“This is a really nice place in terms of environment, really warm atmosphere, you can feel like you are at your grandma’s house during the winter, that is how I was feeling.
The service is amazing, people working there is so nice, gentle and sweet. The drinks….. the drinks….. wine and beer are 100% local, home made, and those were just amazing. Different wines like red, white and sweet, all great. My concern, the menu. The have a very notable difference between the lunch menu and the dinner menu. Lunch is basically sandwiches, no too many options. Make sure to check the menu before visiting and make sure to go at a time according what you would like to eat.“

“The BBQ sampler and Brisket plate were both excellent. It took a little while for the food to be served, but very much worth the wait. Both the sampler and the brisket plate offered generous portions, prepared perfectly using quality cuts of meat, with very good rubs and BBQ sauce. The included sides were also very nicely flavored and freshly made. A corn bread muffin accompanied each meal. Our server was attentive, friendly and unrushed while at our table. This was our second visit to Slater's and again we were very pleased with everything.“

“Went for first time 3/3/24 and caught the end of the brunch buffet around 4pm. The food was flavorful, fresh, and overall excellent. Something for everyone in that buffet -it's not overly seasoned, and they had several deserts that use natural sweeteners (like dates and figs) with no added sugar. They keep the food areas very well attended and clean. I will be back again and again, what a great find!“

“Absolutely the best N. Y. Sirloin I have ever tasted. It was thick, tender and favorable, served with a chicken-of-the-woods reduction that was perfectly paired with the steak. Reservations are recommended and the place was full within the first hour of operation. It can be a little noisy, but that's to be expected for an restaurant that is as popular as Romaine's. Appointment and I didn't have a breakfast, so I happen to spot this right around the corner, and I have to say, I've had the best onion, bagel sausage, egg and cheese, sandwich that I've had. Also, wasn’t as expensive as I thought it’d be. Found another sort of hidden gem in this area. Pic is some home fries with sausage patties, eggs, bacon, coffee, orange juice, some bread, and strawberry Nutella pancakes.“

“The bagels are made fresh daily. They sell day old bagels for a discounted price. The eggs are not microwaved, and the meat for the sandwiches are not microwaved either. Everything is made on a short order grill. I drive 30 mins out of my way to have someone ride do it right. I have not found a place within Worcester County that does it this good.

“We tried Nani’s Pizza for dinner tonight and were pleasantly surprised, the red sauce was delicious! We ordered a large sausage and pepperoni pizza that had lots of flavor and was reasonably priced. We also tried a large steak bomb sub holding the peppers due to a food allergy adoing extra mushrooms. There were no surprise peppers and no need to try to find the mushrooms! We are happy customers and Nani’s will be our new go to for a pizza or a sub in Clinton, MA! The items we tried were excellent as was the value. Our first and surely not our last visit! A very welcome addition to Clinton.“

We ordered the Poutine for an appetizer and my husband ordered The Gatsby burger and I ordered The Phenomenal burger!! Both were outstanding as well as the traditional northeast classic (Poutine). The cute decor and homey feel was perfect. We arrived on a Saturday at 10:30am and it was packed, yet we only waited 7 min.
The waiter was very personable.
The Chocolate Chaud tastes like a melted fudge bar.
We had the potato leek soup, le burger with pork belly, crepes(arrived cold) and berries and duck potatoes(omg melt in your mouth).
I LOVE duck and it is very hard to find. Everything was phenomenal.
So why only 4 stars?
My one complaint. I got crepes and added strawberries. I expected to pay the $2. for berries. But they charged me an extra $1.85 for syrup! Not real Vermont syrup, but bottled syrup. There was maybe 2 tablespoons of syrup in the small metal container I was given.
I'm a chef at a breakfast restaurant. Syrup is a condiment. They don't charge for ketchup, so why syrup? And almost $2?! I could see if it was real syrup as an upgrade or something. I don't mind paying the high prices for the food as the quality was amazing. Worth it for the $27 burger! The soup? Some of the best potato leek we've ever had. But the nickel and diming just left us a bit disappointed after paying $6 for 6oz of OJ.“

“I just wanted to give a huge shoutout to a place we all know and love… Dean Park Pizza!! 🍕 I had ordered pizza from another shop in town for my son’s birthday party at school today because they had the option for delivery. When they driver hadn’t shown up 45 mins after the expected delivery time and the owner of the first pizza shop telling me “it’s not his problem” and hanging up the phone on me.. I called Dean Park in a panic because at this point I had a class of 20 hangry preschoolers that needed to eat and get to sleep. They not only made my 5 pizzas in 15 mins but gave my son a free bag of chips for his birthday!! The pizza was delicious as always but nothing compares to their customer service!!
