Chicken used to be cut up in the store, which meant that happened a max of 24 hours prior to purchase. Now if happens at some unknown plant, who knows how long ago? Even the (boneless, skinless) product in the case has that dull, day-old sheen, and that unpleasant, tacky, greasy feel that happens when it sits in the fridge for a few days. The turkey dinner was a disaster. The turkey was OK, but everything else was so-so. The mashed potatoes were very salty, as were the stuffing and the gravy. The cranberry-orange sauce tasted strange and was loaded with sugar. The only side dish with any hope was the green beans, which were almost raw.
