Thank you to Chef Jon for allowing us to pick up a package of frozen dumplings during our visit to Artifact on Memorial Day. Cooked them up tonight and they were delicious, as was the edamame salad!!
Wonderful place. You enter through the brewery, but the vibe inside is all its own. Great staff and great food.
Mimi’s Chūka Diner is an absolute gem in Somerville! The menu's unique take on Chūka Ryōri (Japanese-style Chinese cuisine) is fantastic across the board. The chicken karaage is the absolute star of the show. It comes out ridiculously crispy on the outside, insanely juicy on the inside, and seasoned to absolute perfection.

Mimi’s Chūka Diner is a fantastic and cozy restaurant built into the back of a brewery. The food is amazing and delicious, with many satisfying meals. Highlights include the crispy and delicious pork and cabbage gyoza, the perfect and deeply flavorful cucumber salad, the Ebi with a side of white rice, and the utsunomiya gyoza. A nod is also given to the perfect fries. The crew is super friendly and nice, and the unpretentious location is not huge. It is a delightful place with nothing quite like it in the area, and many customers plan to return.
