“I recently visited family in Massachusetts and met with friends at Barber's Crossing in Sterling. I am 73 years old and have eaten out in many places. Over the last couple of years anyone that you speak with will tell you that the prices have gone UP, and the quality and Portion sizes have gone DOWN. THAT WAS NOT TRUE AT BARBER'S CROSSING DURING MY VISIT. I had to call my daughter and tell her what a wonderful meal I had. Every bite was just as flavorful and tasteful as the first. Even the mashed potatoes tasted fresh and homemade. Whenever I return to Mass for a visit. I will be sure to stop and eat there again. It was the best meal that I have had at a restaurant in years! The waitress was very friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was quite pleasant. But the food was exceptional. Keep up the great work in the kitchen.“

“Went for first time 3/3/24 and caught the end of the brunch buffet around 4pm. The food was flavorful, fresh, and overall excellent. Something for everyone in that buffet -it's not overly seasoned, and they had several deserts that use natural sweeteners (like dates and figs) with no added sugar. They keep the food areas very well attended and clean. I will be back again and again, what a great find!“

Reservations are recommended and the place was full within the first hour of operation. It can be a little noisy, but that's to be expected for an restaurant that is as popular as Romaine's. We had a fantastic meal at Shiraz Persian Restaurant. We started with the Kashk-e Bademjan, and it was exceptional—rich, smoky eggplant paired with the tangy sharpness of kashk, fragrant mint oil, and sweet crispy onions on top. For the main, the Ghormeh Sabzi tasted like it came straight out of a traditional home kitchen. The herbs were slowly simmered to perfection, the meat was fall-apart tender, and the dried Persian lime added just the right amount of tanginess to cut through the richness. Paired with their fluffy basmati rice, it was pure comfort food. Highly recommend checking this spot out if you are in Worcester!“
