“I think I finally found a local business I can support instead of going to Starbucks! The iced lattes here are delicious and the baked goods are FRESH. My friend said her nitro brew was on point. We’re both lactose intolerant and were glad they had all the alternative milk options. The cappuccino are true cappuccino (not lattes being mislabeled as cappuccinos).My neighbor and I enjoy meeting here to practice each other’s first language (she’s learning English; I’m learning Portuguese). There’s Wifi for when we need Google Translate and it’s quiet enough to hear each other (but loud enough that we aren’t uncomfortable chatting the entire time). Casual and friendly environment.For parents/guardians of littles, there’s 1 couch with children’s toys/coloring in a nearby cubby.For social media influencers, there’s a decorative wall for you to take your selfies in front of. And the drinks have a cute logo/sticker.Random: I also love the stickers they have for sale at the counter.I hope this place sticks around!“

“Suzette offers excellent, fresh, and authentic French crepes and macarons at very affordable prices. The staff is friendly and offers amazing service. I have been many times, and have recently ordered macarons for an event. Over the many instances my friends, family and I have eaten there, I have had nothing short of a flawless experience. “Last night before the Judds concert, we were looking for a place to have dinner. Most places right around the venue were at least an hour wait. We ended up a couple blocks from away at a place called deadhorse hill . It was a small place, not a huge menu but a decent selection of options. The greeter was prompt and polite. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Our waitress was attentive and funny with a quick wit. While we waited for our meal, I observed the bartender expertly measuring, stirring and shaking drinks while engaged in friendly chatting with other staff and people at the bar. Our food was great. We each got burgers and fries and they were delicious. When the bill came, there was a 20% tip already factored in. I've seen this done for large parties before but it was just three of us. Apparently it was stated on the menu, I hadn't seen it. I'm paraphrasing here because I don't recall the exact wording but basically they said the reason they do it is so that all staff is paid equally and they earn enough to make a livable wage. I thought that was pretty cool and then it dawned on me, our waitress was truly one of the best I've ever had. In truth, she didnt have to be. Technically, she was already getting her 20% guaranteed. She didnt have to put in any extra effort. The same goes for the rest of the staff. To me, this made it all the more impressive. The backs of the shirts they all wore said, "Don't be a Pickle kicker". Couldn't figure out what that meant so we asked our waitress. She told us that some time ago back they first opened, a young man worked there and when it got busy and he was building the sandwiches and a pickle fell to the floor, he would just kick it under the fridge. When other staff would clean they would find piles of pickles under there. So its a message to everyone on staff to think of each other, take pride in their work and don't be lazy. I thought that was pretty amazing. All in all, if you ever find yourself in Worcester, MA for a concert or event at the DCU Center, go early and have dinner at Deadhorse Hill. Well worth it and a wonderful experience.“

“Vivacity Nutrition is amazing and more than just a place to drink a smoothie! The variety and customization is next level and Maddie has created a safe space for people to connect, relax and be themselves. Anytime I walk in there Maddie greets me with love and authenticity no matter what she has going on in her life. Her staff are friendly, have good customer service and make a great drink! “This place is amazing. Central Mass does not have a lot of vegan comfort food spots so I was happy when this place opened. I’ve been vegan for 16 years and the “chickun” sandwich and (juicy af) breakfast sandwich may be the best I’ve had anywhere.“

“Made my first trip to Root and Press yesterday and I will be back. What a great place! Ordered the Purple Cow and it was very refreshing. The Chipotle Chicken Avocado Sandwich and Aloha Chicken Panini were delicious. Staff was knowledgeable and very accommodating to food sensitivities.“

“Picked up soup and sandwiches to go on a whim and they were all delicious. All together we had the grilled cheese and tomato soup, Italian, and roast beef - everyone was happy. The food was ready quickly, and the salads, cookies, and drinks in the coolers when I went to pick up the order looked really colorful and are reason enough to go back and try something new. Also maybe worth noting - I'm not really a pickle person, but the sandwiches came with sides of sliced pickles. Best I have ever had and I was wishing there were more. I think I like pickles now. “My ex-girlfriend put me on to Acoustic Java my sophomore year of college, and while that relationship didn't work out, I owe her my life (and GPA, and crippling caffeine addiction) for introducing me to this heaven-sent coffee shop. My personal favorites are the lavender latte (it sounds weird but it's incredible, I promise), the caramel latte (basic, I know, but it's so rich and flavorful), and for a quick bite, I absolutely slam back the avocado toast. I could go on and on about how great of a place it is to study, chat, enjoy live music, and just chill on any given day-- even if I sometimes have to run into my ex. It's worth it. I'm going to fall into a deep depression when I graduate, and won't be in the area anymore, but I'm enjoying it while I can.“

“Ice cream, coffee and a bakery in the same venue, plus it's open year round. I love it and will probably try the bakery side (serving sizes for ice cream and coffee are generous, by the way), next time. It's a great place to come and go sit in Grafton Common or take a walk afterwards.“

