“OMG! We just left a love fest of service and food! We loved the staff and chef, each so warm and accommodating! And it’s hard to know where to start with the food! The crème brûlée french toast was incredible, the bacon, smoky, and my chai was silky and had a perfect combo of spices. I had a spinach pie with a flaky pastry top, and others ordered a Brazilian couscous dish, a humongous omelete and a yummy veggie combo. Oh, and the smoothies? One Soursop and a mixed berry. The husband said the cookies were great and had several every night for a bedtime snack. They had peanut butter chocolate chip and traditional chocolate chip. Both were winners! “Great spot to grab a couple drinks, some food and hear live music. I recently visited looking for a place in the area for a mixed group of adults and kids before an outing. This was a perfect spot. Love the atmosphere and the family & dog friendly feel. Unique brews, like the wine beer and the hard kombucha. This past visit was a short one but I look forward to hanging out longer in the future!“

“Randomly drove by this place. Last I knew it was Santander so it took me by surprise to see that it is now a Mediterranean bakery. I went for the first time on my lunch break and was greeted by the sweetest people. You can tell this place is old school and family owned. “The Great Barn = Great Wonderful Wedding!!!
We cannot say enough wonderful things about The Great Barn in Berlin, MA, and especially Jennifer Cermak and her amazing staff. From the moment we began planning our wedding, Jennifer was incredibly responsive, attentive, and genuinely invested in making our vision come to life.

One of the things that impressed us most was Jennifer’s ability to take our color theme and the pictures we shared of our table design and turn them into something even more beautiful than we had imagined. She also added her own creative touches and suggested complementary colors and aesthetic details that we had not thought of ourselves.

Her experience and eye for detail made such a difference. Having the entire barn and house for the whole weekend was another incredible benefit. It gave us the opportunity to have our rehearsal the day before, while also providing wonderful spaces for the bride and groom to get ready. The groom and his party had their own suite, while the bride and her bridal party had a beautiful space for hair and makeup. We were able to have our first look and enjoy the entire wedding weekend without feeling rushed or having to leave the property. It made the experience so much more relaxed and special.

On the wedding day itself, Jennifer was exceptional. She was constantly attentive and alert to whatever we needed, often anticipating things before we even had to ask. Jennifer told us early on that her philosophy is that “it’s the bride’s day and she gets whatever she wants,” and she truly lived by that philosophy. What was especially wonderful was that this same level of care extended to the groom and the entire bridal party. No request was too small, and Jennifer went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable and taken care of.

The Great Barn itself provided a beautiful setting for every part of our wedding. We had our outdoor ceremony, followed by an outdoor cocktail reception, and then moved inside for our reception in the beautifully appointed barn. Jennifer also recommended our DJ, who was fantastic. He kept everyone dancing and did an excellent job maintaining the flow and energy as we transitioned from one part of the celebration to the next.

We had 64 guests, and throughout the evening we repeatedly heard how much everyone was enjoying themselves and how beautiful and memorable the wedding was. That meant so much to us, and we know that the venue and Jennifer’s attention to detail played a huge role in creating that experience.

One recommendation we would make to future couples is to plan ahead and give your vendors plenty of time to visit the venue and coordinate with Jennifer. She knows the property extremely well and is wonderful at helping everything come together, so having everyone communicate and coordinate in advance makes the wedding day run even more smoothly. Jennifer is truly amazing at what she does. She provides not only a beautiful and unique venue, but also extraordinary service, creativity, responsiveness, and genuine care. We highly recommend Jennifer, her excellent staff, and The Great Barn to any couple looking for a wedding venue where they will feel supported and truly cared for throughout the entire experience. “We stopped at Slater's for lunch and the food is delicious. We ordered the pulled pork entree which came with cucumber salad, potato salad & corn bread. Plus we got a small Hawaiian pizza. The pizza is wood fired. The pulled pork came first & both me & my husband thought that it was the best BBQ that we have had in a long time. The pizza was thin crust which is our favorite. Everything was delicious. My husband even ordered some pulled pork to go. Our server Liz was so sweet & helpful since this was our first time there.“

“Delivery, strictly appointment, facility is open from 7:30am - 5pm. I had appointment scheduled for 8am, checked in at 7:45am and checked out at 9:15am. From I 290 take exit 15 to Southbridge St, then left on Southgate St but NOT Southgate PI, and you will see Gardner st, take a right, I will upload a pictures for directions and be sure RIGHT AFTER SECOND BRIDGE TURN LEFT for recieving. I’m not sure for overnight parking, I would not recommend to try because it’s really tight plus you will get there during the night and If you passed or If you are not allowed you will lose a lot of time from your sleep. Overall it’s a good company.“
