I've been hearing excellent buzz about Soc Trang for quite a while. Today I had the opportunity to eat there, and I'm so glad I did.
My arrival was in between the lunch and dinner hours, this restaurant serves food all day. The menu is exceptional and varied. I ordered the Banh Pho Xao, which isn't the Pho soup, it's the stir fried noodle with veggies and chicken. Wow! Such good food!

Soc Trang Restaurant serves delicious and authentic Vietnamese cuisine at an affordable price. The portions are huge, and the service is prompt and friendly. The pho, particularly #8 pho and beef combo pho, is a must-try, with fresh and flavorful ingredients that make it better than what some have experienced elsewhere. The restaurant also offers other mouth-watering dishes, such as the fried wonton shrimp appetizer, lemongrass broth with rice noodles and shrimp, bun bowl with grilled pork and spring roll, spicy seafood pho, and fried egg rolls. The food is clean, fresh, and reminiscent of the flavors found in Ho Chi Minh and Canton, Vietnam.
With plenty of space inside and a cheerful staff who are knowledgeable about the menu, Soc Trang Restaurant creates a welcoming atmosphere. Although parking may be a bit challenging, it is manageable, and the restaurant is a bit off the beaten path, making it a hidden gem. The menu features many choices, including the outstanding Teriyaki appetizer. Fast service and great staff make it a top choice for authentic Vietnamese food, and it's definitely worth a return visit.
