“Been to two, Georgetown & Manchester by the Sea. Both updated, spotless, safe fare. Yet, the Manchester, MA store spells magic on every visit. Quality of help and friendliness of patrons, young and older make this a favoured oasis of the North Shore. Each person is treated as special here and by other merchants. That is what distinguishes MBTS as the best small town in Massachusetts.“
“The ice cream is absolutely amazing. My fiancé favorite flavor is Ritzy AF mine is definitely the peanut butter Oreo. Every time we go in the servers are always awesome. Sophia was amazing help with recommending me a new flavor to try.Kid-friendliness: Awesome with kids!“
“I first found Beantrust after moving to the North Shore. Erik, the owner, is incredibly warm and welcoming and he made me feel right at home! His staff is great too. They make delicious coffee, chai and matchas and the bakery treats are out of this world. The cardamom buns are my favorite! It's such a great addition to the Beverly community.“
“This has been my favorite new spot since they opened. The ice coffee is amazing and the staff so warm and welcoming . I accidentally left my wallet there today and they found me and reached out to me. I’m so grateful they went above and beyond . 10/10 recommend them ❤️“
“I always stop by here when I'm in Salem or passing by. Great atmosphere, delicious pastries (coconut lemon mojito scone and/or savory chive scones are the best), and obviously amazing coffee. Everybody is super warm and welcoming. Definitely check it out if you're in the area!“
“Kind of a love hate thing here. Their food is good-great. Their coffee is amazing. Their wait staff is sometimes nice but also kind of like folks at a yoga studio. There is a lot going on here. The interior is cute. I can't decide if it is worth the general moodiness. But also, people get to have feelings. And it is a nice place.“
“Literally cannot stress enough how this is the best coffee in the area... maybe even the North East. Any time I have to leave town I get upset because I wont be able to have my usual vanilla cappuccino from the best staff around. We are SPOILED! 5 stars is not a high enough rating.“
“Went in for breakfast today and picked up the cake for my fiances birthday. They were super busy, but the staff got everyone through quickly. Coffee and breakfast sandwiches were tasty, loved the bagels. We cut the cake tonight, it was moist and delicious. I barely got a pic because my sweetie was so anxious to cut into it. Thank you!Second visit was just as amazing. I had the Hot Cubano and strawberry paczki. Highly recommend!“
“The Northshore breakfast sandwich is purely addicting and has become my occasional goto. However, I do feel that they get their counter staff from the RMV reject pile. If I'm paying $18 for a really good breakfast sandwich and a very average cold brew, I do not think it's too much to ask for a smile and to be thanked for my business. I was standing with three other customers and we were all in agreement.“
“My husband and I were driving through the area and stopped in for breakfast. This restaurant was excellent. The staff and local patrons were so friendly. The food was amazing. If they sold T-shirts, I’d buy one! We give it a 12 out of 10. Highly recommend.“
“Our meal was delicious, the broth tasted like it took 2 weeks to make! The portions are great, wonderful staff and excellent food. Make sure to order the Fried Rice, the egg was cooked perfectly and the Bulgogi was cooked well.Kid-friendliness: Our 4 yr old son was with us and he enjoyed the food. He loved the noodles in the Rameyon, so much he asked for seconds.“
“Cute place, not as stylish as some city cafes, but that highlights that the focus is the food not the look. Every single food thing here is phenomenal. They're known for impeccable breads, though coincidentally the pastries are flawless, and the croissants aren't even too "bready". They rotate their selection-- we get about 12-14 items maybe once a month, and every single one is a knockout every time. Their coffee is also very good. The only improvement would be the service. I think there hasn't been a single time I've gone where they've actually gotten our large order right. Most recently, two bacon egg and cheeses were left off the receipt and just never made. This didn't detract from my rating though. The service is still kind and quick and the food quality more than makes up for it.“
“I ordered a cappuccino that was beautifully crafted. We met a local that who was so kind he gave me his cinnamon roll because he insisted they are absolutely the best and I couldn’t agree more.If you are looking for a great menu and cup of coffee with a warm welcome, stop by this place.“
