless Spareribs were cut into bite size pieces and had a nice flavor, they were good. The Crab Rangoon's were slightly sweet, with a nice flavor overall. I really liked them. Chicken Wings were standard breaded Chicken Wings. They were moist on the inside and had a nice coating. They weren't the Boston style that's more likely to be made with a little fiive spice, soy and no breading. Egg Roll was more cabbage and pork. It had a nice flavor. Had a little liquid towards the bottom. Overall it was good. More modern than the old school celery. Chicken Fingers were solid! I very much liked the flavor of the Lobster Sauce. My one critique would be to make it thicker. The duck sauce is more of a red sweet and sour sauce. Flavors are fine. I know some go for the dark apple or plum based.
Overall I think there's a lot of potential, especially for the location. Excited to try some other menu items!“

“After reading some reviews, I decided to come here for dinner. The waitress has provided lovely service and the food comes out very quick. When I ordered their crab rangoons, it arrived with massive decoration and I can instantly tell that they care a lot about their customers. Aside from that, it’s a very peaceful place with friendly staff at the front desk. I even tried their basil fried rice, hot and sour soup, and sesame chicken and it was UNBELIEVABLE. It’s like they added a secret ingredient inside that makes the food perfect! I will definitely come back soon!!“

“The food was very nice, but not quite top-tier. I felt the milkshakes were OK, the scallion pancakes were excellent, the fried rice with tofu was very good. The vegetable ravioli was a miss for me. It was basically like a dumpling, but it didn't quite hit the spot. Service was above and beyond!! Amazing wait-staff.
Vegetarian options: Pretty decent options! You can definitely have a good experience here as a vegetarian.“

“The quality of food and freshness is outstanding! I have very high standards as there are only 2 chineese restaurants I would order from and this is one of them. The hunan chicken was chock full of crunchy vegetables and chicken with oustanding flavor. Egg roll crispy with no grease. Fried rice is light and fresh with great flavor. The delivery drivers are even fantastic and very professional and appreciative. I should have written this review 15 meals ago.“

“We get takeout from here every Friday. Their food is EXCELLENT! I love the crab Rangoon, boneless spareribs, chicken fingers, authentic eggrolls, scallion pancake, Peking ravioli... I might have to name every appetizer! Their rice and Lo mein are very good too. I would say classic old-school Chinese food for a reasonable price. Def give them a try!“

“This restaurant is a no frills, fast food, take out restaurant. The neighborhood is Very Sketchy. If you know Dudley Station you will understand.
The benefits of this place is that for $10.50 a plate, you get 4 ( or 5?) selections. And they are generous with their portions.
Parking: The area is very busy with foot traffic. Finding parking is difficult. Try parking your car somewhere safe and walk over to the restaurant.“

“My meal was delicious. I can’t speak for service directly or atmosphere as I had the food delivered via Uber Eats, but this was almost precisely what I wanted and I am a hard customer to please. My two misgivings are that the crab rangoons were a tad soggy on the bottom, and the broccoli in the general Gau’s chicken was a little tough. However whatever the detractors, the positives far outweigh them. The chicken, though white meat which is usually not my fave, was prepared and fried perfectly and was both juicy inside and crispy outside. The amount of sauce was just right. Four rangoons came with the combo meal which seems reasonably generous, filling tasted just right. I also upgraded the combo with a second app accompaniment— got an egg roll which was just right with cabbage and pork filling. Duck sauce was not too sweet and had that nice hint of fruit flavor that reminds me of applesauce— just right. Fried rice was not mushy nor was it dry, just right, with a wonderful little bit of smokiness/molasses flavor, a little bean sprout and a sprinkling of nice pork pieces.Base price excluding delivery fees and tip for the driver was around $20 and it’s easily enough for two filling meals (The photo i included was after I ate half at least).I look forward to trying other dishes in future!“

“I hate to be the one to say it, but this sequel is better than the original. I don't know what is different, but whenever I get food from here it tastes fresher and is more flavorful than the Original Jings. The service is rather quick too, I am able to order my food at the counter and be out the door in less than 10 minutes.“

“Dumpling House is a great hidden gem in a little strip mall on Walnut street in Newton. There was plenty of parking. Restaurant appeared very clean. Staff was friendly. The menu is huge. Mostly authentic Chinese dishes. Not your typical American style Chinese food. The food tasted extremely fresh and full of flavor. I started with a small hot and sour soup with shredded pork. It was large enough for two people. Very traditionally prepared with wood ear mushrooms, golden needles, tofu, pork, scallions. It had a very nice complex flavor with a big kick that would clear out anyone's sinuses. Soup was delicious! My first appetizer was the jellyfish with garlic. This was like a salad with the jellyfish cut in thin strips with a solid but not chewy texture. The dish also had cucumbers, carrots, sesame seeds and plenty of garlic. Delicious! Next I had one of my favorites appetizers. Crispy fried pig intestines! If you have never had this, step outside your box. The outside is crispy with a texture like bacon and the inside is a soft moist delicious pork flavor. This dish is amazing! For my entrée I had to go with the pork and crab soup dumplings. These were full of soup, flavor and makes the whole trip worth it! Soooo good! If you are looking for quality food that's different from the American PuPu platter, check this place out. I can't wait to go back!
Kid-friendliness: For the good kids..

