“From start to finish it was amazing. The drinks and food were delicious. Atmosphere was so unique and you felt like you were truly in another place. The bartender we had was so different than anyone we've ever met. His food and drink recommendations were spot on.“
“Feel like something's changed in the past year or so. The food doesn't seem as cared for and has lost some of it's charm. not sure if just a bad day or if the chef has changed but other way feeling a little sad. still tasty but not the WOW it was “
“I came here for birthday drinks with my girlfriends and I was amazed with their cocktails. The lychee martini is delicious! Probably best one I've had in Boston. Ambiance is hip and beautiful. Shout out to Bao for making us feel extra special that day ! Will definitely come back to try the food!“
“Got Mu Lan fillet fish, green beans, and fried pork chops. The food was very tasty, but I did feel that what I ordered felt a bit heavy. Recommend mulan for people who are looking for a filling and flavorful meal. I was there at 8PM and waited about 10 minutes to be seated.“
“Silk Road has become our family's go-to spot whenever we're craving something special. We've lost count of the number of times we've dined here, but every visit feels like a new adventure. We have tried almost everything on the menu and it never disappoints. And guess what? Our kids are totally into it too! Sure, some dishes can pack a bit of heat, but just give the server a heads up.The place is limited in space and they do not take reservations so sometimes it feels like a bit of a squeeze. But hey, that's part of the charm, right? Just be prepared for a bit of a tight squeeze, especially if you're rolling in with a big crew.Overall, Silk Road gets a big thumbs up from us. Whether you're a die-hard fan of Uyghur food or just looking for a fun family outing, this place won't disappoint.“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Happy Lamp Hot Pot, located in the vibrant heart of Central Square, and what an experience it was! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere promised a fun and engaging dining experience, and it certainly delivered. The hot pot itself was absolutely delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful, creating the perfect base for all the fresh and high-quality ingredients we could choose from. Whether you're a meat lover, seafood enthusiast, or vegetarian, there's something for everyone, and the adventure of cooking your food right at your table adds an exciting twist to the meal. What stood out to me, apart from the delectable food, was the sheer fun of the experience. Happy Lamp Hot Pot is the ideal spot for a group of friends or family looking to enjoy not just a meal, but a truly social and interactive dining experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, guiding us through the menu and making recommendations that enhanced our meal. The Central Square location is perfect for anyone looking to dive into the local culture and enjoy a lively dining scene. It’s easy to get to, and once you’re there, you’re in for a treat“
“The best dumplings I’ve ever had. My friend and I ordered seafood dumplings and we enjoyed it. We also had pork soup dumplings which was quite decent too. I recommend trying Dumpling House for the best food options if you’re in Cambridge area.“
“The inside of the restaurant is nice and welcoming. The staff are very friendly as well! I’ve ordered takeout from here 4 times now and honestly it’s become my exclusive go to and somewhere I consistently recommend to others. The food tastes just like the Chinese food I had as a kid in Europe that was fresh, authentic, and simply delicious. The egg fried rice (ask for no soy sauce), the volcano chicken, and the chicken in black bean sauce are no brainers (as in delicious and generous portions). The peking ravioli (only had steamed) is one of the better ones I’ve had in the Boston area too! Service is fast as well. Tasty, authentic, great portion size and service - what more can you ask for?“
“Cilantros is a great Chinese restaurant! You should definitely come here for lunch! The portions are a little bit on the smaller side, but the service is really good and the food taste really good. I highly recommend the shrimp with coconut sauce. The seating area is nice, but it doesn’t look anything to fancy. It’s just a good Chinese restaurant with good food, pretty casual.“
“I know ... 5 stars for a barebones/takeout Chinese restaurant? Seriously? YES - seriously. First of all, Chinese cuisine is incredibly varied. Szechuan, Hunan, Hakka, Hong Kong, and many others. I'm partial to northern Chinese, and the numerous Hong Kong-style joints may be popular, but they're just too mild for me. I need BOLD SPICING, and after trying many of the joints around town, I had all but given up. And then I found Qing Dao, which was like finding heaven. We ordered just 3 dishes: Chicken with Cabbage Dumplings, Mu Shi Chicken, and Eggplant Peking Style. Life changing: the eggplant. OMG. Bold spicing, not hot, but super-flavorful. I. Need. More. The dumplings were good, and the mu shu was very tasty. (One person in our party had a serious need for mu shu). Service: it was crazy-cold outside, and we asked for them to turn up the heat - which they did and it became toasty-warm in minutes. Service was A+! I don't give 5-stars easily. but this place truly deserved every one of them. I know we'll be back for more. Next time we'll order only from the "Northern Style" menu.“
“Happened to eat dinner here on Chinese New Year. I think the service was a bit slow due to the new year crowd, but I thought the food was excellent. It is a large place; it was not too noisy despite the crowd. We had soup, scallion pancakes, Beijing duck, Cumin beef, and a special fish dish from the New Year menu. It was my first time here. I'd certainly come again.“
