“The other night, we went on a peak time 8:30pm ice cream run and every single ice cream spot had huge lines! We just kept driving… LOL. Eventually, we found ourselves all the way in Mashpee at Polar Cave Ice Cream Parlour. They had a long line too, but at that point, if I kept driving, we would’ve run out of gas So we waited in line and let me tell you, it was SO worth it. They make the waffle cones to order, and the smell alone was enough to pull you in. Not only were the prices surprisingly reasonable, but what really stood out was the service. The gentleman taking our order had the kind of smile you don’t see often anymore—genuine, warm, and welcoming. The whole place had these nostalgic Coca-Cola throwback vibes, and it just felt like a full-on experience, not just a quick dessert stop. My daughter said, “I hope customers feel this way when I serve them.” 🩷 And my husband got a banana split that was absolutely to die for and only $11! 🐻‍❄️“

“Very good food at reasonable prices. The menu is also quite varied. Sitting at the counter I was able to observe a lot of how the staff performs. They are always in motion. If they have a few seconds they'll do a variety of things related to maintenance. They operate like a well oiled machine. Terrific place to eat. We had over 190 guests and not once did it ever feel overwhelming — they handled every detail flawlessly and with such professionalism. The food was incredible, our guests are still raving about it, and the energy of the night was everything we hoped for. The vibe was amazing, the space was beautiful, and once the music started, the dance floor turned into a full-on party that never slowed down. Many trips with ed jr down the cape and he has always had a passion for cooking and we had many conversations about it on our trips back n forth from the cape! I had lost touch for awhile and had heard ed jr had his own restaurant now and we had recently gone down the cape to visit my girlfriends dad at the military cemetery and we made sure we stopped in to check it out and im not surprised that his presentation and food is so good! So happy to hear of your success Ed and we will definitely be going back as much as we can!!🫡“

If you asked me 1.5 years ago, this would be an easy five stars. But having been here twice, I had two wildly different experiences. The first was perfect — the food was delectable, it was served efficiently, and the waitstaff was accommodating. However, the second time we visited most recently, the food was not near the same level of quality. Some of the dishes we loved previously had changed for worse (e.g., the fish and chips) and service was SLOW. We waited on our food for a very long time and spent hours more at dinner than we expected. Not sure what was going on, but the party I was with left not wanting to ever come back. I would give it another chance as our first experience was phenomenal, but the inconsistency did raise some concern.

I love the concept of this restaurant and the atmosphere is truly fantastic for people interested in the farm-to-table, garden style of the place — but I would need to visit again to determine whether this is truly worth the time and money, or if it was a one-time fluke.“
