“I am convinced this is my favorite sandwich spot in the US. I live in Los Angeles but work brings me to the …boroughs 3-4 times a year. With out fail, everyday I don’t have a work lunch I come here and bounce between the Angry Italian and the Crazy Caprese. The bread, the meats, the cheeses are all incredible on their own, but when the come together OMG.“

The servings are generous, the menu extensive, the ingredients fresh and perfectly seasoned. One of our group is a picky eater and she couldn’t get enough of her veggie burrito. My grilled eggplant sandwich was to die for, and another at our table ordered the portobello sandwich, which she declared superb. “Summary: get the corned beef hash. If you didn’t get the corned beef hash, you did it wrong. Order again. It’s the only photo I’m attaching to this review, because you need to focus like a freaking laser. Don’t be distracted until you have ordered something containing this hash. My fave breakfast joint is on Vancouver island in Canada. My second favorite to this point was in Tucson. I have had a lot of breakfasts. I have had a lot of corned beef. If you aren’t ordering the corned beef here, you will be judged. It’s why people don’t consider going vegetarian. When you pass away, whether or not you had this corned beef will be factored in to how your life is measured. Get the hash.“

I’m hard to please when it comes to food but was hungry and wanted something healthy. Service and food were great and the cost was reasonable… I had the stew lamb shank and wow it was so tasty… the meat was falling off the bone and the spices (saffron etc) were delicious. Today however I need to absolutely rave about the cake made for my dad’s birthday. I sent a picture of a beer can and asked for a cake based on the can and holy moly did they pull out all the stops. “I was surprised at the quality of the subs and sandwiches at a pizza place, but I would say they exceed the quality of others places that are dedicated to sandwiches. The steak and cheese, and the mushroom cheddar burger in particular are standouts to me, and I'm also a huge fan of their pita-style chicken Caesar pocket. Staff are friendly and always prepare my food in a reasonable amount of time.

Dietary restrictions: My wife can't eat red meat and she loved the turkey sub and the chicken Caesar pocket.“

“Milford - First time in, did not love what I ordered and not only was it taken off our bill, but the manager gave us a $25 gift card to come back…that’s excellent customer service which impressed us. “This is by far my favorite D'Angelo's location of all time. It is fairly close to my work, so I frequently order sandwiches online and then visit them to pick up around lunch time or in the later afternoon if I'm working late. Sandwiches are always made with care and precision and always taste great. I usually get the Steak #9, the Cheeseburger Sub, or the Thanksgiving Toasted. Diane is the manager there and she always greats me with a smile and asks me how I'm doing. During the holidays, I have also used the catering services at this location. The staff have been fantastic - it's so quick and easy to make the order in advance, then pick up when I need to right before the event. Can't say enough nice things about this location and all the people who work there. You can't go wrong if you stop in for lunch or dinner at this D'Angelo's!“

They do have delivery but I opted for pick up as it right next to the rink. They gave us coupons to save on the large order. Definitely will be back. Reservations are recommended and the place was full within the first hour of operation. It can be a little noisy, but that's to be expected for an restaurant that is as popular as Romaine's. “Came here on a rainy Saturday afternoon, the parking lot was busy, but we found parking upon arrival and were seated when we came in.

The interior is very clean, well lit, and was bustling with an excited crowd of customers - the best sign for any restaurant.

A server brought water while we looked over the menu. I ordered panko battered shrimp, chicken rice dish, and my wife got brisket Pho. We also ordered a limeade and vietnamese coffee.

The coffee was phenomenal, it's my go-to drink when get Vietnamese and this did not disappoint. A rich bold coffee cut with sweet cream; it tasted like coffee ice cream.

Our server brought a dish of very fresh bean sprouts, basil, and other toppings for the pho. I was shocked at how green, fresh, and clean everything was - no wilted greens, no slimy bean sprouts. Everything was FRESH and crunchy.

The appetizer came a few minutes later, hot and crunchy. The sweet chili sauce was perfect.

Our entrees were hot, delicious and well portioned. They use chicken thighs which have so much more flavor, and were juicy and flavorful. The sunny side egg looked like a video game egg- perfectly round and shiny yolk.

My wife enjoyed her Pho, it had plenty of thin cuts of tender beef, just enough bone/fat to be flavorful. The cuts of beef weren't fatty.

10/10 will come here again.“