“It's so great to have the smell of fresh bread on Cabot Street! My favorite thing is the Ham & Gruyere Croissant - you can ask them to warm it up a bit for you and it's just the breakfast snack.Parking: There is metered parking on Cabot St or Broadway“
“We ordered breakfast sandwiches over the phone for our millwright crew while in town for plant maintenance. The staff were extremely friendly & very fast with the breakfast sandwiches we ordered, they were ready as soon as I literally walked in the door! They have a small cozy atmosphere that I'm excited to bring my wife back to enjoy together. The sandwiches were some of the best we've had in a while. My croissant was very light & airy, yet not too flaky at all. The bacon was crispy, the cheese wasn't too hot and the egg was cooked perfectly! The guys enjoyed their bagels and we couldn't shut up about how delicious everything was. We will definitely be back the next time we're in town for outage season!“
“I got an unusually good chai latte with almond milk, and my girlfriend was impressed with her flat white with oat milk. This place has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and one single occupancy bathroom. I did not scrutinize the snack case, but the bars and whatnot looked vegan. I wouldn't be surprised if they had vegan ice cream in the ice cream case, but I didn't ask.“
“Love the ham/egg/cheese breakfast sandwich and ham and cheese lunch. Best cappuccino I've ever found. Desserts are sinfully good. Ingredients are always fresh, store is always clean and service is wonderful. I try to visit at least twice per week.“
“Adored this place, and will probably come back someday even though I'm not close. Was a nice place to work, awesome tunes, and a really cute space. The pour-over coffee I tried was fantastic, as well as the pastry, and I like the ceramics they have.“
“This was a close walk from our accommodation and it did not disappoint. My mom and I were immediately greeted and given some time to choose what we wanted for coffee and food.I got a fall special that was better than any pumpkin spice drink from Starbucks or Dunkin and avocado toast. My mom got an iced Americano and a bacon, egg and cheese on a croissant. Our food and drinks were exceptional! The atmosphere was laid back and relaxed with music that is not loud. A wonderful spot to get some work done as well in their booths, at a table or at the counter looking out the window people watching.If/when I make it back to Salem/Beverly, I will make it a point to stop back in!Highly recommend.“
“We love Sandpiper. We love the staff, the food, the atmosphere and the convenience. As a small, local business owner, I have zero problem with their transparent pricing. We offer the same. It’s crazy that somehow transparency is being spun as a bad thing in some of these reviews. Any way I could go on and on about the cost of running a small business, but most people don’t care bc they aren’t in the arena. Their primary concern is the extra .45 their croissant costs. We are regulars. We order for our family and our clients. Everything is exceptional. I particularly love the salmon toast, almond croissant, tapos for a quick sweet, any of their counter sandwiches, grain bowl and the chick pea soup! I’m sure my kids have their favorites too. And my husband will eat literally everything there. Heading over this afternoon and hope to grab 2 of the homemade chicken pot pies for family dinner! When my mother reached end of life, their quiches were the only thing she would eat. I would grab a coffee and 2 quiche on the way to hospice and be sure she ate something amazing with me. The hospice staff was not happy with me but that didn’t phase me one bit. Because of this Sandpiper will always have a special place in my heart. This bakery is popular! Be prepared to wait, look at their menu in advance. Have a back up option in mind. No matter what you choose, you will not be disappointed!“
“Such a good spot and nice people. And awesome sandwiches, soups and more. Plus cool provisions I’ll call them (sourdough bread, premade coleslaw which was amazing btw). So glad we found this place, thanks to Google Maps and high ratings I must admit. Which is why I am adding my support! We look forward to our next visit!Ps. Photo does the wrap no justice other than I saved half as very generous size! Trust me handmade goodness at The Mill!“
“We've gone their for breakfast many times and always enjoyed it. So we decided to try their catering for a Christmas Party at our home and my goodness was is amazing! The menu was wide ranging to pick from. The food was delicious. And the price was very reasonable. Next time we need a caterer we will call them again!“
