The food and the service .
We can here at 1am. They have two doors that can be used. One Is for fresh live seafood and one is for take out orders. We got the Ipswich Whole Clam dinner and Fisherman's Platter, then waited 10 minutes for it. The two items were Lightly Breaded , Crispy , and Tasted fresh. The scallops, clams , and haddock had so much favor. They came with crispy fries and coleslaw on the side. Coleslaw had a balance of textures. The sauce didn't over power the veggies. Burke’s Seafood is a wonderful family business, one of the best left in our day and age. It is a seafood market and also a restaurant, offering fresh cooked food and a great selection. The price is very very reasonable for the quality. Service is friendly, with a warm family business vibe. The owner is often there. The restaurant is clean and cheerful, with tons of parking in the back.
A first-time visitor had a craving for fish and chips and found Burke’s was just what the doctor ordered. Another customer enjoyed the fried haddock sandwich and clam belly roll, which were both good, up with the best. The rolls are undersized for the generous pile of clams or hunk of haddock. Good onion rings. The cole slaw servings are typically small, but fine. One guest enjoyed a cooked Salmon meal, giving it 5 stars for being absolutely delicious. Another remembers a wonderful meal of lobster from 2010, still spoken of fondly. The restaurant is in a small traditional business area in North Quincy, with lots of interesting shops nearby.
