““Pure Pastry” was highly recommended by “Cakes for Occasions” because they couldn’t make a Vegan cake. So I called and asked Kim to make my son who is a Vegan an all Vegan birthday cake. We were all pleasantly surprised at how delicious and moist his chocolate cake was with vanilla cream frosting with strawberries in the middle and on top was. Five people ate this cake and we all loved the taste. It looked beautiful too. Another thing I also love about this bakery is the cake box. The cake fit in the box very nicely and on the top you could see the cake through a see through film which was an elegant touch. My son’s cake was so good that I had to order a Vegan strawberry vanilla cake for my birthday too. I can’t wait to get it. Kim is so very friendly and such a nice person and she is very easy to get a hold of on the phone. I very highly recommend Kim and “Pure Pastry” for all of your pastry needs.“

“I came early on a Daturday morning, around 8/8:30. The large parking lot was nearly empty and very few other customers which was nice. Down side was that a couple of the types of bread were not ready yet and I was not willing to wait, so keep that in mind. They have some other types of rolls laid out on a table that aren't listed on their website and I wished I had picked up but was having decision paralysis in the moment and couldn't decide what else to buy other than my original planned kalamata olive loaf. The bread comes in brown bags so you should plan to bring a gallon ziploc or some other storage if you need to travel with it. They have a good selection of pastries as well. The staff was very nice and friendly. I would definitely make a pit stop if I am driving by or through the area!“

“The pastries have all been fantastic, and reflects the quality of ingredients and skill of the staff. The shop is tucked away but has plenty of free parking.

Some of my favorite treats: The fruit and custard tart. The filling was perfectly sweetened and smooth, and the fruit was very fresh tasting. Also the maple cinnamon buns. This picture is of their fruit tart and a muffin.“

“I received a WONDERFUL and DELICIOUS surprise!!! I live in San Antonio TX and my sweet aunt and uncle wanted to send us a sweet treat for Christmas. We received a dozen of your amazing Whoopie Pies. The were shipped and came in INCREDIBLE condition and cold!! We received a variety and what I love about them is the cake is SUPER moist with the cream being fluffy and having just the right amount of sweetness! Note to the first reviewer below: If the cookie is called burnt sugar and fennel shortbread, you certainly should expect to find fennel in the cookie! If you don't want fennel, don't order cookies that have fennel in their names.“

“I've been coming here since they opened and never been disappointed. I usually get a half-dozen/dozen bagels and/or a couple smoothies and it's become somewhat of a tradition on Sundays.

Very kind and efficient staff that run the place like a well-oiled machine. It gets quite busy, and the parking situation could be better, but it is a testament to how popular and delicious everything is.

“We got our first loaf of this bread yesterday from tender crop farm. The man who was advertising this bread was very informative and helpful when we picked our perfect loaf. He was very proud of this company and his wife! He spoke so highly of her and was excited to show off her picture on the top of the bread shelf. Today we grilled the bread, my daughter had hers with Nutella and i had mine with eggs over easy. DELICIOUS. 10/10 recommend. We will try sour dough next!“

“Colby Farms Sunflower fields are amazing! I went with my husband and granddaughter today. It was surreal! There was an apron of 3 acres of thousands of brightly sunlit sunflowers. I couldn’t have envisioned what we saw…. It was an experience that I couldn’t have ever imagined. We definitely will revisit again. Through the years we have visited the store before and after sunflower weekend and loved everything about it. Loved the produce and found unique little gifts. Lots of photo ops also… at the store, on old tractors and in and around the fields.“

“The bagels here are excellent, and everything there is at a great price point for breakfast food. I enjoy them just as much as Abraham's in Newburyport. I only wish they would open a little sooner. I often get there at 7AM to find it not open yet. Hopefully if they get more business they will want to open earlier.“

“Gluten Free Chocolate Chip cookies! That's the one thing my wife wants me to let you know. We were fortunate to stop here while traveling through. We got a few coffees, crescents (not GF) and cookies. After we drove away my wife started raving about how amazing the GF Chocolate Chip cookies were. She told me several times they were the best she ever had and wished that we had gotten more. I had a bite (even though I love gluten in my cookies) and I have to admit they were great. Thanks for a great treat! My wife's only regret is that we were traveling (11 hours away) and we won't be in the area again to get some more. If you stop by, be sure to eat a GF cookie for her!“

“We recently hired Googans to cater for a celebration of life. We kept it simple with a cheese and veggie platter, sandwiches and sweets- finger food. Everything was absolutely delicious! People were raving about how good the sandwiches and desserts were. I absolutely recommend for catering and also to stop in their shop for breakfast and/or lunch. “It's bittersweet because the food is great and almost everyone that works there is polite except for the girl that wears the headphones in the pink sweatshirt at the Middleton place. she always has an attitude. she always has a look on her face like I shouldn't be here and I'm better than everybody. never says please never says thank you never responds to you when you say thank you.