“The cuban latte was perfectly done. Ok I do like richly flavored sweet things. A double shot of espresso, 2 spoons of brown sugar and steaming hot half and half cream. This for me is up there with the authentic Cuban cafe con leche you find down in those little Cuban restaurants in Florida.“
“Fantastic bagel sandwiches and expertly prepared coffee beverages. Kevin and staff clearly care about their customers and strive for excellence. Their motto is "People first, then coffee," and it shows. Think "Cheers" for breakfast.“
“My husband and I stopped in to grab a coffee before we hit up Logan to fly home. We met Duchess a super rad doggo, and some pretty neat humans too. I had the brown sugar toffee iced latte. 14 out of 10 would absolutely recommend. I don’t know when I will make it back to Salem. However, when I do, Spells Coffee Shop & Market has made the list for a return trip! Thank you for fueling a day full of travel.“
“We have been frequenting Plus Café for both breakfast and lunch for over a year now and what keeps us coming back is not only the food but the entire staff. Everyone comes from service oriented Mediterranean countries, which gives the place a nice European flavor. The staff and the owner are all quite enjoyable to deal with. Oh, try the Marblehead Stacker sandwich. You could feed a family of four on this thing, and it's amazingly delicious!Vegetarian options: Various salads, bagels, muffins, wide selection of pastries, and we found the friendly and helpful staff are more than willing to help you build your own meal to order.Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and vegan diners should not encounter a problem. The overall theme is Mediterranean so you're looking at healthy eating.Parking: Parking is along both sides a long avenue that runs in front of several shops and the café.Kid-friendliness: Kids are not a problem and we have seen many come and go. There's even a high chair, but we can't honestly attest to the quality of the pablum!Wheelchair accessibility: The café is on one floor with front door access at sidewalk level. Wheelchairs therefore welcomed.“
“Had a couple of drinks while passing through Salem. Def on the sweet side (not a big fan). Loved being able to order through the machines without standing in line (great for folks with that type of anxiety). They have a cozy room with sound proofing that makes it easier to get some work done, however it was a Sunday afternoon for us and it got quickly crowded with chatter.“
“A great little Cafe in a charming town. My husband and I stopped for something quick for breakfast last week before exploring the town and they didn't disappoint. Their lattes were perfect and I had their Kouign-amann which was so good my husband went back for another to take home.Their staff was warm, friendly and very welcoming.Hope to visit again someday!“
“My two favorite foods sound boring to some, but I can't help it -- I'm a savory food kind of person. I love nachos and I love BLTs, and it's amazing how many places have managed to not do these two things well. I have never been able to find a place that can make a good BLT, until now!I needed a quick lunch today and went here on a whim because it was close by. I saw they were closing soon, but there were people inside so I headed in. Sometimes small, local coffee shops can feel drafty or unkempt or just lifeless. As soon as I walked in, I felt like I'd want to sit there for hours. The temperature was just right, and the ambiance felt friendly and warm.I acknowledged that they were closing soon and asked if I could still order a sandwich. They replied in a way that felt welcoming, and not like I was imposing on them (which some places, 15 minutes prior to closing, would have). I ordered the BLT and used the restroom while I waited. Even the restroom was pleasant!I sat in one of the two window bays on a comfortable stool (again, perfect! sometimes they're way too high for a 4'10" to get up on, or off), with a complimentary cup of water (I love when cafes have serve yourself water). One of the servers brought my sandwich over and even on first glance I could tell it was going to be good. No wilted lettuce, no weird bread, perfect amount of mayo and bacon. It was the best BLT I've had at a restaurant, even better than I make at home. So, 5 stars for great ambiance, friendly, unrushed service, and a great BLT! I have no doubt that their other food is just as good.“
“I ordered here for lunch on the recommendation of a few of our clients who work nearby. Online ordering was quick, easy and I liked that it was customizable. The storefront itself is quaint and super cute inside. I was warmly greeted and our food was ready when I arrived. The turkey/apple/cheddar sandwich still visits me in my dreams. 10/10 would recommend!“
