“Not bad at all! Everything tasted good, although I wish the hand-cut noodles hadn’t been so uniform in their shape so I didn’t question their “hand” cut ness.
The beef scallion pancake was very nice, and thinly sliced scallion inside reminded me of Beijing duck flavors. It was quite sweet.
The pan fried buns were tasty, though maybe not the best I’ve had in Boston.
I would say that this restaurant has actually Chinese food, but seems very accessible and friendly to non-Chinese people who might be intimidated by anything too authentic.

“We have a new office in Boston. So periodically I drive down from our main office to the Boston location and every time I do, I have resolved to try a new restaurant. This was today’s choice and it was SPECTACULAR! My server was fantastic. The food came out quickly and was insanely good. I didn’t know how big my stir-fried rice cake bowl would be so I ordered the sweet and sour pork loin to go with it. But the rice cake bowl was huge and tasted incredible. Lots of heat, lots of fresh prepared veggies and meat. 10/10 would recommend that dish. The pork tenderloin I tried and 10/10 would recommend it as well. The location is a bit small and that is literally the only nit I can pick. If you’re in this area, get some take out or eat in , you won’t regret it!!“

“Pleasantly surprised! The place was actually quite busy on a Friday afternoon. First caveat.. if you do not like lamb do not go here. There was a distinct lamb smell in the air because...lamb is really their specialty! We tried a few things.. beef and lamb, and by far the lamb was better. The noodles were the highlight, great texture and unlimited length! My comment makes it kind of funny that the noodles were harder to eat in my stir fry because it was one big noodle. “Big Fun Claypot is a great addition to Brookline. It's clean and near a green line stop. The servers are polite and attentive. The salt and pepper is perfectly flavored and not dry. The beef chow fun has the wok energy taste but its on the oily side. As for the claypot rice itself, I ordered the eel which had a few bones in it but the eel was seasoned well.“

We were lucky and the pan fried dumplings were just coming out of the kitchen so they were piping hot - crispy outside, juicy and flavorful insides. “We had a great experience at Clay Pot Cafe ! Everything we ordered really hit the spot.
The curry fish balls were flavorful and had just the right amount of spice definitely a must order. The chicken sausage clay pot was delicious, with perfectly cooked rice and rich, savory flavors that really brought the dish together.
The fish congee was a huge hit with the kids they absolutely loved it! It was comforting, fresh, and full of flavor.

When I walked in, I was greeted very warmly by an employee, which is already a big plus. The place is super nice, bright and kind of bougie. It looked very clean overall. It was also really busy during dinner time.

“The woman who took my order over the phone knew exactly who I was when I walked in. She was so nice! My beef chow fun was ready in 5 minutes and is so fresh. I had to try it as soon as I got to the car because the smell was intoxicating. The portion size is out of this world and has all the things a dry beef chow fun should—sliced white onions, green scallions, bean sprouts and of course, wok heiiiii. 😍 Will be back to try more of their offerings, especially the roasted duck that you can see hanging; the beautiful aroma filled the shop. “One of the only places near Boston that serve authentic FJ (Fuzhounese) food. Service is slow as there’s one boss lady doing everything from cooking to cleaning so don’t come in expecting too much and be patient. My favorites here are the peanut noodles (ban mian), stir fry rice cakes (nian gao), and the wonton soup (bian rou). CASH ONLY so bring change.

Everything is priced very affordably, I believe the 3 dishes in the pic were around $20 total.“

“This hole in the wall is not pretty Inside,but they do have Cantonese/Hong Kong Style food. They are Cash only. We got the curry sauce pork on spaghetti and Beef stew & wonton soup. “Ronald Coleman I agree with everything above. Sunrise House is my go to Chinese restaurant. Takeout service is excellent, the food is the best and is always hot when I get home (15 miles away). Love their General Gau's chicken combination plate with pork fried rice and a appetizer of boneless spare ribs--all for a price of $13 +tax. It is enough for me to have 2.5 meals of great eating. Pick up is easy because you can park in a spacious lot. When you go inside you can see and smell the delicious food being cooked in an immaculate kitchen. The interface with the workers is pleasant and quick. I go there an average of twice a month. Try it you will not be disappointed.“

“This place has some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time . Since moving to Holbrook this is my new go to spot for ordering take out or delivery. Today I ordered the General GAO’s Chicken combo plate w Beef Lo Mein , boneless spare ribs, and chicken fingers. Everything on that plate I give 10/10. It doesn’t get better with flavor and quality I had to tell my roommates about this place because I’m so impressed!!! Btw if you enjoy orange chicken you won’t be disappointed they even put fresh orange on the plate and the portions are huge. Great fried rice and all the appetizers are on point as well. Well, last night they proved themselves lol! I ordered house fried rice and bone in spare ribs. Not only did they serve me with a smile and seem happy to be there still, I’m sure it had been a long day..the food was piping hot and so fresh! I was definitely expecting less ten minutes prior to closing! The rice had a little of everything and was so good! The pork pieces weren’t all fatty trimmings like most places. This was actual chunks of pork with very little to no fat. Little shrimps and chicken…so so good. I couldn’t stop eating it. The ribs were cooked to perfection, meaty, and so tasty I was licking my fingers and the bones haha! Best ribs I’ve had anywhere! The price was good too! I will definitely be back!“
