“Solid authentic Chinese spot with good texture on their hand pulled noodles and dumpling wrappers. Food is cooked fresh to order and delicious. I’d come back again, their menu has a lot of variety and has so many things I want to try. Definitely gets busy with take out orders and a good number of tables occupied on weekends.“
“Great Chinese food!
Everything is well seasoned, but not too salty.
My favorite is the Mala chicken, crispy almost caramelized shell is great.
If you order lunch specials online you won’t be prompted for the included appetizer. Be sure to order over the phone!“

“As someone who has had the privilege of dining at some extraordinary Chinese and Japanese restaurants around the world, from Hong Kong to Tokyo to Manhattan, I can say without hesitation that this is the finest Chinese and Japanese food in all of Massachusetts. The ingredients are exceptional, the preparation is thoughtful, and the consistency is remarkable. Restaurants like this are rare.
We even brought our chef Tracy here one evening. She’s worked in several Michelin-starred kitchens and spent years cooking in private estates and luxury hotels. And she was completely blown away. She kept commenting on the quality of the fish and the balance of the dishes, which says a lot coming from someone who cooks professionally at that level.“

“My go-to for local Chinese food. They are lightning quick and always friendly. Keeping it real: this is not the place for a romantic anniversary dinner. However, if what you want is a hot, delicious, filling meal (especially to-go) this is a sure bet.“

“Decided to walk through Allston on a grody, misty afternoon and look for some food. Walked in by chance and at my SO’s insistence that we give it a look. I loved everything about the aesthetic, and enjoyed the soft music playing in the background. Being able to choose the ingredients I wanted - knowing they were organic and that they looked more than delicious raw...that was the absolute best part. The gentleman at the front was supremely helpful and answered any question thrown at him - by anyone in the shop. The price was more than worth the amount of food received, and the care extended to us as guests was wonderful. I absolutely would recommend anyone to give this a try. Don’t hesitate to ask a question, you will definitely get an answer. :)“

“Excellent food and a very enjoyable meal at Kung Fu Kitchen! We tried several dishes and were very happy with everything we ordered.
The wonton soup was especially good. The wontons were large, with visible shrimp in each one, and the soup was loaded with fresh vegetables. Very satisfying and flavorful.
The chive pancake was another highlight—filled with chives, egg, glass noodles, and dried shrimp. It tasted authentic and was absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed the steamed and pan-fried dumplings.
The restaurant is clean, bright, and modern. Service wasn’t the greatest, but for this type of casual, fast-paced restaurant, it was totally acceptable.
Overall, the quality and authenticity of the food really impressed me. Definitely a 5/5, and I would happily come back!“

“We definitely enjoyed our meal! Pan seared pork bao and mala duck for appetizers. General Tso’s chicken and Grandma’s pork noodles for entrees. Good stuff! Kyle the bartender was awesome. We ate at the bar,“

“Found this place on Google & Pinterest. So glad we gave it a try. The chicken corn soup was sweet and delicious, we had pork and cabbage dumplings, spring rolls, hot tea, fried rice and kimchi. It was all delicious. I don’t use chop sticks so they brought me a fork. Would highly recommend this place it was busy but we don’t have to wait long for a table and they had a steady line of to go orders going out as well.“

“This place is legit! Our favorite was the double cooked pork. The only thing we didn’t like was the soup, which had too many peppers in it. But there are other things on the menu that we would like to try. I will eat here again!“

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.“

“We have a new office in Boston. So periodically I drive down from our main office to the Boston location and every time I do, I have resolved to try a new restaurant. This was today’s choice and it was SPECTACULAR! My server was fantastic. The food came out quickly and was insanely good. I didn’t know how big my stir-fried rice cake bowl would be so I ordered the sweet and sour pork loin to go with it. But the rice cake bowl was huge and tasted incredible. Lots of heat, lots of fresh prepared veggies and meat. 10/10 would recommend that dish. The pork tenderloin I tried and 10/10 would recommend it as well. The location is a bit small and that is literally the only nit I can pick. If you’re in this area, get some take out or eat in , you won’t regret it!!“

