“I've been to KungFu Kitchen two times now and it's been consistently great. I've ordered the Pork Xiao Long Bao, Pork and Shrimp Wonton Soup, Scallion Pancake with Sliced Beef, Shanghai Pan-Fried Pork Buns, and Cucumber Salad - all were amazing and would order again. The pork and shrimp wonton soup was brought a perfect balance to the flavorful meal and it's broth was super yummy. The cucumber salad was seasoned perfectly and was a nice balance to the otherwise heavy meal. My favorite is probably the pork xiao long bao, but honestly, you can't go wrong with anything you order.

Service was great. Both times we were a party of two and were seated quickly, if not immediately. Food came out very fast. Will 100% be returning.“

“Ratatouille | Remember that scene when the food critic was brought back to his childhood memory of his mother cooking ratatouille? It was kinda like that for me at Big Fun Claypot in Brookline. Such familiar childhood memories of flavors. I got the combo with Salty Fish and Ground Pork with Chinese Sausage and Bacon and it was delish! The salty fishy had so much tasty nostalgia and the lop cheurng (Chinese sausage) was sweet and juicy. Even had fun scraping off the crispy rice from the bottom of the claypot. Will go here again!“

“My wife (and her family) love rice rolls and often make our own. This place is very good (4.5 stars). Thin and chewy with good amount of filling and a sauce that is right balance of sweet and savory. Good portions for the price. Our favorite was the char siu, but the beef, shrimp and beef stew were also delicious. Recommend!“

“Had a great meal at Lan Feast. We ordered the tea chicken, fried noodles, and the eggplant with string beans, and every dish was flavorful and well prepared. The tea chicken was especially tasty with crispy skin and juicy meat, while the eggplant and string beans had a great balance of texture and seasoning. The fried noodles were also delicious and paired well with the other dishes. Service was friendly and the food came out quickly. Definitely a spot I’d come back to when I’m craving good Chinese food in Boston.“

Northeast Eating Club 东北吃饭公司 Chinese • $$
320 Washington St, Brookline

“Northeast Eating Club focuses on Dongbei (Northeastern Chinese) cuisine, offering a menu that feels different from the more common Chinese dishes found around the area. The restaurant has a casual but lively atmosphere, with a menu built around bold flavors, skewers, and dishes that highlight the style of food from Northeast China. It is the type of place that works well for sharing multiple dishes rather than ordering just one item.

The biggest highlight for me was the variety of flavors and the more unique dishes. The skewers were the strongest part of the meal, especially the squid skewer, which had the best balance of seasoning and texture. The pork intestine skewer was also interesting and gave a chance to try something less common. The fish filet was enjoyable with good flavor, although it was not as crispy as I expected. The dishes overall leaned more toward savory and flavorful rather than being focused on heavy spice.

Some dishes were a little less consistent. The green beans were more fried than expected and the texture and seasoning were not as balanced compared to the stronger dishes. Since the menu covers a lot of different styles, some items stood out much more than others, so ordering a variety of dishes is probably the best way to experience the restaurant.

The portions make the restaurant a good value, especially for group dining where you can share several dishes. The pricing feels reasonable considering the amount of food you receive, and the menu has enough variety to make another visit interesting.

Overall, Northeast Eating Club is a good option for exploring Northeastern Chinese cuisine with flavors and dishes that are not as common elsewhere. I would come back for the skewers and to try more of the specialty dishes, especially when looking for a more unique Chinese dining experience.“

“DECEMBER-FOOD IS STILL GOOD… DELIVERY HASN’T CHANGED ORDER ARRIVES HOT, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS STILL GOOD… STILL AROUND 60.00 FOR FIVE THINGS…

11/22/22:
I stopped here after an appointment in the area, first time here, so I didn’t know what to expect.

STAFF: Gentlemen at the counter didn’t mind answering my questions or altering my food order, he was very nice and no attitude, It’s an open kitchen: you can see the chefs do everything while you wait

FOOD: Crab Rangoon, Boneless Spareribs, White Shrimp Fried Rice, Beef Teriyaki, and Spring Roll: No complaints on anything. Everything was demolished. 🤣

PRICE: MANY OF THE APPS/ENTREES HAVE BOGO OPTIONS, WORTH TAKING ADVANTAGE OF.

I LIKE THIS PLACE. MAYBE YOU WILL TOO.

UPDATE: BEEF TERIYAKI: EXCELLENT
GENERAL GAUS CHICKEN: OVERCOOKED CHICKEN
CHICKEN FINGERS: GOOD

SAME OL’ ORDER OTHERWISE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I ❤️ THIS PLACE… 🥰“

“We’ve been going to this Chinese food place for years. The reason is it’s higher quality that most other places around the food is quick to come out and the service is always great. They have a bathroom and it is accessible. The parking lot is huge and I’ve never seen it full so you have plenty of places to park you can enter through two roads. So it’s a quick In-N-Out. I’ve gotta say in all the years going there. I don’t think they’ve ever messed up my order although funny story back in the day when we went there years ago to eat inside which we used to do a lot I was cut off not from drinking alcohol but from drinking soda it’s a funny story that we still remember till this day. The guy was worried about my health and said three sodas is too much for you even back then when it was by the can and I was paying for each individual drink, but even eating inside is nice. They’ve always been very nice and accommodating.“

“If you’re craving a hotpot experience that hits every single note this one is a must. From the moment you walk in, the space feels warm, elegant, and perfect for a cozy, indulgent meal.
The real star? The broths.
The Wild Mushroom is rich, earthy, and deeply comforting, while the Spicy Premium Beef Tallow brings that bold, numbing heat that hotpot lovers dream about.

What I loved:
✨ Premium selection of meats & fresh seafood
✨ Broths that are layered, flavorful, and unforgettable
✨ The staff — incredibly attentive and they actually craft your sauces for you (and trust me, they know what they’re doing… chef’s kiss)

Every bite feels like an experience from dipping perfectly sliced meats into bubbling broth to pairing it with those addictive house-made sauces.“
