“I have been meaning to write a review for a while- if you haven't been to 5 Sons and/or haven't used them for catering before - DO IT!! I have gotten catering a few times from Jen and she is not only such a great person she is an even better cook. They are accommodating to what you need, offer suggestions you may not consider, reasonable pricing and delivered with a huge smile. Their pizza is the best in town by far but their Italian dishes are home cooked amazing! They have a grab and go section with meatballs/sauce, eggplant parm, stuffed shells, pasta primavera- one is enough for me, my two teenagers and some left over! Remember 5 Sons for you next catering event or Friday night pizza order- you will not regret it!!“

“It was a brisk Saturday night and I took the lady out for a dish of pasta. I put on my finest linens and prepared to embark on date night. We arrived at Daniella's. We started with the muscles ??, then I enjoyed the Sunday sauce while the Mrs treated herself to the chix, broccoli and ziti..oh yea and you can't forget the mushroom risotto..mangia!! Dinner was delightful from start the finish.“

“We went to Petrillo’s tonight to celebrate my husbands birthday and the dinner was absolutely fabulous! The food is always delightful we got the Fried Ravioli to start which was amazing, delicious and the sauce is so good! For dinner I had the pollo parmigiana and my husband had the steak tips, both were amazing! And to top it off our waitress Eileen was so sweet and provided outstanding service! It really feels like family! Love the environment!“

“We were very excited to try the Blue Marlin from reviews we’ve seen. I have to mention our initial reaction was a little sketchy when we first entered and encountered the hostess. She looked at my family (including me, my wife & 2 adult daughters) and asked… “What can I do for you?” with an unwelcoming look on her face we interpreted to mean What are you people doing here? If we weren’t celebrating my wife’s birthday I probably would have left. She brought us to our table, literally threw the menus on the table and said someone would be with us. THANKFULLY, our server came and was super friendly. Everything else went well. The food was pretty good and seemed fresh. We also enjoyed the atmosphere. The only other slight disappointment, though not a big thing, was I mentioned my wife’s birthday to our server but no special recognition was afforded her. “First timer but certainly the last ! The service was friendly and efficient and the food was excellent! This restaurant is a very good place to visit if you are attending an event at the Cabot , a special occasion or just for the pleasure of it.“

“Just discovered this place three weeks ago and now have been four times, everything we have ordered has been delicious. We also ordered the half trays of eggplant and chicken parm for Christmas Day, I will never order anywhere else. It was the best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to try the pizza. “Absolutely wonderful. I've ordered food from here quite a few times and the family's always enjoyed their pizza and fries. We we coming back from an event and needed food quick- we'd usually go to Brothers for something like that since their stuffs ready and it's better than typical fast food, but they were closing in minutes so we decided to dine in Gallo for our first time. We got seated immediately, they gave us a free little appetizer before giving us some nice bread & oil. Our four dishes came out very quickly and were all delicious. No kids menu but absolutely didn't matter, both kids found different meals they wanted and got good leftovers. Place was clean as a whistle and server was so kind to us. Absolutely will go back more frequently.“

“Or first time here. The parking lot is nearly full ... The dining room is overflowing and very loud. Amazingly, the hostess offered to seat us in the function room. There was only one other family in there and it was blissfully quiet. Service was speedy and friendly. The 3 of us got away with an $80 tab. It was a relaxing meal. Chicken Marsala for me. A large appetizer and small Caesar salad for my wife. Our son got something off the lunch menu. It looked very good.Parking: In front of the restaurant.“

“My mom and I are visiting Marblehead and didn't expect to visit pizza heaven while here! We ordered the Insalata salad (subbed the Parmesan cream dressing) and the Fonduta pizza. WOW! We were blown away. The crust was delicious - crispy on the outside and chewy inside. The toppings were a perfect combo - super savory and aromatic with the truffle oil. We will absolutely be back when we visit next year!“

“I was so impressed with my lunch yesterday! I tried Chicken Zitti Broccoli Alfredo pasta dinner and my husband got the Red Passion Salad. We both finished our whole plates and we were so surprised with the short amount of time it took to receive it. The staff was helpful,kind and always with a smile in their faces. “The price/quality ratio is great, very friendly but professional staff. Quality live bands Friday and Saturday nights, $10 cover charge. Lisa Love Experience, the WildFire Band, The Far are some of the bands I have seen there, and they have a good size dance floor too. The kitchen closes and live music starts at 9pm. I definitely suggest making a reservation and being there early enough if you plan to eat or you don't want to stand up all night. Lounge is the perfect place to hang out with friends on a weekend night, or you can have a family dinner in the dining room but not a place for a romantic first date.“

“Good Italian food here. But...In every restaurant I have ever eaten in, and I have eaten in many. When a plate is placed with a human hair on it in front of the customer and that customer has to wait while the food is replated and others in the party start eating. It is customarily expected for the restaurant to deduct from the bill as an apology. Not here. This surprised me and premotes my reluctance on returning.“

“I dined here with my husband, brother-in-law and sister-in-law on Sunday evening. We were celebrating my husband's birthday and I must say we were all so pleased with the outstanding service we received from our waiter, Chris. He was fantastic from start to finish. Friendly, engaging, attentive and went beyond what we expected and hoped for. He really made the evening special for us. All of the food was prepared perfectly and was of great quality. I've been to this restaurant 3 times. The first time was great. The second time was a very bad experience for me and I really didn't want to return but this was where everyone wanted to go and I'm so glad I agreed to give it another try. Chris was the best as was everything else. Thank you, Chris, for a wonderful evening and experience.“

