“Went in for breakfast today and picked up the cake for my fiances birthday. They were super busy, but the staff got everyone through quickly. Coffee and breakfast sandwiches were tasty, loved the bagels. We cut the cake tonight, it was moist and delicious. I barely got a pic because my sweetie was so anxious to cut into it. Thank you!Second visit was just as amazing. I had the Hot Cubano and strawberry paczki. Highly recommend!“

At that moment I felt like that, but as explained by the attendant, it wasn't what I was feeling. I have always received very good service at this establishment. It was just a noise of communication in the language and I will continue to frequent the environment. I am correcting my assessment of the establishment.“
“Cute place, not as stylish as some city cafes, but that highlights that the focus is the food not the look. Every single food thing here is phenomenal. They're known for impeccable breads, though coincidentally the pastries are flawless, and the croissants aren't even too "bready". They rotate their selection-- we get about 12-14 items maybe once a month, and every single one is a knockout every time. Their coffee is also very good. The only improvement would be the service. I think there hasn't been a single time I've gone where they've actually gotten our large order right. Most recently, two bacon egg and cheeses were left off the receipt and just never made. This didn't detract from my rating though. The service is still kind and quick and the food quality more than makes up for it.“
“I wandered in at 7am on a whim while the rest of the block was still waking up. Staff was busy prepping for the day but made me a delicious Americano to warm me up while I finished exploring Salem. Cool place, cool vibes, cooler people. Great coffee!“
“We ordered breakfast sandwiches over the phone for our millwright crew while in town for plant maintenance. The staff were extremely friendly & very fast with the breakfast sandwiches we ordered, they were ready as soon as I literally walked in the door! They have a small cozy atmosphere that I'm excited to bring my wife back to enjoy together. The sandwiches were some of the best we've had in a while. My croissant was very light & airy, yet not too flaky at all. The bacon was crispy, the cheese wasn't too hot and the egg was cooked perfectly! The guys enjoyed their bagels and we couldn't shut up about how delicious everything was. We will definitely be back the next time we're in town for outage season!“
“Love the ham/egg/cheese breakfast sandwich and ham and cheese lunch. Best cappuccino I've ever found. Desserts are sinfully good. Ingredients are always fresh, store is always clean and service is wonderful. I try to visit at least twice per week.“
“My husband and I stopped in to grab a coffee before we hit up Logan to fly home. We met Duchess a super rad doggo, and some pretty neat humans too. I had the brown sugar toffee iced latte. 14 out of 10 would absolutely recommend. I don’t know when I will make it back to Salem. However, when I do, Spells Coffee Shop & Market has made the list for a return trip! Thank you for fueling a day full of travel.“
“Had a couple of drinks while passing through Salem. Def on the sweet side (not a big fan). Loved being able to order through the machines without standing in line (great for folks with that type of anxiety). They have a cozy room with sound proofing that makes it easier to get some work done, however it was a Sunday afternoon for us and it got quickly crowded with chatter.“

“The ambiance of this place was super cute, with a dim interior and purple lighting in the evening. We tried two of their four matcha flavors (the Blossom Matcha and the Brown Sugar Matcha) and both were delicious! The drinks were a bit overpriced for what you get, but overall worth it for the experience of hanging out in the cafe for a few hours chatting.“
“Simply an amazing place. All kinds of coffees both hot and cold and other drinks. We didn’t eat there but the menu looked to be mighty tasty and from the line of folks ordering I have to say they were good also.So we had a variety of coffees - I had a hot drip with blueberry, chocolate and I can’t remember what else and it was delightful. My wife had the exact same thing but cold. We certainly will stop there next year when we return to Salem.“
