“One minute your on the streets of Worcester then walking in and time warping to a taxidermy dream bar from the 1950s. Then once you step out the back door it feels like you have entered an enchanted forest decorated in strings lights with majgical fairys bringing you beer and meatball sandwiches. I drove all the way from Dover NH to sink my teeth into 2 meatball + sausage sandwiches & 2 beers. Well, really to see my old friend and visit with her friends. “We stopped in as a group for a couple drinks after attending a friend’s birthday party in Millbury. Bartender was really friendly and service was fast. Good options for beers. Shortly after we arrived we were pleasantly surprised that there was live music. He sounded great and played a nice variety of genres. This place was comfortable even for first timers and spotless. “We've been going to Via since they opened. The recent menu changes were disappointing. Our favorite menu items were gone. The Fonduta of Italian cheeses and the veal scallopine are no longer offered and the short ribs, although still very good, are served with tortellini now, which I don't think is an improvement. Also notable is the servers at the Worcester restaurant group restaurants all seem to be new and the team serving dynamic is not as it used to be, either. We were told that there is a new head Chef, but rather than adding new menu items, they seem to have just removed some of the best ones.“