“Thanks so much for an excellent dinner! The pork with gorgonzola cream sauce was recommended by Madison and I'm so happy I followed her suggestion! Perfectly cooked pork with a rich but not to "blue" cream sauce. Plenty of food for dinner plus the leftovers which will be lunch this weekend! My vegetarian wife ordered the leek and mushroom ravioli and she was in heaven too. Lastly if you are a fan of German Hefeweisen beer, grab the Tucher, prob the best authentic Hefe I've ever had!“

“We hit all the recommended places our first couple days in marblehead, we continued to search for additional experiences to try. Our last afternoon we found this little place within walking distance (as most places are in marblehead) and reviews seemed good. Luckily they weren't busy so we didn't need a reservation at that time. After entering we were happily surprised by the decor and menu options, yet somehow we were even more surprised by our appetizers and then our entrées. After being told at another place our first night in marblehead that no restaurants served bread pudding, we ordered two when our server told us they had it (and they fresh and delicious). Had we been in town any longer we definitely would have returned to try some other options. We plan to be back in the area in the spring and we'll be making sure we have reservations.“

As far as attentiveness, at least four servers were constantly checking on us to make sure all was well and that we had everything needed; additionally, great recommendations were made. “We hosted a bereavement lunch for my mother and everything was perfect. The staff could not have been more attentive, and the food and service were excellent. There are additioanl costs associated with a private event and those were all provided to us beforehand. The events team made it so easy for me at a time when even the simplest things were hard for me to do. Thank you to everyone who helped us yesterday.“

“We've been looking for a good pizza place close to home (Lynn), since forever. We found it - it's Reno's Pizza on Essex St in Swampscott. The pizza is the absolute best and now we're hooked. The place is extremely clean, the owner is awesome and we told them how much we love their pizza.“

“Celebrated a 90th birthday party during off-hours on a Saturday. The folks were awesome to deal with, gave us free rein on the restaurant, served pizza as appetizers and the hot and cold buffet. Food was fabulous, they were so helpful and friendly before and during the party, and would highly recommend! Nice to have a small business so friendly and accommodating for 40+ people!“

“Shout out to PV. Website says open until 9:30. Had a kid's event and this place was fortunately still open. We rolled in at 8:45. No customers were in but us (bc really, peeps don't eat that late (this was a Tuesday). Some lights were on and it almost looked like they were settling up to call it a night. We were greeted immediately and given a table. The server seemed a bit surprised (maybe annoyed or tired from a long day. Not their fault, we are all human) that we rolled in essentially right before they were about to close, but they jumped right into serving us. We got linguine and clams, and the bolognese. Food was so good! I offered to settle the check right when food got to the table so they could close us out and move on with their night but they weren't having it. “Place was incredible! Our server Jazmine truly gave us the ultimate experience and made our first time there memorable. The ambiance is perfect, food is excellent, and the SERVICE! She was personable, attentive, kind, had good knowledge of the menu and made being there truly special. Her overall attitude of going above and beyond didn't go unnoticed and it was appreciated.Only thing is it’s busy, for good reason, and the seating for two is almost on top of one another. Might request more of the booth seating for more space and closer proximity to be able to talk better.“

“We have heard sooo many good things about Frankie Slice and finally gave it a try tonight. I have to say - it exceeded expectations! The service was super fast and friendly - our pizza was ready within 10 minutes which is insanely fast for a Saturday night. After trying many pizza places around the North Shore, my husband and I both agree this is our favorite yet (by a LOT). It was cooked to perfection and we nearly polished off the whole thing ourselves (we got the jumbo pizza size which had nice big slices!). We can't wait to come back again soon!“

“Our neighbor recommended we try Marblehead House of Pizza and suggested we get small pizza's because they're "more crispy." We didn't know what to expect and I'm so excited we ordered. We got 2 small pizza's : pepperoni on one and Buffalo chicken on the other. I'd compare it to a very thin deep dish pizza because you can tell it was cooked in a pan, and brings all the crispy edges and bits you could ever want. We'll definitely order again, the pizza was great!“

“Local little spot. Obviously family owned. Seems to be a town staple. The steak sub wasn't huge. Definitely smaller than I was expecting, being use to honking footlongers . However after biting into the sandwich, I realized what the deal is. You're paying for the quality. The price wasn't high or anything, I'm just saying that's why the sandwich is smaller. More like a 8-10 inches. The bread was a cut above. Soft, warm,tasty. The steak was of a good quality and flavorful. Nice texture. The cheese was nice and melty. I got a sandwich and chips,took it back to the Airbnb. It traveled well. Was good even after sitting an hour or so.“

I've tried a lot of different food from pizza to pizza rolls to salads, subs, pasta and I have no complaints! They live up to all of it. “The food was a plus ten. The presentation was beautiful .and the aroma filled the room. To my surprise there was a band that night and it was excellent. I can’t believe that the lead singer was an idol finalists .Rudy Cardenas. So enjoy ed my night. This place is a fun and great night out with friends.I highly recommend it and will be back again. Also fantastic pizza if you want to take out or grab a slice. And so reasonable priced..Vegetarian options: I have food allergies. Especially black pepper.