“I have been going here for over 15years and their food is always great! Recently I noticed that they increased their prices and made their combination plates smaller. That is a bummer. I can understand an increase in prices because of inflation but not a decrease in portions. That is not good for the consumer. I hope they can address this because I really love ordering Chinese food from here!“

“Pleasantly surprised by the food and quick service. Wanted American Chinese and decided to give this place a try despite the reviews— so glad I did! Ordered online and it was ready when it said it would be. Went inside and saw how food was cooked fresh and to order. It was clean and very deliciously smelling. Ordered an appetizer sample and it smelled and tasted fresh and with quality. Got an order of general gau’s for my husband he and liked his meal. The flavors of the lo mein had that wok flavor and I was impressed. The food was fried well but not only. Will definitely come here again.“

“If you want some real Cantonese Chinese food and roasted meat in Dorchester area, this is the place. If you are super hungry, the 3 meat delights will fill any stomach. Huge portions of meats on top of a container full of rice. Salt and pepper squid and porchop or shrimps with rice, fish and tofu with rice, and black pepper beef are some of my favorites. Everything is very flavorful. This place is takeout only since COVID pandemic.Cash only.“

“Ronald Coleman I agree with everything above. Sunrise House is my go to Chinese restaurant. Takeout service is excellent, the food is the best and is always hot when I get home (15 miles away). Love their General Gau's chicken combination plate with pork fried rice and a appetizer of boneless spare ribs--all for a price of $13 +tax. It is enough for me to have 2.5 meals of great eating. Pick up is easy because you can park in a spacious lot. When you go inside you can see and smell the delicious food being cooked in an immaculate kitchen. The interface with the workers is pleasant and quick. I go there an average of twice a month. Try it you will not be disappointed.“

“I ordered delivery tonight. Basil Fried Rice, Wonton Soup, Moo Shu Beef, and Boneless Chicken Wings.9 minutes later, my doorbell rang. I looked at a man holding a brown bag and I had no idea what it was. I stared at him and said, "Westwood Jade?" He said, "yes". Seemed impossible to cook and deliver to food so quickly.....YET: the Basil Fried Rice had the most intense flavor I have ever had in a fried rice dish, the soup broth was flavorful and piping hot with plenty of wontons, the beef was perfectly cooked, tender and delicious and the best boneless wings you can imagine.Good Lord, the food was amazing, the speed of delivery was amazing and great value.“

“The BEST Chinese food in all of Boston!! I cannot recommend this place enough. It took me 7 years of living in Boston and trying different Chinese food restaurants to finally find China Station, and I am so glad I found it. The #22 combo dinner is delicious, so are the egg rolls. And the prices are very affordable for the amount of food you get!“

“What took place? You used to have excellent, freshly prepared cuisine. It's unbelievable that I spent so much money on what appeared to be just warmed-up food that was a day or two old. I'm not sure if I can still pick up there. I hate to say it, but I have to lower this place's rating from five stars to two.“
“Their food is BOMB, i just love the food here. I'm excited that they're open till late and at the same time I wish they'd open earlier. “This is my favorite restaurant in the world. It's casual and cozy and never intimidating. Also never full, probably because take out is their main gig. The food is so good. I am obsessed with the szechuan broth and regularly used to go in here by myself and get chicken combo and eat the whole thing in 20 min. I also love the sushi, always great quality. I used to come in here a lot with my band, often in a certain state of mind, and we would ask for "Triple Dragon Combo," which is not something they offer but then we would go on to explain that we wanted Red Dragon Maki, Dragonfly Maki and Dragon Maki. My wife is less of a sushi fan but she orders from their Chinese menu and the hot and sour soup, Rangoons, and Gau are fantastic. I have yet to be unsatisfied with my usual choices enough to try their Thai food except I usually get a Thai ice tea which is great. Always friendly staff and we often have friendly conversations. I hope it is the same forever. Anything else? Err, sometimes you gotta go around the block to find parking? It's never that bad though.“