“I was happy to stumble upon this cute cafe, with everything you need to kick start your weekend!I've never had the red barn coffee but I'm a Columbian coffee fan and their regular brewed coffee was delicious.Even more delicious was the Mocha fudge gingerbread muffin top. I could ask for that with my last meal on Earth. So light and fluffy with fudge in the middle.The atmosphere was extremely welcoming, the woman who took our order was a little less pleasant as we were taking our time looking around and figuring out what to order and she seemed to want to speed us up.The decorations are all coffee mugs that are also all unique and it was fun trying to look at all of them. They had a cute outside table that looked so cozy if there was just a little heater in this weather (December). I wish I lived closer so they could where I get all my coffee.“

“The best breakfast sandwiches in the area. They have a wide variety of coffee as well but I personally stick with the iced mocha & it never disappoints. It's usually best to order ahead online and give plenty of time as it can take a bit for your order to be ready. If you do decide to eat in the cafe has plenty of seating & it is comfortable!“

“Best bread, hands down. Every time I go I try something different and so far everything has been delicious, healthy 7 grains, traditional French, Irish soda bread (both traditional and white chocolate cranberry were amazing!) all different kinds of muffins and their scones! I had biscotti today and that was so good! And everyone work there are always nice and friendly, I feel so lucky to have this little gem near me!“

“Small but fast service. Usually stop Saturday and Sunday on the way to Market 32. My breakfast is usually apple pie topping on texas, french toast or pancakes 12 inch each. Either 1 to 4 each. My wife likes a simpler breakfast with Popeye French toast. Middle of toast round cutout with fried egg in hole, get fried toast hole on side. Prices were not raised as high during recession as chains. . .Parking: Plenty of spots.Kid-friendliness: More adults than kids. Mostly singles and couples. The staff remembers guests ons weekly visits. Fast Service. Coffee cups kept full. Very friendly. Customers will change seats to accommodate new customers.“

“This little coffee shop is like a taste of California when I visit Northborough. I live in the Bay Area now, and when I visit family in Massachusetts, this is like a fun little oasis of vegan treats, delicious smoothies, excellent coffees, and friendly vibes. “My recent first visit to lunch at Mendon Street Kitchen in downtown Uxbridge, Massachusetts was a delightful experience. We took our two grandchildren. The outside dining area has great atmosphere with umbrella tables and fun decorations that appeal to adults and children. Our grandchildren loved the grilled cheese with bacon sandwich. My lobster roll was delicious, and my wife enjoyed her BLT sandwich. I learned that Mendon Street Kitchen is a proud sponser of "First Night," a huge Christmas parade in downtown Uxbridge each December. Mendon Street Kitchen is a wonderful boutique eatery. My compliments to the owner chef.“

“Food was good, did taste like the grill on some of the French toast but was still good, one of the lady’s can either barely hear or know any English. Went here with my girlfriend and she kinda messed up our order but it was all good. Regular coffee with syrup had a lot of syrup flavor.“

“Great Bar - Nice Patrons My friends and I came across this bar after eating at the Italian place up this street. Everyone at Cicero's seemed to know each other - it was obvious that we were new there (out of place?), but everyone was really nice to us. I chatted with many other patrons there. The guy sitting next to us won a game he was playing, and bought drinks for everyone at the bar including us. Very comfortable atmosphere. Women's bathroom was very clean. The bartender was very attentive and friendly. I don't live in the area, but if I am again, I will definitely go back. Thanks“

“As we look forward to attending New Year’s Eve once again at Maxwell/ Luciano’s, I realize that although I posted this review on TripAadvisor, I neglected to post it on this site… so Here it is long overdue from Sept 2021…”We hosted a Bridal Shower / Brunch here for our daughter 2 weeks ago and I cannot say enough great things about it. I booked it very early.. last March, in the midst of Covid, when most other venues were not equipped to handle a reservation for Sept. Martin handled my request and was marvelous to work with… getting all the details down. When the time got close I worked with Stephanie and she was awesome, eager to satisfy every detail and request. And on the day, David ran himself ragged to get everything done to sheer perfection.The day of the shower, we arrived to the Grand Hall all set up in spectacular fashion… tables set formally, lovely curtained dividers to make our space private, lovely entrance and a huge splendid adjacent area set up for the buffet.This venue is breathtakingly beautiful, and having our celebration here allowed us to showcase the best Worcester has to offer! They had lovely background music playing to compliment the space perfectly.The buffet was more than impressive and elegantly presented… fresh and delicious… from pastries, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, waffles, eggs Benedict to two lovely salads , then progressed on to three chosen entrees of fish, beef and pasta, potatoes and roasted vegetables…AND a chef served carving station of Turkey and ham as well as omelette station!! An array of petite desserts and complimentary mimosas and bloody Mary’s topped off the spread.I cannot stress how many compliments we received on the elegance and perfection of this event!My daughter and her fiancé were thrilled with every aspect of the day.
