“I got a lunch special here. This is your basic Chinese (American) food place. My food was very good and there was enough for a second meal. Very reasonably priced. I got my food to go, but there is a very small area inside to eat if you wanted to I'd go there again.“

“Not bad at all! Everything tasted good, although I wish the hand-cut noodles hadn’t been so uniform in their shape so I didn’t question their “hand” cut ness.
The beef scallion pancake was very nice, and thinly sliced scallion inside reminded me of Beijing duck flavors. It was quite sweet.
The pan fried buns were tasty, though maybe not the best I’ve had in Boston.
I would say that this restaurant has actually Chinese food, but seems very accessible and friendly to non-Chinese people who might be intimidated by anything too authentic.
Despite being quite full on Friday night, there was no wait for a table for 2.“

“We have a new office in Boston. So periodically I drive down from our main office to the Boston location and every time I do, I have resolved to try a new restaurant. This was today’s choice and it was SPECTACULAR! My server was fantastic. The food came out quickly and was insanely good. I didn’t know how big my stir-fried rice cake bowl would be so I ordered the sweet and sour pork loin to go with it. But the rice cake bowl was huge and tasted incredible. Lots of heat, lots of fresh prepared veggies and meat. 10/10 would recommend that dish. The pork tenderloin I tried and 10/10 would recommend it as well. The location is a bit small and that is literally the only nit I can pick. If you’re in this area, get some take out or eat in , you won’t regret it!!“

“I love the food, but the location is terrible. The wait is awful. The door and the wind tunnel effect is awful. Parking awful. Again love the food, especially the pan fried Shanghai style pork buns. The best. Just wish they were somewhere else.“

“First time trying it tonight. The food was amazing and the service was phenomenal. The employees were very kind and friendly. Very high quality and fresh food. Probably the best lo mein I’ve ever had. This will definitely be our new take out spot. Highly recommend. 5 stars all around!“

“Pleasantly surprised! The place was actually quite busy on a Friday afternoon. First caveat.. if you do not like lamb do not go here. There was a distinct lamb smell in the air because...lamb is really their specialty! We tried a few things.. beef and lamb, and by far the lamb was better. The noodles were the highlight, great texture and unlimited length! My comment makes it kind of funny that the noodles were harder to eat in my stir fry because it was one big noodle. Funny problem to have. Anyways I'll be back to try more stuff!“

“This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in all of Boston. I recently went back for the first time in months, the food was so good! As I was finishing eating, I remembered reading recently there’s a New Owner, often times quality / consistency goes down with a New Owner however that is not the case here. If anything, the food was better than before 👍“

“This place is amazing! Their sushi is super fresh and delicious - even the next day leftovers, which is saying something. They go above and beyond with their service, always friendly and genuinely caring for you to enjoy their food! And their prices are unmatched - you can't find prices like that anymore. This is our all time favorite go-to sushi place, there's no one better around Brockton, Stoughton, Avon area.“

“Big Fun Claypot is a great addition to Brookline. It's clean and near a green line stop. The servers are polite and attentive. The salt and pepper is perfectly flavored and not dry. The beef chow fun has the wok energy taste but its on the oily side. As for the claypot rice itself, I ordered the eel which had a few bones in it but the eel was seasoned well.“

“We all thoroughly enjoyed our Hot Pot Buffet. Great value for high quality ingredients that were very fresh. We tried several choices not typically found at other restaurants. Our fantastic wait staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and highly efficient. We recommend Fairy Cafe and will definitely be back.“

“Great pan fried dumplings and Chinese cafeteria style dining. We were lucky and the pan fried dumplings were just coming out of the kitchen so they were piping hot - crispy outside, juicy and flavorful insides. We burned our mouths! 😰 they were so good, we took some to go. We also got a plate from the hot bar and that didn’t disappoint. Cheap prices, good food, and now they accept credit card!
Reader- if you’ve seen my other food posts, you learn that my belly eats first, camera last, hence not so great photos. Definitely coming back for more!“

“We had a great experience at Clay Pot Cafe ! Everything we ordered really hit the spot.
The curry fish balls were flavorful and had just the right amount of spice definitely a must order. The chicken sausage clay pot was delicious, with perfectly cooked rice and rich, savory flavors that really brought the dish together.
The fish congee was a huge hit with the kids they absolutely loved it! It was comforting, fresh, and full of flavor.
Overall, a fantastic meal for the whole family. We’ll definitely be coming back!“

“This restaurant offers authentic Chinese cuisine and is a great choice for those looking to experience traditional Chinese home-style dishes. The prices are very reasonable. However, the restaurant is relatively simple in terms of ambiance, and parking is only available on the roadside, so plan accordingly. Overall, it’s ideal for those who prioritize taste!“

“One of the best Chinese takeout place in town. Fast and attentive service. Very good value. My favorites are the chicken wings and Singapore rice noodle. Other dishes are worth a try too. Highly recommended if you don't want to cook and don't want to break the bank.“

“We tried Kozy Kitchen while visiting Boston and it ended up being a really nice surprise. We ordered the beef noodle soup and xiao long bao, and both were seriously good, honestly better than a lot of places we’ve tried in Boston’s Chinatown. We’re visiting from New York, so we’re pretty picky about Chinese food, and this place definitely delivered. The location is also super convenient on the BU campus.“

