“This review is long overdue, but this is a great Thai small business to support. The place is cozy [with seasonal outdoor seating] and the staff is always warm. The Drunken noodles are my go-to and it is a generous portion of noodles AND protein...for the most part. I strongly discourage paying extra for extra protein as I paid $3 for EXTRA protein and received 3 small shrimp. This seems to be a trend as I have ordered DN at two other places and the extra fee was not reflected in the portion delivered. But Mae does deliver consistently outside of this.“

“Found this place on Google & Pinterest. So glad we gave it a try. The chicken corn soup was sweet and delicious, we had pork and cabbage dumplings, spring rolls, hot tea, fried rice and kimchi. It was all delicious. I don’t use chop sticks so they brought me a fork. Would highly recommend this place it was busy but we don’t have to wait long for a table and they had a steady line of to go orders going out as well.“

“It was our first time visiting Grandma’s Kitchen. We arrived 5 minutes early Friday evening and there was a short line already. There are only a handful of tables so it’s worth coming early to get seating right away.

We tried the popcorn chicken, bean curd, chicken cutlet, braised beef noodle, spicy wonton, and salted pork chop. The fried chicken dishes were definitely the standouts. The chicken cutlet was especially well seasoned and flavored. The beef noodle broth was also quite good. The spicy wontons were solid but didn’t wow me. The salted pork chop I thought was a little tough. I would order the fried chicken dishes and beef noodle again in a heartbeat but probably not the wontons or salted pork chop.

The service was on point and the server was very friendly. There atmosphere was very nice. It was relatively quiet and very open which was a nice change from many places that are super loud and pack people in like sardines.

Definitely worth a try and I look forward to coming back.“

“We were visiting from out of state and picked this restaurant bc all the reviews mentioned the people working there were nice and the food was good.
They 100% live up to that. They were super kind and the food was great. They were attentive, the plates were nicely presented with decorative flowers and the atmosphere is relaxed.

At the end when we got our check we ate our fortune cookies and mine said I would receive a large sum of money. We went to the casino and won $500! So not only was the food yummy but they are also a good luck charm 😜“

I am sure they are more careful with online orders. The biang biang noodles are so yummy, but watch out if you have blood sugar control issues. Carb BOMB. The food seems to be all very oily also but that's the nature of some of their most delicious offerings like chili oil splashed noodles. My kids always ask for House of Noodles whenever they come to town. They were born and raised in Hong Kong so have had their fair share of good noodles and this ranks right up there and makes them miss Hong Kong just a little less.“

“Morning Saigon has hands down the best Banh Mi sandwich in the area, and I've tried nearly all the vietnamese eateries around boston. The flavors and ingredients are more complex and better balanced than all the other banh mi Ive had. The vietnamese coffee are excellent too, strong and well balanced.

They take your order at the counter and make the banh mi and coffee in front of you with a lot of care. Heidi is very knowledgeable, thoughtful about recommendations, and genuinely friendly. Three visits, three great experiences.“

“First time I tried the claypot rice. Surprisingly good and big portion. We couldn’t finish the whole bowl. They have many choices from pork, beef or even quail. At the bottom of the pot will have sticky/ burnt rice. It tastes so good and crispy. Pricing is very affordable. The space is very small and kinda open with the kitchen next to it. So prepare that you will smell “food and very delicious” after walking out. The server is nice and attentive. Worth trying!“

The congee is so silky and smooth. It was delicious! The steam roll was fabulous that we ordered an extra one to go. Scallion pancake was nice and crispy. The barley lemongrass lemonade was interesting. I wasn’t expecting actual barley to be in there but it was. I only drank the liquid as I’m not a fan of mushy textures. Not sure what I was expecting but had I known it would be chunks of barley I probably would’ve opted for another beverage. The tongue bread is a shape of a tongue, hence the name. It was a dense bread with minimal flavor.

Casual ambiance with modern decor. Seating available for dining in and great food. I would definitely recommend this establishment and return when I’m in the area. Street parking only.“

“As someone who has had the privilege of dining at some extraordinary Chinese and Japanese restaurants around the world, from Hong Kong to Tokyo to Manhattan, I can say without hesitation that this is the finest Chinese and Japanese food in all of Massachusetts. The ingredients are exceptional, the preparation is thoughtful, and the consistency is remarkable. Restaurants like this are rare.

We even brought our chef Tracy here one evening. She’s worked in several Michelin-starred kitchens and spent years cooking in private estates and luxury hotels. And she was completely blown away. “Mi Soul is a great miso soup ramen, the pork is esp tender and generous.Ten Yum was solid, very simple(just noodle and shrimp) and was mild/medium spicy.Poke was good, fish was very clean tasting, and a good amount of rice. I only wish they had spicy mayo as an option, more Seaweed or furikake for crispyness, and a little more cabbage to go with the large amount of rice. Great to have the option given the other poke spots are about a mile away.“
