About Red's Sandwich Shop

Red's Sandwich Shop in Salem offers a delicious breakfast that is definitely worth a visit. The Bama Betty and berry-stuffed French toast are wonderful options, while the Bama Benny, featuring cornbread with corned beef hash and an egg, is also highly praised. The Reuben sandwich with sweet tater fries has been described as the best, and the clam chowder is considered the best many have ever tasted. Despite slightly higher prices, the portion sizes are generous and the quality is excellent. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere make it a must-visit spot for breakfast or lunch. Don't be fooled by its small exterior, as the inside is spacious and welcoming. Many consider it a staple of Salem, and it is recommended to arrive early, especially in October. With its old school diner feel and a history dating back to 1945, Red's Sandwich Shop is a recommended stop for anyone in Salem looking for amazing food and great service.

Best breakfast we have EVER HAD!!!

My family & I visited Salem for the first time & we arrived really early in the morning. Red’s opened at 7am and we were able to get a great table & an even better waitress! Jackie was beyond friendly, shared with us great places to check out and the food was really good! Highly recommend! 10/10

My husband and I grabbed breakfast at Red’s. We both got breakfast sandwiches and the house fries. Everything was delicious!!