“Super cute and easy to find . The drinks were good and the town is great location . So on your way see hocus pocus cemetery grab your self a refreshing drink for the walk . You won't be disappointed and everything reasonably priced and very clean and cool so you can relax and enjoy your drink before your next adventure.“
“Wow, wow, wow! Came here on a recommendation from a friend that works at Tendercrop Farm down the street. My husband and I were surprised to see so many cars coming in and out of the sizeable parking lot. Taking it as a good sign, we headed into the beautiful building. The line was long, but worth the wait! We grabbed a beautiful load of herb Parm sourdough, a cinnamon donut, a brioche chocolate mousse roll, ham and cheese croissant, two passion fruit tarts and two coffees. Came to a very reasonable total of $41. The coffee is great, and so far we've only tried the cinnamon donut but....WOW! It is so light and airy and delicious! Very very pleased. We were looking for a bakeshop near us ever since Bird & Wolf shutdown, and we are thrilled to find this gem that's only 10min away from our home.Only suggestion would be to possibly consider a slightly better system for order fulfillment. A single cashier who is also responsible for picking and packing everything leads to a bottleneck. Can't wait to go on a Friday night and try the dinner portion of this place. Really pleased!“
“This place is the BEST! I tell everyone visiting to come here. If you had a bad experience, it must have been an off day for them. Things happen and I hope you would try them again. Always friendly always delicious and consistent. Can’t say enough positive things about them.“
“Very quick service, super tasty drinks, and right by the Witch Trials Memorial! I had been craving boba tea for a while, and when I saw that place, I decided to just go for it and try it, and honestly, I wasn’t disappointed! It was just extremely quiet in the store, and even though it’s a large open area, there wasn’t much place to sit and rest.“
“We stopped at Cape Ann Coffees for lunch one day while visiting the area. The menu above the counter offered a great many choices, and the sandwiches that we ordered were delicious. We appreciated the helpfulness of the staff and the short wait-time for our order to be prepared. We went back again for lunch the following day.“
“The service here is wonderful. I am gluten free and love their breakfast sandwiches on their freshly made rosemary focaccia bread. Everything is cooked to order and it's a comfortable and cozy place. Went here four times in one day. Every time I visit Salem I stop in at least once.“
“Sweet Java is hidden gem in Swampscott over in the Vinnin Plaza area. Everyone is always so friendly, there’s a great vibe and you can tell the people who work there really care. The drinks are make perfectly and the food is always delicious.“
“I’ve been to Zeke’s for breakfast and lunch dozens of times and have never been disappointed. I have stomach issues and it’s difficult to find restaurants that agree with me, but my stomach have never been bothered from the food here. The gluten free English muffins are perfect, too! You can really taste the love in every dish?Dietary restrictions: Delicious gluten free options“
“Why are you not already eating there! The apple Pie pancakes were the best thing EVER! The green giant omelet was amazing with completely fresh ingredients! We are visitors from the south, and were impressed they put biscuits and gravy on the menu. It did not disappoint! These ladies need to make this a chain and head down to Memphis! RUN to get this breakfast!“
“The concept of this place is VERY cool. I imagine it gets packed in the summer. Their outdoor seating it's beautiful and they have different kinds of lounging spots such as tables and standard chairs, swinging chair, couches, reclining chairs, and even this cute comfy corner seat inside the place. There are multiple entrances and each one feels like you're entering a new world. They have a sweater and tee shop inside too also with other trinkets. The decor is what makes it feel like you're at a surf shop by the beach. I also love the bright colors, it really makes the place feel happy. The bathroom was also very cool. The walls were decorated with vintage records. I ordered the castaway smoothie. It was pretty good although the pineapple and banana did overpower the other flavors in there. There were still a few chunks of unblended pineapple at the bottom but it just made for a good snack at the end. My friend ordered the van chai and surprisingly you could taste the chai. Think of it as a combination of chocolate chai and that's what it taste like. Shameless plug but we did come here after whale watching at Cape Ann whale watch.“
