“We happened to be in Orleans and decided to grab an early dinner at The Barley Neck. We started with a dozen raw oysters and a bottle of French Chardonnay. The oysters were so fresh and delicious we ordered a second dozen. My husband had a lobster pasta dish for his entree and I had a Thai style tuna steak. Both were delicious, but a special thumbs up for the tuna. It was without a doubt the BEST tuna steak I’ve ever had! We finished with the pineapple upside down cake special! O.M.G. Everything was consistently amazing. The service was attentive and welcoming! From beginning to end the experience as a whole was on point! 10 out of 10!“

“Love that some tables are for reservations, and some tables are saved for walk-ins. Such a good, evenhanded policy. The food is always reliable, delicious, and presented to appeal. Service is always pleasant and professional. Our Go-To place“

“Visiting the Cape from West Coast and tried Drifters. Simply put, this is a great place. Pre-dinner drinks in bar were top notch. Menu has typical dishes with unique and high end twist. Fresh oysters and short rib pasta were so delicious. Highly recommend.“

“We were in the Cape for the week. We got to try the Oysters and Lobster Roll at Elwood’s. The oysters were amazing and the Lobster Roll was by far the best we had all week and we had several since we don’t get fresh seafood in Colorado.lol“

“For an unparalleled dining experience on Cape Cod, look no further than this distinguished restaurant, where the elegant dining room overlooks Nantucket Sound, creating a sensation akin to dining on a luxury cruise ship amidst the majestic ocean swells of Dennis. The exceptional cuisine is further enhanced by the Omakase, a carefully selected array of five seasonal small plates prepared by the chef, utilizing only the freshest, locally sourced, and organic ingredients. #summah2024 #oceanhouseresturant #omakase see photo captions for cuisine details.“

“The carrot hummus was delicious with fresh veggies and house-made pita for dipping. Bread rolls were great with a nice spiced butter. Good clam chowder if you like smoky bacon. Orzo salad was tasty. Loved the cod catch of the day (though the bean, squid and sausage side was bizarre).“

“Ashamed to say I finally dined at Viera tonight for the first time. SO glad I did! Perfection on all 3 counts: food, service and ambience! Absolutely everything is made in house and all was divine. Extremely reasonable pricing for exceptional quality. Putting it into our rotation for date night. And did I mention price fixe menu every evening all evening ( except only till 6 on Saturday)?“

“A great place with great food and friendly service. The lobster bisque is the best I’ve ever had. The grilled lobster and cheese sandwich is to die for. I’ve had grilled swordfish here and always cooked to perfection. For the quality and quantity of food, the prices are really reasonable. I’ll be back!“

“We had a party of six and I am always a little concerned when I see tons of available reservations on open table for a particular restaurant. But in this case, I think it's just a matter of people maybe not wanting to go to a golf club restaurant that may be considered a little harder to get to. We sat outside on a beautiful summer evening and had wonderful drinks, appetizers, and our main meals were exceptional. Really no complaints whatsoever.“

“First time dining here and overall it was a mixed experience. The appetizers were definitely the highlight of the meal. We ordered the calamari, clam chowder, hummus, and jalapeño bread, and all of them were delicious.
Unfortunately, our main courses were quite disappointing. I ordered the cod, and it was not very good. The fish itself lacked flavor, and the sauce served with it was not appealing and really took away from the dish.
I don’t have any other complaints. Definitely pricey. The service and atmosphere were pleasant, and the appetizers alone were worth mentioning. I’d come back to try other menu items, but I would skip the cod next time.“

“Went for the first time today, even though I live in town and wow it is such a spectacular restaurant. From the service to the decor to the food to the drinks and oh my God, we all agreed the toffee cake dessert was one of the most delicious desserts we’ve ever had. Absolutely five stars.“