“Tried this restaurant based on the positive reviews and didn't have high expectations, but found the soup dumplings and noodles surprising good and quite authentic. The soup dumplings had a good amount of liquid inside and the pork was tasty, not dry. The rainbow dumplings all tasted pretty much the same, we couldn't distinguish the different flavors but they tasted very good. The beef noodles had a great flavor and a decent amount of protein and veg. The chili chicken was a bit disappointing however. It was quite dry and wasn't very spicy at all. The chili wontons were very good but again not spicy enough. We enjoyed the jelly dessert, just the right amount of sweetness for after dinner.
The one waiter that was working around 6pm on a Monday night was very efficient. There was some confusion about leaving out peanuts in our dishes but he corrected the problem with the kitchen without hesitation. The restaurant is bright and airy, very clean. Overall, we had a very good dining experience here and will definitely be coming back.“

“Great find, the best fried soup dumplings I've had so far. You can watch them making dumplings through the window. Always fresh and obviously hot from the stove and always delicious. Wontons in spicy sauce is also among my favorites. Hard to get inside table during busy hours but you can sit outside when it's nice out.“

“The food was much better than I was expecting. Despite being drenched in sauce, the crispy orange chicken was still very crispy. The Peking Ravioli was very good, it's great to see this piece of Massachusetts culinary history still on menus. The service was attentive, not friendly, but I'm paying for a server not a friend. Overall, 5 stars, and I think I will be back.“

“I visited on a weekday right when the place opened. It wasn’t very crowded at first, but it started filling up as time went on.
They currently have an All-You-Can-Eat deal, and I was pleased with it. The service was prompt and attentive, with quick water refills and speedy delivery of dishes. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations.
We sampled the Pork Belly, Pork, Beef, and Lamb, all of which were tasty and well-portioned for our group. We also tried the watercress, fried bean curd, silken tofu, quail egg, and noodles. While most items were standard, the noodles stood out as particularly good.
For appetizers, we had the pork dumplings and brown sugar rice cake. The pork dumplings were typical, but the brown sugar rice cake was a highlight—crispy and not overly sweet.
The sauce bar had a solid selection, including the usual options and a nice touch of chopped peanuts for added flavor.
There was also a dessert bar with ice cream and popsicles, which was a nice bonus.
The ambiance was quite pleasant, with unique chairs and a well-thought-out theme. The only minor issue was that the pot was a bit far from my seat, but that was more about my seating arrangement than anything else.
Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d definitely return.“

“Food is very good! good selection, ingredients are fresh, portion sizes are good. The menu doesn't have a lot of information on each dish, so you do have to ask for some of them, esp if you have a food allergy. There is a little language barrier as well. They presume you will use chop sticks, so you must ask for utensils which are plastic. the plates are paper plates, so it isn't fancy, but the food is good and service is relatively quick.
I had the vegetable Mala soup bowl. My wife had the wonton soup bowl. My mother had eggplant, and dunplings separate plates, with shared rice and scallion pancakes for the table. The Mala soup is quite spicey (Chili oil).
Parking is street parking in downtown area, so if you find the parking, pleasant downtown Brighton to walk through. Portion sizes were large and we took food home. I recommend for casual dining, not quite what I woild call fast food, but the layout and vibe feels that way.“

“I love the homemade noodles, pretty stretchy and firm. The flavor is also good and deep, it's just too salty. I ate one bowl of noodles feeling like I was eating 1 full bowl of salt. Next time if I come here I'll definitely ask to lower the salt to 1/5 of what they're putting in“

“Pleasantly surprised! The place was actually quite busy on a Friday afternoon. First caveat.. if you do not like lamb do not go here. There was a distinct lamb smell in the air because...lamb is really their specialty! We tried a few things.. beef and lamb, and by far the lamb was better. The noodles were the highlight, great texture and unlimited length! My comment makes it kind of funny that the noodles were harder to eat in my stir fry because it was one big noodle. Funny problem to have. Anyways I'll be back to try more stuff!“

“This is easily my new favorite in Brookline. The rice is cooked very well, with a crispy layer around the edges of the clay pot that’s lightly browned and crunchy which is exactly what you want to look for in clay pot rice. Sue recommended mixing the beef brisket with Chinese sausage into the rice, and it was amazing. The vibe is cozy and casual, great for a relaxed dinner, and the prices are a genuinely great value for the quality and portion size. This place has been open about a year now and deserves way more attention, highly recommend!“