“If all you want is fantastic boba tea with friendly service, this is the place for you. Their menu is extensive, the customizable options are plenty, and prices are good. And the make or break factor with any boba shop is the freshness of the boba. Even though only minutes from closing time, the boba was still perfect! Though not much seating, and sparsely decorated, you will forget that as you play Uno, chess and other games lying around, be filled with joy at the ear-to-ear smiles and contagious laughter coming from the owner, and the incredible taste of their teas and smoothies. Highly recommended!Dietary restrictions: The smoothies are non-dairy, so perfect for my son with a milk allergy.“
“The ambiance of this place was super cute, with a dim interior and purple lighting in the evening. We tried two of their four matcha flavors (the Blossom Matcha and the Brown Sugar Matcha) and both were delicious! The drinks were a bit overpriced for what you get, but overall worth it for the experience of hanging out in the cafe for a few hours chatting.“
“I am a school teacher and one of my students gave me a gift card to Caffe Nero. It was my first time here and will not be my last even though I already used up the gift card. ;) The service was super friendly efficient, the place clean and quaint and my coffee drink and Prosciutto sandwich was yummy!“
“This locally-owned gem stands out not only for its exceptional coffee but also for the inviting atmosphere that makes it a favorite spot for both locals and visitors from what one of the locals told me while waiting in line. The location is a gem on the corner in the whar area. The warm and rustic interior, adorned with exposed brick walls and wooden accents, creates a welcoming retreat. The friendly and knowledgeable baristas add to the overall charm, providing excellent recommendations and a genuine passion for their craft. The coffee menu at Jaho is a celebration of variety, featuring a range of carefully sourced beans and inventive concoctions. Whether you prefer a classic espresso, a creamy latte, or a pour-over showcasing single-origin beans, Jaho has something to satisfy every coffee preference. The commitment to quality is evident in every cup, with each brew crafted with precision and care. The seating area, whether indoors or on the charming outdoor patio, provides a cozy space to linger and enjoy your beverage. It's a perfect spot for solo coffee contemplation, casual meet-ups, or catching up on work with the complimentary Wi-Fi. The relaxed ambiance and eclectic playlist make Jaho a versatile destination for various occasions.“
“Simply an amazing place. All kinds of coffees both hot and cold and other drinks. We didn’t eat there but the menu looked to be mighty tasty and from the line of folks ordering I have to say they were good also.So we had a variety of coffees - I had a hot drip with blueberry, chocolate and I can’t remember what else and it was delightful. My wife had the exact same thing but cold. We certainly will stop there next year when we return to Salem.“
“Spent the day poking around Gloucester and stumbled across this place. Such a cute place that takes you back in time. Being late in the season, it was pretty quiet and not a lot of staff but it didn't matter as we were in no hurry. We ordered sandwiches to take to beach and they were all excellent. Next time we'll dine in and enjoy the atmosphere. This place was a find!“
“Attached to the Atomic Cafe, this is a full service juice bar with bright and friendly staff, with fast service. Located across the street from Montserrat College of Art, this cafe and juicery is a lively and comfortable place to sip a beverage, have a meet up, or pull out the laptop and get some creative juices flowing.“
“Eggs cooked exactly how I wanted them (not a fan of runny whites), which not many places do. The bacon was nice and crispy, and the home fries were well seasoned. The corned beef hash/swiss omelette was a nice big size and could probably feed 1.5 people. Nice cozy location right in the heart of Salem downtown!“
“Bruce and Dede do an outstanding job providing the best service possible no matter how busy it can get. I love seeing the staff every week and any of the locals that may be in there when I go. Great local café that 100% deserves a visit if you’re coming from out of town. Oh and they got the best scones/muffins you’ll ever have too ;)“
