“I am a huge fan of key lime pie and have sampled it at pretty much every opportunity. Each time, I find something that isn’t an A+. The crust is too grainy or crumbly, the bakery has added meringue (which I like on lemon but not lime), or—and this is the most common offender—there is entirely too much lime in the recipe. But the key lime pie I had at Caramel was exceptional in every possible way, especially in its balance of lime flavor. I didn’t try anything else there, so I can’t vouch for the macarons or other goodies, but if you love key lime pie, RUN to this bakery!“

“Do not miss this spot if you are visiting Salem. We had treats from our Air B&B which caused us to go in person. Everything was lovely, delicious and fresh. Customer service was fantastic. We had croissants, a bagel sandwich, fresh bread, the most amazing cookies and, my favorite, the spinach and leek puff with everything seasoning. The coffee was great too. Thanks so much!“

“Probably the only place in the area that actually uses a fresh fried egg! I’ve tried every single other coffee shop in Salem and Crave remains my favorite by a longshot. They use actually quality ingredients (not a microwave) and compared to other coffee shops, are actually quite reasonable for the area. Service is always friendly too :)“

“Not too bad of a place to PU or deliver. No overnight parking on site. I got there early for my pickup and had to wait about an hr then got a dock and was out in less than a hr. The backing can be a little tight depending on which dock u get. But it's not too bad.“

The pastelitos were so amazingly fresh and delicious, and he made my Mango smoothie with a whole fresh mango! The flan was out of this world, and my friends Caramel Cake tasted like heaven! Even the french fries we got were fantastic! The gentleman who helped us (I'm guessing it was one of the owners) was so incredibly friendly, he definitely made two more local customers! We can't wait to try slices of his other cakes,as well as the other items listed on his menu! Great amount of food for the price as well! All around, a great guy, a great business!“

“I was visiting for the week and came to get my better than hotel coffee every morning. By the third morning I was recognized and the girl at the counter knew what I was ordering. Great coffee, great service, and very friendly staff. I wish I could have stayed in town longer if just to keep coming for my morning coffee! Thanks for a great addition to my trip“
