“Go there 4 or 5 times a week. Food is exceptional and HEALTHY. Everything is fresh. Fast service. Comfortable setting and recently remodeled. Prepared food to go with a special every day. Prices reasonable. Friendly atmosphere. At least a solid 5. And prices are fair.“
“Cute place, not as stylish as some city cafes, but that highlights that the focus is the food not the look. Every single food thing here is phenomenal. They're known for impeccable breads, though coincidentally the pastries are flawless, and the croissants aren't even too "bready". They rotate their selection-- we get about 12-14 items maybe once a month, and every single one is a knockout every time. Their coffee is also very good. The only improvement would be the service. I think there hasn't been a single time I've gone where they've actually gotten our large order right. Most recently, two bacon egg and cheeses were left off the receipt and just never made. This didn't detract from my rating though. The service is still kind and quick and the food quality more than makes up for it.“
“This is a nice museum cafe. There are several food items, including croissants. And various coffee items. I had a regular coffee and a croissant in the spacious central area of the museum and it felt great in the middle of my visit to the museum. Recommended.“
“Root provided a delicious dinner for 35 which I ordered but actually it was twice as much as needed (great leftovers) and absolutely delicious ....a great variety so that every varied individual - the gluten-free the non-gluten-free; the vegan, the non-vegan; the dairy free, the cheese.overs .... you name it everyone was satisfied and delighted!. Thank you so much Caleb and Sam and Chris and the teen chefs for helping make our big family gathering completely savory and sweet!.“
“This location on Boston st is not the same as the one downtown - it is confusing because some folks have uploaded pictures of the center st one by mistake. This location has the yummy bread, coffee, and pastries but no seating, the hours are different, and no hot food options like the paninis, sandwiches, etc. Parking is much easier. Come here if you want to buy the bread, go to the other location if you want the cafe experience and hang out.“
“This place is heaven! The man behind the counter was super sweet and helpful with explaining the desserts. The atmosphere is welcoming, and I loved sitting at the bar facing the window, it made for great people watching. I ordered a café mocha, which was sublime, and the desserts were amazing. I can’t wait to go again!“
“Went here once and I really enjoyed it, I'll actually be back! Just wanted to stop in somewhere and get a drink or two, going out is kind of new for me. Sat at the bar, ended up getting a drink called Starry Night (cmon can you blame me! the name is beautiful!), Blue Velvet, and some type of beer that tasted like grapefruit drink that was ordered for me. Blue Velvet was my favorite :) it's in the photo. The bartender was just as sweet as the drink and even shared how the foam was made. All around it was a great time in Salem and it definitely made walking around Salem slightly more fun after getting my buzz on lol“
“Stopped by on a cold and rainy day in beautiful Salem and found this little jewel. Great food and very generous drink for a great price. The staff, especially Rachel, who was our bartender, were so incredibly kind and really made me feel right at home! Thank you so much!“
“The ambiance of this place was super cute, with a dim interior and purple lighting in the evening. We tried two of their four matcha flavors (the Blossom Matcha and the Brown Sugar Matcha) and both were delicious! The drinks were a bit overpriced for what you get, but overall worth it for the experience of hanging out in the cafe for a few hours chatting.“
“A great spot to grab a breakfast bite! Their sandwiches are yummy and their tots are crunchy deliciousness! Highly recommend any of their baked treats and coffee too.Dietary restrictions: They have a gluten free option for bread and you can have any of the sandwiches over tater tots instead!“
