“The only reason I’m giving this place 5 stars is because of the hard working lady that works there. I’ve yet to get her name but she’s always wearing a hijab and a face mask. Every time I go into this store I see her running the front by herself. She greets everybody consistently and gets the job done while everyone else is talking to each other. Would definitely recommend to come in while she’s there.“

“Great food but lately El Jefe's is taking a hit on bad reviews due to @GrubHub's poor ordering system with algorithm issues which I have brought to their attention, and seems they still haven't fixed since I placed an order months prior. On 3 separate occasions on the same date and time I received my order incorrect. When I compared the order from my GrubHub account against the receipt received from El Jefe's, it was determined I was missing many items from my burrito bowl. I contacted GrubHub in which they kept refunding me, and I also mentioned the issue. I ordered El Jefe's 2 more times and the same error occurred both times. I could see once they mess up the order due to reading it wrong but not 3x. El Jefe's only puts an order together based on the ordering slips they receive from GrubHub, so if something is off with GrubHub's ordering system that is what the restaurant is receiving and thus creating the order from. As much as these food delivery services are ripping off these restaurants, they got a nerve to make the restaurant take accountability for their mess ups and ordering errors. They're already scamming these vendors out of $$$ and continue to affect these companies in a negative manner. Time for these vendors to go back to the old delivery ways and cut the greedy middle man! These good delivery services are a total rip off with their high fees, whacked discounts that don't add up, and lack of customer service.“

“This has always been one of my go-to places, and I’ve loved coming here for years. Unfortunately, today’s visit was really disappointing and left a sour taste.
I was there to celebrate my partner’s birthday and mentioned that to our server, Jenny M, but it went completely unacknowledged. The restaurant was empty — we were the only guests — so I expected great service, but it was honestly the opposite.
She got my order wrong, and I had to call her over several times before she finally came to the table, rolling her eyes as she did. When I politely mentioned the appetizer mistake, she took the plate and, as she walked away, said, “What? Are you allergic to chicken?” — even though my main dish was chicken. The comment felt rude and unnecessary.
We’ve been loyal customers for years and chose this restaurant for a special occasion, but the service made it feel like a mistake. Even small gestures like turning the music up — something we’ve always enjoyed about the atmosphere — were ignored. We eventually played music from our phones just to lighten the mood.
This experience was really disappointing, especially knowing how great this place can be. I hope management addresses this, because loyal guests like us truly value the restaurant and want to see it live up to its usual standards.“

Overall . After eating here multiple times, every single dish has been great, with flavors that suggest they actually made most (if not all) of the dishes from scratch. They even serve breakfast. Most importantly, the service is always friendly and welcoming - you'll definitely want to return again and again.

“Definitely a younger bar crowd at night. Atmosphere was lively and loud. Grabbed a table for drinks and dinner. Staff was very nice and food and drinks were good. Music volume was an 11 out of 10. Almost impossible to talk without yelling into someone's ear. Turn volume down to an 8 out of 10 and place would be perfect“

I have also come for lunch and have tried their quesadillas as well which were also delicious. It is pricey and it’s a set amount of items per order, like minimum 2 tacos etc, so I don’t frequent. I find myself going to Tenoch Mexican more often because of flexibility in terms of ordering items separately etc.“

The owner, who I believe was also running the place, was incredibly friendly and served us with genuine warmth and hospitality. We ordered classic Pakistani dishes, and the chef also Pakistani prepared them right in front of us, which made the experience even more special. The flavors were just like back home, and after five days of traveling, I finally got to enjoy a sip of proper desi-style chai and I absolutely loved it!
