The food there is always good.. as is the case with any Panera I've ever been to, but the service could have been better. I don't like that you can walk in with no one in the restaurant and stand there for a very long time because they're filling call aheads, etc. I realize this is not the only chain that has adopted this practice, but it's insanely frustrating when you just show up and expect to be taken care of because you're actually standing there. Panera Bread in Pembroke is absolutely wonderful. The team makes you feel so welcome—both the manager and the whole crew are always smiling. And being part of the rewards program is also really awesome—you save a good amount of money, especially since I drink so much coffee. And I have to say, they have the best bagels I’ve ever had.
