“Red Pepper was a good find for authentic Chinese food. We enjoyed the minced beef egg drop soup mushroom soup, called Westlake beef soup in other Chinese restaurants. We loved the dry braised fish fillet and lamb with scallions. However, we did not enjoy the twice-cooked pork bell/bacon. It was bland, too fatty, and lacked much flavor. Bok choy was light and delicious. The service was fast and friendly, and they gave us a pot of tea as soon as we were seated. You also get a discount if you pay cash.“

“Finally REAL CHINESE FOOD with actual homemade duck sauce! I haven't found one Chinese place I like in NC. Their noodles are so different and their duck sauce is always in a packet! Dope barbeque down south but they definitely lack on the seafood and Chinese! This is my personal favorite Chinese place“

I usually go for my standard order of the beef and broccoli combo and the owner has had no issues making accommodations for me when I’ve asked for them. “It looks good but it lacks flavor. It's ehhh... ok. I probably wouldn't order it again. Everything had a very faint flavor... like spraying perfume on a little sampler card and then walking around with the card to try to smell good... ?‍♀️I probably liked the crab Rangoon the best but I will stick to Wen Hing even though they went down hill too. Mins Wok is also good.