“Really enjoyed this place! It’s conveniently located near BU and the restaurant is clean with quick service.
I ordered the braised beef rice roll and soy milk, and both were great. The beef was very tender and flavorful, pairing really well with the smooth and delicate rice roll. The sauce was well-balanced and not overly salty. The soy milk was rich and had that authentic taste, just like what you’d find in China.
Portions are solid and the price is reasonable for the area. Staff were friendly and the overall experience was great. Definitely worth trying if you're craving authentic Cantonese-style comfort food!“

“I got General Tso’s chicken from here, and it’s easily the best I’ve ever had!
When I walked in, I was greeted very warmly by an employee, which is already a big plus. The place is super nice, bright and kind of bougie. It looked very clean overall. It was also really busy during dinner time.
I can’t wait to try their other dishes too. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for some delicious Chinese food!“

“The woman who took my order over the phone knew exactly who I was when I walked in. She was so nice! My beef chow fun was ready in 5 minutes and is so fresh. I had to try it as soon as I got to the car because the smell was intoxicating. The portion size is out of this world and has all the things a dry beef chow fun should—sliced white onions, green scallions, bean sprouts and of course, wok heiiiii. 😍 Will be back to try more of their offerings, especially the roasted duck that you can see hanging; the beautiful aroma filled the shop. The restaurant is cash-only and has plenty of booth style seating available. I liked the chill vibe in there and will eat inside next time.“

“It was our first time here. Sushi was great. Staff was also very pleasant. The restaurant itself was a very nice environment nice seating and lighting. The presentation of the sushi was amazing! It came in a beautifully designed boat steaming with dried ice and beautiful decorations! They had a pretty decent size menu. Absolutely going back.“

“One of the only places near Boston that serve authentic FJ (Fuzhounese) food. Service is slow as there’s one boss lady doing everything from cooking to cleaning so don’t come in expecting too much and be patient. My favorites here are the peanut noodles (ban mian), stir fry rice cakes (nian gao), and the wonton soup (bian rou). CASH ONLY so bring change.
Everything is priced very affordably, I believe the 3 dishes in the pic were around $20 total.“

“This hole in the wall is not pretty Inside, but they do have Cantonese/Hong Kong Style food. They are Cash only. We got the curry sauce pork on spaghetti and Beef stew & wonton soup. The service was decent. Don't have have expectations for service at any Asian places. Our food came fast, but getting our bill took time. They got pretty busy. The wontons tasted homemade and the broth was very rich in flavor. The curry sauce was thick and tasty. The pork was perfectly cooked. Overall, a good experience“

“Delicious hand pulled noodles. Don’t wear white - you’ll get so excited eating that the soup will splatter! The lunch combo has a very generous portion size. The egg was delicious addition! Salted vegetables were a great appetizer. I liked the thin noodles, next time will try wide. The service was very attentive“

“Ronald Coleman I agree with everything above. Sunrise House is my go to Chinese restaurant. Takeout service is excellent, the food is the best and is always hot when I get home (15 miles away). Love their General Gau's chicken combination plate with pork fried rice and a appetizer of boneless spare ribs--all for a price of $13 +tax. It is enough for me to have 2.5 meals of great eating. Pick up is easy because you can park in a spacious lot. When you go inside you can see and smell the delicious food being cooked in an immaculate kitchen. The interface with the workers is pleasant and quick. I go there an average of twice a month. Try it you will not be disappointed.“

“Mainly delicious as usual except the boneless spareribs… not many and not chewable. The last few in the carton were so tiny and crunchy. Had to throw most of them away. Usually there are more than I can eat but tonight about 12 little pieces. Rest of my order was delicious“
“We ordered takeout and were really impressed. The crab rangoon was crispy and flavorful, the house special fried rice was delicious and the egg rolls were fresh and tasty. Everything was hot and well-prepared. Definitely one of the better Chinese food spots we’ve tried! Love the fried noodles my favorite!“

“This place has some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time . Since moving to Holbrook this is my new go to spot for ordering take out or delivery. Today I ordered the General GAO’s Chicken combo plate w Beef Lo Mein , boneless spare ribs, and chicken fingers. Everything on that plate I give 10/10. It doesn’t get better with flavor and quality I had to tell my roommates about this place because I’m so impressed!!! Btw if you enjoy orange chicken you won’t be disappointed they even put fresh orange on the plate and the portions are huge. Great fried rice and all the appetizers are on point as well. If you like really great quality classic American Chinese food then this is the place to go . Highly recommended!“

“Boneless spareribs, pork fried rice, and beef teriyaki were all dried out and the chicken fingers had raw batter in the middle! The coke tasted like syrup with no carbonation and when brought to the attention of the waiter he said he was aware of the problem the machine is not working.“
“Ordered the 3 entree bento from ubereats and I would definitely order it again! It’s a generous amount of food with variety. It was a little salty but was flavorful and spicy. I liked the pork in garlic sauce and celery with shrimp. I’m glad they wrapped the containers with plastic because the oil/sauces spill out of the containers during transit!“

“I called this place reluctantly late last night because it was my only real option at 9:30 pm (they close by 10)….i had tried it years ago and didn’t think it was very good. Well, last night they proved themselves lol! I ordered house fried rice and bone in spare ribs. Not only did they serve me with a smile and seem happy to be there still, I’m sure it had been a long day..the food was piping hot and so fresh! I was definitely expecting less ten minutes prior to closing! The rice had a little of everything and was so good! The pork pieces weren’t all fatty trimmings like most places. This was actual chunks of pork with very little to no fat. Little shrimps and chicken…so so good. I couldn’t stop eating it. The ribs were cooked to perfection, meaty, and so tasty I was licking my fingers and the bones haha! Best ribs I’ve had anywhere! The price was good too! I will definitely be back!“