“Just amazing as usual! We had Elaine as our server and that warm smile brightened our rain soaked day so much! Not only was she very knowledgeable but sooooo personable. The food was fantastic as usual.
While speaking to the manager Freddie, who also has a wonderful smile, he made my mother and I feel like we were at home and not just any old people at a restaurant. Wonderful experience all around!“

“Came outside peak hours and had a pretty relaxed meal. The bilingual menu descriptions were fun. We ordered three meat dishes, and while everything was solid, nothing really stood out. It felt a little pricey at the end, though I’m not sure if that’s just the going rate for Chinese food in Somerville. Sichuan Cuisine in Watertown is still my favorite.“

“This place is so good. Best Uyghur food I’ve had in New England. We tried 6 entrees and enjoyed all of them. The only thing we weren’t a fan of were the dumplings and samosas because they’re very cumin forward. We received our food really quickly as well. If you’re looking for a halal Asian food spot check them out“

“My daughter & I went to Wei’s Restaurant for the first time…we were craving Lobster Ginger Scallion and they had a great twin lobster special so we chose Wei’s…It was a Monday and our usual place was closed….Im so happy we found Wei’s!!!!! We had amazing spring rolls that were so fresh and light crunchy and delicious! The best I ever had! Then we got the Peking Ravioli and they were also homemade! Not those regular hard ones they were like pillows of dough wrapped around a very tasty filling! Again the best I ever had! We had a couple of excellent cocktails and the Lobster Ginger Scallion did not disappoint! You can choose from the list of different cooking styles for your twin lobsters as well! The owner was so helpful and sweet I cannot wait to go back! Well done Wei’s!“

“We had a great meal at Fuchun Ju and would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for excellent Chinese food in Boston.
We tried several varieties of soup dumplings, the scallion pancakes, and the Peking duck. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. The standout for us was the scallion pancakes—they were wonderfully flaky, crisp on the outside, and absolutely delicious. The Peking duck was also excellent, and we really enjoyed the smaller soup dumplings.
The only dish that wasn’t a favorite was the large pork and crab soup dumpling. It was very well made, but the crab flavor was stronger than we expected and overpowered the pork for our taste. If you enjoy a pronounced crab flavor, you may love it.
One tip: the large soup dumplings take about 25 minutes to prepare, so be sure to order them as soon as you sit down if you plan to try them.
The restaurant is located in a nice area that’s easy to find, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Overall, we had a very enjoyable dining experience and would happily return to try more of the menu.“

“Thank you Alan and Lotus Xpress for catering my husband's surprise 50th birthday party. Alan, you were wonderful to work with during the planning process- providing options and tending to all the details. The food was AMAZING! Delicious and a great variety. The day of the event, it was such a relief to have you there- catering to our 75 guests. As the host of the party, it gave me great ease knowing you were tending to the buffet and I was able to relax and tend to the guests! The food made the event. Thank you for helping make the event a success!“

“The dumplings were really yummy and fresh. Our noodle soups were okay, nothing impressive though. I liked the flavor of my sour and spicy broth. It was yummy to try hand pulled noodles though hated how much they stuck together. Crab rangoons and egg rolls were really average here.“

“This review is long overdue, but this is a great Thai small business to support. The place is cozy [with seasonal outdoor seating] and the staff is always warm. The Drunken noodles are my go-to and it is a generous portion of noodles AND protein...for the most part. I strongly discourage paying extra for extra protein as I paid $3 for EXTRA protein and received 3 small shrimp. This seems to be a trend as I have ordered DN at two other places and the extra fee was not reflected in the portion delivered. But Mae does deliver consistently outside of this.“

“Got a combination plate and it’s easily enough for two and under 20 bucks. The chicken fingers were perfectly cooked and the correct ratio of chicken to batter 🙌. Chicken wings were very tender, and they don’t skimp at all on the chicken and broccoli. Service was efficient, quick, and kind. Will definitely return here and try some different things.“

“We tried Kozy Kitchen while visiting Boston and it ended up being a really nice surprise. We ordered the beef noodle soup and xiao long bao, and both were seriously good, honestly better than a lot of places we’ve tried in Boston’s Chinatown.
