The menu while simple, is expected for a bagel shop. Breakfast sandwhiches are good. I haven’t explored second half of the menu, but I’m sure it’s good.

The only thing lacking is a sitting space that isn’t taken up but the same regulars who have a shouting match over each other while trying to converse in a large group. It’s fun though.“

The Palestinian bread and the flatbread with the green topping (forget what it's called) is a family favorite. We adore these; the flatbreads are a great quick lunch. Small bakery in East Somerville, not the easiest to get to, but at least that means there won’t be a big queue!

I tried their almond croissant and their baguette. The baguette was superb: crispy, the perfect amount of chewiness, honestly I was transported back to Paris. Extremely authentic.

The almond croissant was very good (and beautiful!) One small criticism which prevents this from reaching 5 stars: I felt like the almond paste could have been more flavourful, and the croissant itself could have been slightly crispier. But still overall solid.“

Colette Bakery in Melrose has some of the best pastries around! I’m a sucker for chocolate croissants, and the Cho-colette croissant at Colette is so delicious (pro tip, take the croissant home and toss in the air fryer to warm the pastry!)

Buttery but light and flaky, cooked just right - understated perfection in a bag! I grew up in France, and this is honestly one of the best French pastries I have had in 28 years living in the US. They have great coffee in generous sizes, excellent breakfast options (ham and cheese croissants, breakfast sandwiches), and yummy baked goods. They had the cutest sugar-decorated shortbread cookies this week! The space itself is pretty small, not a lot of seating, but some nice window spots if you can get them. The staff are so friendly and helpful!“

“I love When Pigs Fly bread! My favs are the Oat and Honey, 6 Grain and Pumpkin Seed, and basically any of the sweet breads! The English Muffin loaf is good too.

The staff are all super kind and helpful. I saw some negative reviews on here that find fault with the service, and to them I say: hello? Are you okay? If you can’t get through a bread order (which should be a simple, short interaction I’d say??) without beefing with a staff member, I invite you to consider that *you* might be the problem. :)“
