I hosted a party here last weekend, and have nothing but fantastic things to say about Cold Harbor.

THE SPACE
Our party was in the back room abutting the windows to the brew floor, and the space was perfect. There was a mix of couches and lounge space, cocktail tables, our own bar, and ample walking space to move and socialize. The ambience of the room was welcoming and fun, but still private and insulated from the sounds of the Saturday night main dining room next door.

THE FLEXIBILITY
In the weeks leading up to my event, Taylor, the Cold Harbor Event Manager, was approachable, helpful, and a delight to work with. She took time to understand the type of event I was looking to host, and worked with me to customize the perfect experience. Day of, she was available and checked in often to make sure that we were supported.

THE STAFF
We had our own bar manned by Stan, and hors d'oeuvres passed and managed by Caitlyn. Both were friendly and welcoming, and went above and beyond as the night progressed! Caitlyn helped package leftover food for guests to take at the end of the night, and Stan helped us meet our committed minimums by recommending a few 4-Packs to go (a clever way to keep the energy going without overserving excited guests late in the evening).

THE FOOD & DRINK
Despite being a brewery by name, the team at Cold Harbor provided a wide variety of options for us beyond beer. In addition to 4 beers on-tap, our private event bar was able to feature a few pre-selected cocktails, again thanks to Taylor's planning and Stan's execution.

The food was excellent as well. We started with a charcuterie platter (picture attached), and then moved to passed appetizers and a pizza bar. Our guests loved all of the food, with especial preference to the Chicken & Waffle Skewers.

THE ATTENTION TO DETAIL
Across categories, a common thread that made this event truly high-quality was the attention to detail of the staff at Cold Harbor. The team has it down, and works hard behind the scenes to create an evening that is low effort to plan as a client.

“An absolutely stunning spot with plenty of options for the whole family. They have several allergen and vegan friendly options to choose from in addition to most of your usual suspects at a creamery. The staff are very nice as well! Highly recommend giving this spot a try.

Dietary restrictions: Several vegan-friendly options. As of writing this, they have sorbet, dole whip (pineapple, raspberry, & twist), and two vegan-friendly hard-serve ice cream flavors (coconut-based, vanilla and cookie dough). Made with cane sugar too!“

“I drove by this place daily on my commute to/from work for years, and never stopped in until I saw it on Phantom Gourmet a few months ago. Now I can't get enough of it--Dave churns out some of the most creative and insanely delicious wood-fired, thin-crust pies I've ever had, and always greets you with a smile and a quick chat whenever you stop in. My favorites are the "Three Lil' Pigs" and the "My Favorite", but you really can't go wrong with any of his specialty pizza concoctions. I've never dined in, but I probably grab take-out from here 2-3 times a month, and I could easily do more if I let myself. Keep up the great work, Dave!“

“I've been hearing a lot about this place and wanted to try it for myself. Went yesterday and got the Chicken Katsu Lunch special, It also came with an peach iced tea that I finished before I got home, so sorry, no photo.. The chicken sandwich was delicious. The panko coating was crunchy and chicken was tender and moist , It was topped with a crunchy/refreshing slaw. And the fries were also quite delicious topped with a Tonkatsu sauce. I'll definitely be stopping in again and highly recommend you do the same.“

“Went to Red Rock yesterday for the first time with a friend after antiquing. Friendly greeting by a nice gentleman, delicious popcorn, great drinks and the food was delicious! Helen our server was a peach, great experience. I have passed this Grill for years and never stopped, what a mistake! Will be seeing you again on our way to Grafton.“

“30min wait on a Sunday AM at 10am. Once we sat down the service was fast and the food came really quickly. The waffles were very undercooked, but the rest of the food was great!

“I had THE best experience at this restaurant! Our server was on top of everything, he was courteous and well informed. The chef corrected any issues that we had quickly and the Host was friendly, informative and made us feel welcomed. I would highly recommend this place to families and friends. What a great time! Thank you Chill Kitchen and Bar, I will be back.

We stopped for dinner after a youth sports game, we ate indoors - they do have a patio.If you need a quiet place to dine, this isn't the place but by no means is it bad. Just nice locals unwinding.Food was great overall, I reserved the 5th star for more tastings - I'd go back. No table service, one orders from the bar after looking at the menu and then the food is brought to you. Cash only, ATM on the premises.It's a quirky place, but definitely worth the visit if you don't need solitude or full service!“

“Love this place when craving Italian. Risotto balls are great. All thought they definitely changed how they are made. Used to get 4 large ones and now it's 6 small. Probably cause if you have a large party the 4 wasn't enough for everyone. Either way not a big deal and still taste great.

I haven't tried their sea food so I can't speak on that but the pasta dishes and apps are amazing“

Small touches like setting up a baby changing area because the bathrooms don't have changing stations shows they care about their patrons.“

“I was one of the first clients when Medusa opened for business. Great place, awesome service and of course, great beer! Unfortunately after moving out of Hudson, i was back last Saturday with a friend and what a disappointment. Beer still the same and everything else but service. The new staff walk by your table and just don’t care. I had to get up and ask the bartender if we could have a beer. Not to mention, the new staff spend time talking among themselves drinking at the corner of the bar. They are there for themselves not to service the patrons, don’t care about the business and most important, we didn’t know if there was a manager in the building. i’m writing this review as a cry for help for a great place and I hope the owners or someone can pay attention and fix a very broken place before it’s too late. I love Medusa’s beer but I can’t recommend the place anymore. Sad! ?“
